Audio Masterpost - All Shows

[Little Queenie]

Since there is a video masterpost, I will start an audio masterpost.

As you guys come across audio files, just post them here. I'll try and be on the look at the tour goes on and post as they appear on the good ole interwebs!

[Little Queenie]

CHICAGO, IL 10-2-14

Complete audio from Chicago 10-2-14

https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2949/15243564310_55cfd14af6_z.jpg
photo courtesy of me from my sad little seat :)

The sound quality came out pretty well. The audio really does capture how excited the audience were.

I do apologize for the very odd people around me. Also there so many people walking in and out of my aisle so sometimes the audio might sound a little funny...so annoying.

Anyways, here is the download. If you guys wants to re-upload these yourselves, go ahead because the bandwidth on my media fire might reach its limit. I'm putting up links for both individual songs and the entire show.

Warning : they are somewhat large files! but I've also uploaded a really compressed version but there obviously will be loss in audio quality. So download what you like:)

Recorded with Tascam DR-07 (Section 319), 256 K, CBR, 44.1K > uploaded to Pro-Tools >added Compression and EQ

blah bah blah & ENJOY!!!!!

Fleetwood Mac Live in Chicago, IL at the United Center 10-2-14

Update 10-5-14 : I re-uploaded the audio because I needed to fix the EQ on it. So now it doesn't sound so harsh on the higher frequencies.

Lol just following your lead. I mean, your thread needed a friend;)

Can someone put a stickie on both this thread & the video thread? It would make it easier to find these threads at the top of the board.

Does anyone have this version in mp3s?

I refuse to mess with mp3's since they have ruined the FM trading circles (Which is another reason I do not trade anymore...But I will post links for those who are wanting recordings in lossless format only!)

[moon]

I'm so grateful with the shows you uploaded. The sound is really good and is nice to listen finally a good setlist. It's a shame onece again there was only ONE songs from Mirage, but I can't discuss the good times recorded here.
Thank you all!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I could watch ABoF&L 24/7, I think. The quote in my signature has always been one of my favorites because it's awesome the way Stephen Fry is dressed and delivers that line. Love it!

Thanks! The quality is better on this one than the first one.

I think the second source for that show is much better as well. So far, the tapers have done a pretty great job on this tour. I hope it continues and we can get a complete tour of fantastic recordings!

Comments:

Second date of Fleetwood Mac's fall 2014, featuring the triumphant return of Christine McVie on keyboards and vocals. I went in with fairly low expectations, thinking that the 71-year-old McVie wouldn't make a big difference in the performance after a nearly 20-year layoff -- particularly considering that they would be working out the kinks early in the tour. I was pleasantly surprised -- Mac delivered a solid 2 1/2-hour show that featured solid musicianship and a lot of high points throughout the show. McVie sounded great, and the songs where she sang lead vocals were welcome returns to the setlist (I assume that her signature songs like "Say You Love Me" have been absent from their setlists for the last couple decades, though I haven't been following their career). For me, her songs were the highlight of the show -- she was in great voice, and except for a slight hiccup at the start of "Say You Love Me," her tracks were delivered perfectly.

The only drawback of the show was that the pacing really dragged during the midsection of the show, with Stevie's 10-minute "Gold Dust Woman" that featured a lot of swaying and scarves and a plodding pace, followed by the equally low-energy "I'm So Afraid." I'm generally not one to complain that a show was too long, but they could easily cut down the first song and drop the second one and have a really solid 135-minute set.

One oddity of the show was that Stevie came out to deliver closing remarks after the final song of the second encore -- mostly to proclaim how glad she was that Christine was back in the band -- and then Mick Fleetwood brought his pre-teen daughters out to give an odd soliliquy about peace and love. Neither were bad, necessarily, but an odd, low-key way to end the show.

In terms of recording quality, I was not in a direct line to the speakers, so this could have been better. However, given that I was in the front row of the club section beside the stage, I got reasonably good sound although it is boomier than I would like. The low end is really solid, and with some EQ in Audio Cleaning Lab I was able to cut out some of the arena reverb and emphasize the vocals. Overall I was pretty pleased with the results.

If you're a Fleetwood Mac fan, this may be worth the download because I have no doubt that the setlist and pacing will change as the tour evolves, and some of the songs here will probably be dropped. Overall, very entertaining, and an evening (and $300) well spent.

A CD-friendly 16-bit version will be posted separately.

Feel free to do what you like with this recording (cross-post it anywhere you wish, but don't sell it).

Feel free to do what you like with this recording (cross-post it anywhere you wish, but don't sell it).

