Stevie answered a lot of great questions on Facebook. I was floored by her answer to the question about with whom she would want to duet. James Taylor! I did not see that coming, but it's a brilliant choice!
Could you imagine them doing an album together? It will never happen, but it blows my mind how instinctively great that would be, even if it was just one song together! I'm unsure how well they know each other; I don't think they are close friends -- I can't recall any past associations between the two. But they must have crossed paths at some point in history.

I'm not sure if they have ever crossed paths, but I recall her saying that Fire and Rain was one of the songs she loved and sang along with during the time she was new to Los Angeles. She had also mentioned Kenny Loggins' Danny's Song and of course she ended up singing with him in the late 70's.

I'm not sure why that's a surprise to anyone. Stevie has cited Joni Mitchell as an influence, and she and Linda Ronstadt were the two most prominent female rockers for a couple of years in the late '70s. They (and James) were all part of that 1970s Laurel Canyon singer-songwriter scene.

I love his music. He was one my sisters favorite singers along with Carly Simon.
Maybe she redo "Mockingbird" with him.I love that song.

That would be great.
James is a great singer. He gets so much attention for his songwriting,
but people forget what a great soulful singer he is.
I've always wished Stevie would sing with Robert Plant.

I'm on the fence about Duet albums. Tony Bennett has gone that route with two albums, which I find very interesting. But it seems to be the thing to do before retiring.
I prefer to have new music from Stevie (even if it's just more songs from her vault). But I would love a Duets album from Stevie. Besides James Taylor and Robert Plant, who else would fit the bill?

I thought of that; it's a great song and one of my favorites. But that's sacrilege territory between James and Carly. It would best to leave that one alone. I 'd hope they would sing new songs instead of covering themselves.

I'm not a James Taylor fan at all. He was always boring to me. I always thought Dan Fogelberg was better, if you compare similar sounding music. He'd make a great duo with Stevie, but of course he's gone so that's impossible.

No duets album, please. Thanks. That's one I would definitely, positively, never buy - even if they were songs all penned by Stevie herself. I haven't listened to SDMHA in years. I never listen to TOSOTM and that awful Juliet, and would skip it if I did. Bruce Horsby? No thanks. The only duets I want to hear Stevie sing are with Lindsey Buckingham or Christine Mcvie.
