View Full Version : So… what are your TOP 6 favorite songs so far from 24 Karat Gold...

Note: This probably isn't that fair to the songs like The Dealer or Lady that came out first because they are not in the forefront of your minds while you are encoding the new material.
And tastes change. What are my favorite songs today probably won't be in a month. THIS IS REALLY HARD! The whole album is awesome. Mabel even grew on me. :)
So far these are my TOP 6...
1. If You Were My Love
2. Hard Advice
3. 24 Karat Gold
4. The Dealer
5. Belle Fleur
6. Blue Water

You're right. Tastes change. Favorites change. Songs you once hated can grow into top favorites after decades (which is what happened to a lot of songs on RAL and TOSOTM for me, personally). What started as favorite songs off of IYD a mere three years ago have now become blah to me. So yeah, it's still kind of too early to make a true assessment of this album, as a couple of songs I initially disliked are really growing on me now...
...but as of right now (and in no particular order) the six songs I can honestly say that I keep coming back to over and over again on this new album are...
"If You Were My Love"
"24 Karat Gold"
"Belle Fleur"
"All The Beautiful Worlds"
"Watch Chain"
"Hard Advice"

Thanks. I should not of numbered mine either. Not really fair to do that. Beautiful Worlds keeps sounding better and better to me. I knew the song so well it was hard to get into. Love it. and Watch Chain.

1. Mabel Normand -- I absolutely love the free verse on here, although the lyrics are still a bit of a mess, it works. The music is moving and the sense of urgency in Stevie's delivery makes this a memorable track. Who would have thought the epic weirdness that was RAL would translate so well now? because it totally does here. I even like that there's no real chorus, it gives that verse "You just change sides" (the closest thing to a chorus) a much bigger impact and then lets the stream of consciousness carry you. It's a lot different than anything Stevie's done in the last ten years, and was a pretty gutsy move on her part to include it. She pulled it off brilliantly.
2. 24 Karat Gold -- What can I say? classic Stevie Nicks here. The song is atmospheric and witchy. I also really like the base throughout the song. A+.
3. All The Beautiful Worlds -- I love how true this stayed to the demo, the girls rocked on this one. And when did Stevie find her voice?? I felt like I was in a time warp. It really gets heavy near the end. So happy with it.
4. Belle Fleur -- I LOVE the intro and how funky it gets. I didn't expect this from hearing the demo and was pleasantly surprised as I didn't really care for the song before.
5. Hard Advice -- I read the lyrics first and prepared myself for the worst. I wasn't impressed to say the least, and was expecting a rehash of "That Made Me Stronger" *cringe*. However, I was so happy when I finally heard it. It flows so beautifully and has a fragility that's incredibly touching.
6. Twisted -- Although I was initially disappointed that this made it onto the record, I love how it turned out. It's very true to the Enchanted demo, and the calm wistfulness translates well into the song. It's beautiful.

24 Karat Gold (ok, I lied - this is my fav - obsessed with this song, and can't stop listening);
Mabel Normand (amazing vocals, again, can't stop listening);
All the Beautiful Worlds (huge surprise, as I never loved the demo);
Twisted (Stevie sounds 30 years younger on this song);
Lady (tears!); and
If You Were My Love (not the Mirage-style song I was hoping for, but stellar vocals, and LOVE that ending).

The ballads are starting to grow on me. I'm starting to like "If You Were My Love" as a tragic love song without the jaunty Mirage take. The flute in "She Loves Him Still" turns it into a lovely gaelic ballad. Originally "All the Beautiful Worlds" seemed better than the previous too, but I'm not sure anymore.

1) Belle Fluer (my favorite!! Good lyrics, great music love the intro. Hope she does this live. I bet she will. Such a hippie song)
2) Mabel Normnd (big surprise didn't expect to like it, let alone love it)
3) All the beautiful worlds (great vocals! I did expect this to be one of the best though)
4) 24 Karat (gold dust woman/sisters of the moon vibe) my friend said it also sounds like dreams that bass!
5) She lives him still (beautiful, sad, only Stevie. Great, great lyrics!
6) blue water (I didn't care for the demo so another surprise. I do like the mans voice)
All these song are great! I thought I'd like I Dont Care more. But it needs more lyrics. I usually like her rockers, but I listen to the slower songs more, songs like: If you were my love, Carousel, Blue water, she loves him still.
Best album ever!! I got a record player just for this. Now I'm listing to Tusk on vinyl. Vinyl really doesn't sound as good as cd/headphones like people have said. But it's interesting anyway. Cool experience.