Could someone post mp3s of this show? saintbernard?;)

Fleetwood Mac
Garden - Boston, MA
2014-10-10 (Friday, October 10, 2014)

AT943 cardiod (3-wire) > Church Audio ST-9100 > Sony PCM-10
Loge 13 Row 7, in line with 12th row of the floor
AUdacity, cdwave, TLH

Standard set from early in the Mac's reunion tour with Christine. Lindsey outstanding as always. But the rhythm section needs to shake off the rust a little. Excellent recording (IMHO) with minimal audience interference. A couple of spots of static removed and/or repaired (thanks P and C) from level adjustments and bumps of the patch cable coming out the preamp.

I was excited about my seat as it was the first time I've taped from that area at MSG. The sound was loud and crisp. Also, almost no up close crowd, clapping or talking, but sometimes during slower parts you can hear background chatter. Mics picked most of that up from the people in the lower bowl and noisy private suites below me. Enjoy!

even though I'm no longer a fan of FM, I remember how SOME people who traded their music would charge others for recordings they found online...not cool in my books at all!

If I can point people in the right direction to share the music, then I'm happy...

Maybe someday I will get back into FM, but until they quit the "GREEDY Nostalgic Act" tour WITHOUT new music routine (Not the only band guilty of this I must say), I will sit on the sidelines....

Peace out and blame Canada!!!

In my opinion, Minneapolis Source 2 & MSG 10/6/14. I think they are both A quality recordings. I don't know about the Philadelphia show since saintbernard hasn't uploaded it yet. The others are also very good too. The tapers have done a great job so far.

Isn't that the show where Mick forgot to introduce John?

NOTES:

This was the 8th show I think into the tour and they sounded pretty good. Me and wife went and had
a great time, had a great meal beforehand and the wanding they did at venue was a joke thankfully so
getting the gear in was easy. I was a bit worried about my seats as they were a bit back but I
taped them in 2009 and had about the same seats and felt like it might be ok. It was...
Keeping in mind these guys are 65-71 years old, its a pretty solid show. Worth seeing one more time
with Christine back...probably the last I think...but who knows. The set was great, hits galore but
at this point, what else do you want? Had some seat issues, of course just my luck, not worth explaining
other than if the two girls in front of me where not big as houses, I would not have cared, but since
I was taping, I did care and you can hear it in my voice and they weren't even dancing!!! They did finally
sit about 99% of the gig after the 6th song or so except for Gold Dust Woman but I just swung my head
around for that...I thought the vocals and harmonies were pretty good, not superb but overall, pretty good.
Christine is 71, so she ain't too bad for that age. Lindsey is a beast and the heart of the band still.

There are no fades in the tracks - split for 2 discs after track 18.

Repost, have fun, just keep info and file set intact. No MODS/Matrixes please.
MP3 for personal use only please.

I think Adrive is doing maintenance right now. Or at least they are on my account. I have a message that the account is in maintenance mode and should be back to normal in 24 hours. Try again later tonight or early tomorrow and you should (hopefully!) be able to get it. (Hopefully this "maintenance mode" thing doesn't mean they are suspending the account. If so, I reckon I'll move somewhere else and upload there.)

That happens sometimes. They do their backups and tune up the site and now and then.

I've been on Adrive since 2008 and never have any issues.

My ADrive account is still locked in maintenance mode. I have sent them a message on Facebook about it and am waiting on a response and to hopefully get the account unlocked in the next day or two. Once it is unlocked, I will be uploading and posting the Indianapolis and Philadelphia shows off dime.

Wow... absolutely wonderful to see and hear Christine again.

On the technical front, so-so recording from back of hall and due to the dreaded
"detection issues" I only made it to Seven Wonders filming. Oh well ya win some
and ya lose some. I narrowly escaped getting tossed.

Don't you mean Pittsburgh instead of Philadelphia? I already have the first Philadelphia show.

I do mean Pittsburgh instead of Philadelphia. :) I'm still waiting on them to unlock that account.

[Kubrick2788]

Is it normal for Adrive to be down for this long for 'maintenance'? I'm really glad the Columbus and Pittsburgh shows are up, but now it won't let me get to them :(

This is a problem that others have had, apparently. The only way I've found to get it fixed is to contact them and let them fix whatever is blocking the account. I've contacted them twice and am yet to hear anything back. I'm going to try contacting them once more. If it doesn't work upload elsewhere. They are not proving that customer service is their strong point.

I must say that this is one of the best shows I have ever witnessed. This is my 5th time seeing the band since the 1970's, and by far the best one yet! I was moved to tears on several occasions, mostly by the presence and voice of Christine McVie. The band is once again intact and firing on all cylinders! I could not have planned for a better audience around us, simply beautiful taping conditions. The sound system and mix were perfect!! This is a very accurate representation of the evening's events. No editing done other than boosting the talking tracks by 3db, and normalizing the entire set.

