Garbo, I'm sure you mean well, but DJ Paul has expressly requested that no links to his website be posted in this forum. Ignoring his wishes will result in no further Stevie/Mac related vinyl rips being made available for download.
If anyone feels the desire to visit his site, be sure to locate it for yourself and consider donating in order to ensure his excellent work continues.
Best regards, Phil

I have a copy of that vinyl in my collection somewhere.
I got it out of Goldmine Mag years ago.

Sweet - I have been hoping for this for a while, because of the extended mix of Rock A Little. I've got a few different copies, but always looking for a better one.

This is from DJPaulT's website. Was he really banned from The Ledge for asking that his links not be shared?

Hello guys I hope that everyone's weekend has went well. I just have a couple of reminders that I would like to share with all of you. While most of you adhere to the small bit of rules that I have in place on Burning The Ground there are a small few that do not. If you remember a while back I implemented the username and password and ask folks NOT to share links on other sites. During last weeks Stevie Nicks "I Can't Wait" post it camr to my attention that the files were being shared on a Stevie Nicks forum. I contacted that forum and asked that the links be removed and I was subsequently banned from that forum. So I have now been forced to make my Stevie Nicks post no longer available. This is what happens when a small few do not follow the rules. I apologize to those of you that do. If there are any questions about the rules please read the FAQ.

DJ Paul has never been a member of The Ledge. He said he was banned on a Stevie Nicks forum.

Phil already posted in this thread asking people not to share the links. Phil raised his concern and I told him to post that message to get the message across. But I also told him not to keep arguing with people about it. There's not going to be a back and forth about it on this board.

The timing of this thread, Phil's comment about DJPaulT's wishes, and then his own comments about the link being shared on a Stevie Nicks forum, all lead me to believe he was referring to The Ledge (which, while The Ledge isn't a "Stevie Nicks" forum, the link was shared in the Stevie sub-forum).

At any rate, I shouldn't have automatically assumed he was referring to The Ledge -- although sometimes I forget that there are other message boards besides this one, lol.

There's not going to be a back and forth about it on this board.

That's certainly fair enough.

DJ Paul has never contacted this forum and he's never been a member of it. Phil contacted it on his behalf. I told Phil that the links would not be removed, but that he could post the problem that DJ Paul was having with his site crashing on here and tell people not to share the link. He did that, but then when he felt his post was being ignored he also posted attacking the hypocrisy, demanding that the link be removed (knowing that he'd already been told it would not be) and insisting that the commercial material should not be shared. I'd already told him in PM that DJ mixes were not treated like commercial releases and would not be removed as commercial releases.

Phil was suspended for continuing to post on the subject. DJ Paul is not Phil, as far as I know.

These "DJ mixes" were released by the label commercially. So I'm not sure why they are not treated the same. They are in fact commercial releases. And no doubt Paul was talking about The Ledge. He was nice enough to get his point across without saying the name.

Awww! Phil was suspended? :(

That sucks! I really enjoyed Phil's posts and input. He's a good guy.

I know. It's unfortunate. There's another forum in the works that's less rigid and focuses on Facebook's "hide" feature for any troublesome activity (not at all saying Phil's activity was troublesome) rather than banning or censoring someone, which is the worst thing you could possibly do to anyone.

Frankly, I don't understand the issue DJPaulT has with the link to one particular 12" record being posted here, and it does seem to be an issue with only that one 12" single. The links to all the other Stevie and Fleetwood Mac 12" singles are still active but the UK 12" of I Can't Wait is nowhere to be found on his blog, and the link here is 404.

Even on his blog he has links to share Burning The Ground to Twitter and Facebook - where there is surely tens of thousands of times the exposure and hits he would get as opposed to a link being shared here.

I'm very grateful to have downloaded the UK I Can't Wait 12" before the page was removed, but it hardly makes any sense to me that a guy who advertises his needledrops on Facebook of all places, would take issue with them being shared here.