The sound quality when you first play an original pressing vinyl is far superior to CD quality. If your copy of Tusk was an original 79 pressing that had never been played, the sound would blow you away.
The problem with vinyl, of course, is that it wears out quickly and is easilly damaged.
Unfortunately, with these modern vinyl's, the sound quality is pretty much the same as the CD as the same mastering process is used for both. And as it's vinyl, it wears out quicker.

Also, needle quality. I have hundreds of albums on both CD and viyl, and almost always prefer the vinyl sound (except for dance music). CDs are just louder, not better, though they can be cleaner if you have a poor quality turntable/needle or a dirty record. Even needles need to be cleaned with a carbon fiber brush. I clean the needle after every record.
And mastering techniques - a record should never be made from a CD master, and vice versa, but many labels and bands, hoping to jump on the vinyl bandwagon, do just that and the records they produce sound like crap.

This stellar album only proves what many of us have known for decades... that many of her best songs stayed in the vault. The good thing is that 24 K only scratches the surface! Really hard to pick a top 6, I really don't see any clunkers on this as some have said.
So, for someone who doesn't really like Rock a Little, I gotta say Mabel Normand is my top pick! This is just wonderful and really has the Stevie vibe that's taken a rest all these years. As for the rest:
All the Beautiful Worlds I would re-title All the Beautiful Vocals, it's just amazingly sung.
24 Karot: I agree, the classic that should have followed all the top names we know and love.
Belle Fleur: best into bar Edge of Seventeen on any solo song she's done, what an amazing build-up.
Watch Chain: Another stellar Mac classic that could've been.
I Don't Care: Love it! The less-lyrics is more works for me on this and I don't care that's it's 6 minutes long, I just care that she cared enough to take this risk and do an epic rocker. Well done Stevie! :p

I haven't heard the whole thing yet but I'm loving Mabel, Starshine and Watch Chain.
Starshine reminds me of Lou Reed's Vicious.
I keep singing "Starshine, you hit me with a flower".
Mabel reminds me of Bob Dylan.
I was surprised with the guitar on Watch Chain, having had the demo in my head from a bootleg I've had on vinyl since 1979. Love the heavy Warren Zevonish sound.
Loving the title track even though it recalls so much from Dreams.
Liking Hard Advice the least so far. The sound makes me think of mainstream faux "country" music and
that takes me to a bad Republican place in my mind. Feels over-wrought and unfinished.
But - I will say this: the musicianship and production on every track is stellar.
I expect great reviews and a better seller than In Your Dreams.
These Dave Stewart albums are worthy of a place right next to Bella Donna.

I don't like Mabel Normand and was kind of shocked at how it sounds given all the praise it's been getting here. I was like, "What? That still isn't a song. I really like Mabel Normand, precisely because it is different, and almost stylistically akin to Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan, in that she doesn't have a chorus that repeats again and again... and again.

24 karat gold - the backing vocals especially in the second half of the song really make it and are a little bit like the kinds of flourishes Lindsey adds to her songs.
Mabel Normand-- a lot of it is the guitar I think. I dunno. It still lyrically is a hot mess though.
I Don't Care-- I think she let Waddy get his Zeppelin on with this one; not sure it was her doing. Not crazy about the lyrics on the newly added bridge-- takes away from the raunchy, just shut up and eff me vibe of the original. And don't like the repeat of the bridge at the end.
Watch Chain-- like the groove of it. The lyrics are a bit thin but I do like the melody and words of the line "touching fingers through the kitchen lace". Very provocative.
Lady-- it goes on for well over a minute too long but it honors the demo beautifully.
Belle Fleur mostly because you asked for 6.

I like it, too. I'm thrilled to hear Stevie hurl herself out of that box of lyric conformity, and I hope she does it again. it reminds me very much of Neko Case's style of writing (Fever or Fox Confessor are great examples). The verse-chorus-bridge-chorus formula is so overdone in modern music. That formula is made for pop radio, and Mabel Normand is not for pop radio. It doesn't need to have a formula - it just needs to tell a story, which it does very well.
Human beings have been making music since before we were able to write it down. The pop radio formula of verse/chorus is not even a hundred years old.