Fits perfectly on 2 CD-R's if split after track 17.

As always, NEVER for sale, trade freely, and always support the artists' commercial endeavors.

Enjoy,

David

94 of 100 consecutive 2014 masters

Probably nowhere near as good as last week's recording by falconidave but not bad for $64.75 I spent on the ticket, which is just about the absolute high end for what I would spend on anything.

I promised 100 consecutive shows from 2014. I know I have slowed down a bit, it's not because I can't fulfill the order but because I am so backed up on transfers. I recorded exactly 100 sets during the month of August which is how I came up with the number and I am still stuck in August! I bumped this to the front of the line though.

This show was recorded in section 118 left hand side of stage in direct line with the left speaker stacks.

Boguspomp comments:

IMHO one of DGB's best recordings. Very nice crispy sound.
I can't believe it is from that same Arena as many other recordings were.
Nice very long FM show.

Enjoy

What a great show from Fleetwood Mac! I have seen Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingahm solo before but this was my first Fleetwood Mac show. What the hell was I waiting for??? There is a chemistry at work within this group that makes them even better than as solo artist playing the same songs. There were quite a few talkers around me so you will hear them on occassion But overall I really like how the recording came out I had to make some volume and level adjustments during the first minute on The Chain. This is the last of 2014 concerts for me and it was a great way to end. Looking forward to 2015!

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

This is a very accurate and amazing representation of the evening's events. No editing done other than boosting the talking tracks by 3db, and normalizing the entire set.

There is really not much difference, but the sample will demonstrate this. If you like the warm
sound of Schoeps, then go for this. If you don't care, then get Dave's.

Tapers Notes:

Free VIP ticket allowed me to sit with band member's families. That's the good news. The bad
news is that they were late and I had to be on best behavior stealthing this show, as brothers
and sisters of the band members wanted to WTF I was doing.

As a result, the first two songs crapped out but found a patch from Falcon Dave.
Thanks!

The true thanks go not to me, but to the taping community behind whose footsteps
I have followed, including those who have perfected the art of stealth
recordings, the makers of the stealthy mikes, cords, adapters, and preamps, and
those who have graciously shared their recording techniques.

I am merely a mike stand with a credit card and driver's license.

As always, I don't care what you do with these files, once you download
them--they are yours now, except these files are not for sale, free
trade only. You can thank me by uploading something of a similar genre

Thanks an advance.

Such a splendid abundance of audio! I don't know where to start.

Do any of these audience recordings have exceptionally good sound quality? If someone can let me know, I will start there.

I would start with the first show, Minneapolis, Source #2. This is a terrific recording. Make sure it's source #2 as the source #1 recording is not very good. The Madison Square Garden show is also really good too.

A LARS M RECORDING
---

Rec. Info:
Sony ECM 719 mic -> Sony PCM D50 (at WAV 16/44) -> HD -> USB Stick received via Mail -> my HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...
Recorded by dear taper brother Lars at Section C, Row 26, seat # 5, about 30 meters from stage left side. A few notes from the original accompanying letter: "My farest away show.
Fun to be there. But Americans can't shut up. My fifth FM show in the fifth country! Full house at second night at MSG." Well, of course it sounds a bit distant, but he's very right with
the chatty crowd. Luckily I wasn't there, cause I've would've gone mad, cause you know, as a taper you always HEAR the chatters ABOVE the music. Anyway, due to the seating and the usual
low volume, this sounds a bit flat. Tried to increase the lower end a bit, but not to a real satisfying result. Anyway, all thanks to the mighty great taper from OSLO, Norway for this tape.

---
Well, I won't be writing too much on the setlist of this show, as it's the same as on the shows before. I just want to express that I'm as happy as a rabbit facing a pair of fresh carrots
or my avatar would if I'd let him eat a T-Bone-Steak. Latter I won't allow, but former is ok, cause since I've got/remastered/posted shows up on DIME, I've always wanted to do FM. Or, at
least a STEVIE NICKS show. I'd worn out at least 2 vinyls of RUMOURS throughout the years, and there might be one track on that album that was completely earsed from the plastic. Your guess...
So, this is my dedication to the goddess of my teenage daze, the queen of my dreamnights...but ok, I was just one in many millions...thanks so much, and now...let's get on with the show! SB.

Where it says "torrent file" at the top, click on the link to the right of that and it'll open in your torrent client such as uTorrent or BitTorrent.

You have to download a torrent-cliënt as well. U-torrent is a good one for windows.