It's hard to rank them right now when there are so many good songs, but here's my Top 10, which is certain to change.
Starshine - stage ready, let's go!
24 Karat Gold - moody, dark, exiting!
All the Beautiful Worlds - amazing vocals!
Watch Chain - love the bass!
Belle Fleur - awesome new intro!
She Loves Him Still - the one vocal that's actually better than the one on the original demo
The Dealer - a classic
Blue Water - love Lady Antebellum on this
Lady - 1 minute shorter and it would have been perfect
Hard Advice - surprisingly good and should have been used instead of TMMS on TISL.
I put 24 Karat Gold #3 behind Bella Donna and The Wild Heart. I hope she tours behind this record. What an amazing show this would be!

Yes, a song like Thoughts on a Grey Day. It's not a song. It's largely not even sung. It has music, but the words aren't set to that music and the words and are largely independent of the instrumentation. The words? They're not really in a full-fledged conversation. It's just rambling.
Of course, I've already noted that most people here do like it. That's what made is so surprising to me when I finally heard it, because the descriptions of it and it's transformation from the demo set me up to expect something completely different.

You wouldn't say that to Bob Dylan  Sorry, I know it's corny but I had to. Yes, this is not a song in the sense that there's no chorus, or even coherent versus. But it is a song. Just not the norm of what most people classify as a song. It has music, and Stevie is singing. It's called free verse. And her urgent vocal delivery keeps the song moving. I guess it's just a hit or miss for people.
KarmaContestant

And her urgent vocal delivery keeps the song moving.
Yes, exactly!! The vocal is the way Mabel Normand (and Stevie) lived at the time. Just on and on and never ending, chugging relentlessly along to the music. The song is perfectly made for what it's about.

I think it's not a song. Free verse is something quite different. Free verse can be put to music, but it stands alone as poetry. For instance, Enya has free verse songs that I appreciate. Mabel Normand does not stand alone as a poem, of any structure. For me, These Strange Times is a poem. Mabel Normand is not, so I wouldn't classify it as free verse. As for being a song, I think a song takes more than a pairing of words and unrelated music.
The change sides gets to be more song-like than the rest of the rambling though.
But I realize most people here do like Mabel Normand. I was expressing my impression, not seeking accord. It's just that I'd been reading everyone else's takes and I just listened to the record on Friday, so I have a late reaction to what everyone has been saying for a few weeks. Until Friday, all I had was the Mabel Normand demo.

Yes, exactly!! The vocal is the way Mabel Normand (and Stevie) lived at the time.
Yes, the vocal could be that, in the same sense that the vocal on RTTG is ceaseless and exhaustively expresses exactly how many flowers there are to cut down. You can't see (or hear) an end in sight, it goes on and on. So, I get your point.
Just on and on and never ending, chugging relentlessly along to the music.
That's where I disagree, because I don't think the vocal is done TO the music. The music does not match. It is unrelated. It does not enhance meaning or message to me and seems to have a different vibe than the words or the phrasing. There's a conflict to my ears.
I think for me, even if words have no meter or structure or syllable count, they still have to have a rhythm. That rhythm is what makes the sadness or the death or the pathos. Lindsey once said about Stevie that it's where she stops that counts. Pausing creates a rhythm as does inflection, making your voice high or low, to mimic or suggest the emotion.
I think Starshine does that very nicely. She stops and doesn't say "wrong." She gets us to say "wrong" in our head several times, before she actually says it on the record.
The way you say things, fast or slow or in sudden stops makes a beat that is a type of music in and of itself. That's why I mentioned These Strange Times, because it really does have a beat, in Mick's voice alone. I guess, for me, Mabel Normand just lacks that beat in the vocal and doesn't marry the music that's been attached to it.

I'd have to strongly disagree here. I think the music flows completely with the vocal. The inflection is most definitely there, and it moves with the music. I like the fact that there's no official chorus, it gives that verse "You change sides" a much bigger impact and then lets the stream of consciousness carry you once more. She pulled it off brilliantly in my honest opinion.

I don't think it's a song either but I love the music. It's just a stream of thought rambling like she is thinking out loud. I pick out little truths here and there in the song because basically that what she wants. She doesn't want people to sing along with it.

Michele
Maybe it's because I never heard the demo, I'm not sure, but I don't find "Mabel Normand" to be as meandering as some Nicks songs are. She's telling a definite story here, whereas some of her lyrics are so obtuse that they can seem like non-sequiturs. Musically it seems to fit the lyrical tale quite well, and I think that's what makes this whole song work....at least many people seem to have gravitated towards and like it.

Yes, I agree that it's stream of consciousness, more than anything else.
What I don't like is that, for me, her voice doesn't have any special cadence to give the words meaning or emphasis. Kind of like a comedian who has no timing, so when he gives the punchline, you're going, "Oh! Was that the end?" That would be a lesser comedian than Mabel, of course.
So, you either have to creat the "song" with the music or with the rhythm of your speech and I don't hear it, but definitely most listeners seem to put it in their top 5 list.

Alanis Morrisette does the same thing, more so. This song is like I Don't Care to me. Great music to chill too, but not that thrilled with the lyrics. But I can't really call it bad, because I love the backing music soo much.

I like part of I Don't Care, but when it gets to the 'I take it back, I DO care' part, it completely loses steam. It's a bridge that breaks apart, rather than sustains or connects the song segments. But she needs a rocker in concert and if this goes in in place of GAG, that should work fine.
To me, Starshine and The Dealer are obvious choices for her next solo tour.

yep. that was my criticism on my top 6 list. if the song needed that kind of musical interlude, just let it go without more words added. it had an appealing raunchiness to it that those words just spoil.

I like I Don't Care because the music is excellent. However, the lyrics are totally boring. I feel like saying who cares if you don't care you brat. They lyrics are not worthy of her. I feel like the lyrics are juvenile.
This song could of been a classic for the times if she would of written better lyrics. Still the music is stellar.

That's all good and fine but I think when you start dissecting a song as to whether it has verses and choruses it becomes a little bit of overkill to me. The words in any form, the vocal, and the music is what I feel makes a great song. It's not so much about structure but about execution and delivery of your message.

If you think talking about verses and choruses in a SONG is over dissecting, then it seems to me that you don't believe in discussion on a discussion board.
Besides, I didn't start off talking about that anyway. I just said it wasn't a song. Obviously, it's a song to the people who like it, but it's not a song to me. Then, people started telling me why it IS indeed a song. That's when I broke down what I was hearing. Lack of cadence in the vocal, incongruent music matched to words and message. You can recognize what a work aspires to be, without thinking it has achieved the aspiration. That's how I feel about this.
I don't think the execution and delivery was any good. If it had been then the lack of verses and choruses wouldn't have made a difference. If it had been, the execution and delivery would have created its own structure.
There are some songs that I don't like because I'm not into the style, like Lady. No particular reason why the song doesn't appeal to me, not something I can articulate. But when, someone initiates a discussion about a "not a song" comment I made and I can pinpoint a particular reason why I don't like it in a response, I will.
You like it and most people do. That's great, but that's not a reason for me not to discuss why I don't, when others have commented on a remark I made about it.

I really enjoy all the opinions - a wide span of love and hate, and everything in between. True art evokes an emotion and s reaction -- and this song certain fits the bill!
Even if you don't favor it, at least appreciate Stevie was brave enough to step out the comfort zone.

I just listened to it again. Where Michele loses me is where she thinks the music doesn't fit the lyrics and that the cadence is off. I'm not questioning that this is her perception but it's not mine - to me, the music fits the advancement of the lyric perfectly, and the cadence really works. I think the "change sides" slight break helps the song maintain a tension and keeps it from becoming monotonous.
Of course the cool thing about albums with 15 or 17 songs is that you can eliminate the tracks you really dislike and make a "perfect" (for you) album. I do this ALL the time. There are very few albums on my iTunes list that survive intact. I always make them fit what I want. With 24KG I'm not sure yet what I would eliminate, if anything.
I know I definitely love:
Starshine
24 Karat Gold
Mabel Normand
The Dealer
Lady
Belle Fleur
And I'm pretty sure I like:
Blue Water
She Loves Him Still
Cathouse Blues
Hard Advice
I Don't Care
All The Beautiful Worlds
Watch Chain
So that leaves:
Twisted - I like it, but I liked the soundtrack version. Sometimes I could see having two versions of the same song out (Thrown Down on SYW and Thrown Down as done for TISL, I love em both......Silver Springs as the Rumours out-take and Silver Springs from The Dance, I love them both too). But this version of Twisted just hasn't struck me (yet) as being necessary.
If You Were My Love - I'm just hung up on that I liked the Mirage demo a lot more.
Carousel - it's not a bad song, I just think of it as a Vanessa Carlton song and not a Stevie Nicks song.