Then click in the xxx.torrent link on top of the page and your just downloaded torrent-cliënt will open. Follow the steps overthere and let your computer do the thing. Depending on your connection as wel as the amount of seeders people who have downloaded the files as well and who are still sharing) it can be on your computers whiten minutes or can make some longer (up tot days).

Fleetwood Mac Bewitches the Frank Erwin Center
A triumphant return for the Fab Five
BY RAOUL HERNANDEZ, 12:47PM, MON. MAR. 2
If ever an arena rock band made a convincing case for its own unplugged club tour, it was Fleetwood Mac Sunday night at the Frank Erwin Center. At the hour mark of an epic, 160-minute, 23-song show, a stripped down mini set cushioned the stillness and enduring beauty of songs known to all. Rockers age – musicians, compositions – but intimacy never grows old.

At the collective age of 338, Fleetwood Mac – Mick Fleetwood, 67, John McVie, 69, Christine McVie, 71, Stevie Nicks, 66, and Lindsey Buckingham, 65 – creak where they used to coke, but the longer they cajoled the sold-out Red River Drum, now choked by the surrounding construction of UT’s Dell Medical School, the more convincing they became. By the end of the marathon performance, you could almost believe the group’s late-Seventies heyday had returned – no worse for the wear and tear.
Opening with four straight tunes from their magnum opus, 1977’s Rumours, of which only two songs were omitted live, F-Mac’s shadow band couldn’t quite even out the headliners. Two auxiliary guitarists, three backup singers, and an unintroduced second drummer sitting behind Fleetwood’s gong augmented the all-star quintet, Nicks in elevated shoes and high heels to rival Seventies Kiss, which may or may not have explained stage moves best described as arthritic. When the band flubbed the opening to second song “You Making Loving Fun,” its author and singer, Christine McVie, shrugged helplessly across the stage to first guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

On the succeeding “Second Hand News,” Buckingham proved he’s still F-Mac’s spark, its bark and bite. Nicks’ voice, husky now where once it spooked smoky, shook off some rust on “Rhiannon.” Her sister of the moon in the band, McVie – returned after a nearly two-decade hiatus – proved best in voice, her vocal showcases “Everywhere,” “Little Lies,” and solo show closer on piano, “Songbird,” recalling her maiden name: Perfect.
“A prophetic and profound new chapter in the band,” announced Buckingham in welcoming back the former Christine Anne Perfect, a sentiment later echoed by Nicks and Fleetwood.
“Tusk,” featuring many horns and backing tracks not played live onstage – and accompanied by the best use of video graphics that throughout the show could only be termed screen savers – and album mate “Sisters of the Moon” bottled still-underrated Rumours follow-up Tusk. “Go Your Own Way” to close the main set never took flight, and the drum solo in “World Turning” came too late in the show. “Don’t Stop” transcended even the band given its political overtones of the last peaceful presidency this country has enjoyed in 35 years.

At the heart of the evening beat five crystalline selections that surpassed the pomp of a classic rock concert. Buckingham’s solo acoustic delivery of “Big Love,” which then segued into a duet with Nicks on “Landslide,” and back out into his mostly unaccompanied “Never Going Back Again” brought a hush to even the FEC rafters. McVie’s stilling “Over My Head,” for which Fleetwood took to a stripped drum kit center stage, unearthed Rumours precursor Fleetwood Mac.
Even then, Nicks’ Mirage marker “Gypsy” eclipsed the whole portion with a heartfelt reminisce of her roots in San Francisco’s mid-Sixties music scene – opening to Hendrix, Joplin, Santana, CCR – and a truly bewitching vocal.

Remaining was an elongated, psych-tinged delve into her “Gold Dust Woman,” Buckingham’s trademark guitar showcase “I’m So Afraid” (also from Fleetwood Mac), and his searing solos on both. If Tusk remains under-appreciated, the guitarist’s preternatural ability on six strings is still criminally unheralded. No matter, really.

I hope a better recording of this show will surface but until then enjoy this one. Recorded with my lecture recorder, it may fall into the completist only category. The concert is in one continuous mp3 file and is missing Big Love.

MSN's hotmail informed me it is changing its service in some odd way on that date. I wonder what is going on in the FCC community?

comments:
the etree setlisting for this show indicates a different 1st song (over my head,
which is not in this recording, but etree doesn't mention "say you love me" either) but other than that, the same titles are all in here. It's a 90 minute cassette of the show, edited some during recording because the taper was trying to save tape space, so a couple of songs cut in slightly, most are complete, probably only had 1 cassette, but it's pretty good sound considering it was supposedly recorded on a boombox. I got this
in a snail trade in the early 80's. sounds like the taper didn't have too much between speakers and mikes since the music (including the vocals, important with this band) comes through clearly. any one of track 8, 9, 10 or 11 would all make for suitable 1st track of disc 2 options, although I think track 10 would be the best. Fleetwood Mac has the unusual distinction of being a band to record 2 (different) songs with the same name (Angel). The 1st one is on "heroes are hard to find" (and live recordings of it also hard to find), the second appeared on the studio LP of this tour, Tusk, which came out in 79. that is the version heard here. this was an inspired, passionate performance that I think any fan of the Steviemac will enjoy.
If you like the Bob Welch angel, don't get your hopes up, this is a different song, not a re-worked version of one of my favorite Mac tunes. they do a nice version of the chain and I'm so afraid in here. the Fleetwood Mac Live album was recorded on this tour, from Tokyo, Japan, Witchita, Ks,
London, U.K. Santa Monica, Tuscon, Kansas City, Paris, Cleveland, St. Louis, Passaic and Okla. City, but none of it was from the Boston concert. Boston had their turn to host an officially released Fleetwood Mac concert in 2004. All of that 2 disc set was recorded in Boston, and there was some sort of release involving one or more of their Tea Party shows in the Peter Green days (1970 I think), not sure if that was a boot or official, maybe both?
the next live Mac release after the tusk tour one was "the dance", from a May 23, 1997 concert that was broadcasted on a MTV special.
Do not sell this recording.
This isn't just any "big mac" here.
(it's a "Steviemac")
Share freely, losslessly and gaplessly.

Great show from the band. Sure nice to have Christine back.
Regular screamers and whistlers that are part of a live show.
MTS Centre is a great venue for the big name bands.
Same set list as other shows.

===================================================

Fleetwood Mac played 2 consecutive days at JFK stadium. This recording is from the 2nd day.

With an attendance of over 73,000 fans, the show started at high noon on Sunday, along with co-headliner The Steve Miller Band.

Opening act was ex-Fleetwood Mac member Bob Welch's the Sanford-Townsend Band.

Here is a pre-show write up from The Philadelphia Daily News.

http://bla.fleetwoodmac.net/index.php?page=index_v2&id=524

Post-show review in Rolling Stones from a lousy critic.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/fleetwood-mac-clicks-without-nicks-19781005

Even though this is a newly surfaced recording from a 1st gen, this is average to fair quality at best.

This becomes more distorted as it progresses, most likely due to a weakened battery.

One of the good things I noticed was that the crowd noise isn't over bearing. It's actually way quieter than I expected.

In my opinion the taper might have been some where away from any crazed fans.

Recording Notes.

Track 6 'Oh Daddy' has 2 drop outs @ 3:17 & 3:33.

At the end of that song, there was a barely noticeable tape cut.

Then I'm assuming that the tape is missing the following 4 songs.

Never Going Back Again
Landslide
Say You Love Me
Gold Dust Woman

I can't prove anything is missing because I can't find a legit set list anywhere.

You can't believe setlist.fm every time, or etree for that matter.

Also considering the fact that there were Fleetwood and Steve Miller, 2 major acts playing this day,

It's plausible that Mac would have performed a shorter show. I now believe this might be the whole show.

Track 8 has some issues. There are 2 quick drop outs at the 0:20 mark right as Lindsey is getting ready to start the song.

Followed by something that seems like a power outage @ 1:04. It's kind of strange, I don't know what really happened there.

Later in the middle of the song there are 2 more tape cuts @ 2:15 and 3:10.

After those cuts the volume had dropped dramatically. I had to raise and balance the volume to match the rest of the song.

After track 8 there was the tape flip and I was able to seamlessly piece it together with no noticeable break.

At the end of track 11 'Blue Letter', there is a tape stop, sounds like the batteries are dying.

Track 12 'Gold Dust Woman' has a tape cut @ 6:04.

I would consider this for the die-hard collectors who are looking to fill a missing gap in their collection.

Regardless of the quality and possible missing songs, this is a brand new recording source that has never been circulated or posted.

Thanks to Mitch for taping and thanks to Rich for the 1st gen cassette.

I've added a scan of the j-card and cassette and a few additional photos inside the torrent.

I'm left with 2 questions:

With over 73k in attendance, why hasn't there been any other audience recordings to surface?

Why wasn't this recorded and broadcast for the radio?

Samples Provided.

I'm listening to the bootleg right now, I was particularly curious because I remember this show got one of the worst reviews (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/fleetwood-mac-clicks-without-nicks-19781005) the band ever had, but it's really not so bad.