I think that the "change sides" part is definitely the strongest element. For me, that would be the lure.

Even if I did like it, I wouldn't consider it a song. Just prose with music playing under. Although, it's not somber, it actually reminds me of some eulogies (or in memoriam segments) I've heard in the past. That's why I likened it to Thoughts on a Grey Day.
But I do agree that it was great that Stevie wanted something avant garde to make the cut. When we heard about 24 Karat Gold and everyone started making guesses, this song was on no one's list at all. I think it was mentioned once as a joke. And yet they did it and refused to be predictable. I like that, just as I would have liked the decision to use Soldier's Angel, even if I didn't like that song.

It's interesting to see how attached Stevie is to this song and how hard she's tried to make people like it, even though it's probably one that only her most ardent fans will give the same respect. It's a good song, but not worthy of so many different released versions.

yep, and that's why artists do better with a good editor. We get emotionally attached to something and that blinds us to the fact that it just isn't necessarily what *we* think it is. In music obviously this would mean a good producer with a good sense of who the artist is and what they're trying to do who can be honest about whether the material lives up to the artist's hopes and dreams of what they want it to be. Clearly Lindsey had a very good ear for her work in the day but was not particularly sensitive or considerate in how he expressed that. Now Dave, he is very sensitive and considerate it seems, but at the expense of not always being perhaps as much of a truth-teller as he could be. Dave cares if she likes him in the studio; Lindsey, not so much. There are pros and cons to each approach.

I really loved Twisted with Lindsey, not only for the way it sounded, but because of how much it thrilled me when it came out, when I thought I would never hear them sing together again. It was exhilarating to get Twisted and aside from the band interviews (even John!), the high point of my buying the Best Buy CD was Twisted.
Yet, I like this version just as much as the others. I almost want to say it's my favorite version, but I won't, because it's new. I have to see how I feel about it in 3 months before I rank it, but I definitely like it equally at least. I think she, Sharon and Lori sound really terrific on the arrangement.

No, I don't think verses and choruses are integral to a song. I said Mabel Normand didn't have any, but I certainly think you can have a song without verses and choruses. In fact, as a kid when I was in love with Sonny and Cher, I was obsessed with Sonny's solo album Inner Views and it was half filled with songs that contained no verses or choruses.
It was quite a departure from what he wrote or recorded for Sonny and Cher.

16. If You Were My Love
I clearly have done with "If You Were My Love" what others have done with other songs - attached to a particular demo such that this version just doesn't do it for me. "All The Beautiful Worlds" has a great chorus, I'm not keen on the 80's sounding synth at the beginning. "Twisted" I would rate higher had it not already been out in another form which I also liked. "Carousel" is a cute song, I ding it a bit because its a cover of an already released song. "Cathouse Blues" is cute but not a serious song (IMO).
Those are the only minor quibbles I have. Everything from #11 and above I think are rock solid songs, some of them pretty great.

I have to update my list, too, now that I've been listening to the album non-stop in the car and at the gym (on my iPod). :)
Apart from Bella Donna and The Wild Heart, I can't say I've ever loved at least 10 songs on one of her solo albums until now. I really really really really really hope she tours behind this record.
Most favorite to least favorite:
Starshine
Watch Chain
Belle Fleur
24 Karat Gold
All the Beautiful Worlds
The Dealer
She Loves Him Still
Blue Water
Lady
I Don't Care
Hard Advice
Carousel
Twisted
Cathouse Blues
Mabel Normand
If You Were My Love
The only song that I would have excluded is "Cathouse Blues" because it's such a different style of music. Maybe they should have added some scratchy vinyl/old phonograph sounds at the beginning to set it apart, kind of like what was done on Annie Lennox's "Keep Young and Beautiful (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfk8kLJMab0)" at the end of her Diva album.

Well, after initial depression upon hearing The Dealer as the first released single, I must say I love the album as a whole. It is one of the only Stevie solo works in which I do not skip many songs. It is partly because it has a good load of ballady-type things which showcase her singing and songwriting.
The only skippers to me on the regular disc are:
The Dealer. So dreary and deadening, it gives me a headache.
Belle Fleur: Sounds a lot like random chanting.
On the deluxe disc neither bonus track is worth it, to me. Twisted I already have in 2 other versions and this new one adds nothing. Watch Chain is totally uninteresting.
Faves:
If You Were My Love - for a hardcore Stevie ballad fan this is pure bliss. Slow, incoherent, tragic, weepy, all the good stuff. Lovely instrumental backgrounds too. A kind of BATB vibe.
She Still Loves Him - like IYWML, vintage Stevie sorrow and moaning set to beautiful backgrounds and delivered slow and delicious.
Blue Water - I actually like the way they did this compared to the demo. Singalong delight and the Lady Antebellum contribution is an asset. A kind of countrified slow tune with a massive hook.
All the Beautiful Worlds - she rips into the vocals here and the whole thing is so lush and pulls you in. An instant classic, to me.
24 Karat Gold - integrates vintage solo and FM elements. The repetitive nature of the lyrics and the hypnotic loop of instrumentals is genius. Another piece of ear candy.
Starshine - bopping fun with a serious Stevie edge. The final growl is worth the price of the entire album.
Mabel Normand - raging incoherent nonsense made to sound deadly serious by Stevie's intense vocal and the amazing arrangement and production. I mean, like, Holy ****, they took this and made it epic!
Lady - a bit over the top with its obsessive focus on the vocals, which are loud and blaring through a lot of the song, which is also too long by like a minute. I see what they were trying to do but maybe with a bit of pruning, toned down vocals, and an orchestra or something..... I don't know.
Hard Advice - OK. A bit banal and also one song in which the vocals seem a bit drab. An attempt at pop craftsmanship and poignancy that ends up a bit "yeah, OK, we get it" to me.
I Don't Care - for some reason the great vocal and the earnest big rock production here are just OK. It is certainly a strong effort, maybe just seems a bit out of place on this album of more honest work. This one sounds like they are all trying far to hard to imitate something else.
Carousel - OK, a cute duet with Vanessa. Not bad, not good. Pleasant and all around unimpressive.
Cathouse Blues - fun stuff. I love how she conveys the vampy jazzy vibe. A full redo of At Last would have been a much better choice in this genre but, well, OK. A little sweet but unsatisfying treat.

I feel like I've listened to this album enough times already so I can put these 6 songs in order now...
1. "24 Karat Gold" ~ THE BEST!!! Closest thing to a "Fleetwood Mac sounding" song she's ever done on a solo record. And the 70's witch vibe is mesmerizing! Best title track since "The Wild Heart".
2. "Watch Chain" ~ I don't think I've ever enjoyed singing along to a Stevie track in the last 15 years as much as I have with this little ditty! The lyrics are simple but sooooo freakin' catchy. I always have the biggest smile on my face driving in the car and harmonizing to that bridge. The electric guitars really get you going. I really don't understand the hate/indifference this song has gotten from some of you. You're all cray!
3. "All The Beautiful Worlds" ~ Because it TOTALLY sounds like it was recorded in 1983!!! Her vocal on this track is probably the best vocal on the entire record!
4. "If You Were My Love" ~ The overlapping acoustic guitars, the finely tuned mix of lyrics between the original piano demo and the various Mirage outtakes, the dark drums and electric guitars during the "crosses to bear" section and the emotional vocal. What else is there to say?
5. "Belle Fleur" ~ I love how extremely different this song turned out from both the original demo and "Bella Donna" outtake! The starts, stops, and unique rhythm within the verses really made all the difference with the lyrical interpretation, for me at least. It took a bland demo/outtake and made it extremely fun and groovy! And how 'bout that awesome intro/outro???
6. "Hard Advice" ~ Yes, it's one of those songs about two people...and yes, most of the time you can't figure out which one she's lamenting about at any given point, but as Christine McVie once said about Stevie's music, "Sometimes I didn't know what she was singing about but in her mind the words made complete sense. I often wondered what on Earth she was talking about...but then you didn't care because the words just sounded so good." This is one of those songs for me.:D

6. Mabel Normand: rocks with a good story/message.

5. Starshine: this is why she's known as the Queen of Rock and Roll
6. Mabel Normand: rocks with a good story/message.
Hard to believe Stevie didn't release some of these songs before but we got them now ! I hope we get to hear them on stage when Stevie tours solo again in the future. Cant wait to see everyone form a circle hand in hand and canyon dance !
She finally hit pay dirt. I want Songs from the Vault 2.
