I saw this posted on Stevie's board and liked the idea (thanks Artemis!). According to Itunes, what's your most listened to song from each album? Any surprises?
Me-
White Album- Landslide
Rumours- Never Going Back Again
Tusk-The Ledge
Live- Oh Well
Mirage- Gypsy
Tango- I don't have any songs off of it
Greatest Hits- Go Your Own Way
The Dance- Big Love
Say You Will- Thrown Down
Live in Boston- Eyes of the World
Extended Play- Sad Angel
Now granted, some of these albums (The Dance, LIB, SYW, Live, EP) I only have a handful of songs from. Others, like Mirage, Hold Me has more plays than Gypsy, but is on my GH album rather than Mirage. There are also songs on Mirage that I like better, but got into later, hence fewer plays. I think I'm most surprised by Live. I would have thought ISA would be my #1.
How about yours?
Don't know if iTunes, but my most listened songs by album are:
White album: Monday Morning
Rumours: Never Going Back Again
Tusk: Brown Eyes
Live: I'm So Afraid
Mirage: Book of Love
Tango in the Night: Big Love
The Dance: I'm So Afraid
The Very Best of: Paper Doll
Say You Will: What's the world coming to

I dont do ITunes . But on vinyl,cassette,8track,reel to reel,CD or MP3's.
I'll play the whole album through. After I repeat some songs in no special order .Hits or non hits.
That's close what I'd said in the Stevie forum too.

^Yes, I usually listen to whole albums at a time, as well. I force myself, because I don't want to wear out one song, so that I no longer care for it. With SYW I did play 3 songs more than the others, but I made myself stop doing that.

FM 1975 - Say You Love Me
Rumours - Never Going Back Again
Tusk - The Ledge
Live - Farmer's Daughter
Mirage - Love In Store
Tango - Little Lies
Behind the Mask - When the Sun Goes Down
The Dance - Bleed to Love Her
Say You Will - Bleed to Love Her

Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon (I suspect this is because I was learning the guitar part, and kept replaying it over and over to do so)
Rumours - Gold Dust Woman
Tusk - Storms
Live - Fireflies
Mirage - That's Alright
Tango In The Night - Seven Wonders
The Dance - Everywhere
Say You Will - Thrown Down
Extended Play - It Takes Time
However, my plays in general on iTunes are very low - like under 20 for everything on there. I usually listen to music in the car, and I usually listen to albums all the way through.

Interesting question. I didn’t answer at the time it was posted but I believe my options remain the same in the long run, maybe with slight variations depending on the season :) . I don’t know if my iPod Touch have those statistics (yeah, I still use it) but my most played songs per album should be:
White Album- World Turning
Rumours- The Chain
Tusk-Sara
Live- One More Night
Mirage- Gypsy
Tango- Everywhere
Greatest Hits- As Long As You Follow
The Dance- Don’t Stop
Say You Will- Thrown Down
Live in Boston- Stand Back
Extended Play- I almost never listen to it, nor do I remember any title
If I included BTM: Do You Know
And BuckVie: None. I mean I don't have a favorite, but I usually listen to the whole album, although not very often. Same as Time, but just the Christine's songs.

This would be an impossible thread for me because I think many would be drawn to their favorite song. If I dig out a CD I am not going to play Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Gypsy, etc. I would play the deep cuts that you dont hear on the radio. Dreams and Rhiannon are on the radio every day. I would not put in a CD to listen to them. I would play Sugar Daddy, Warm Ways, Never Forget Tonight, Only Over You, etc. I play greatest hits for No Questions Asked and not Everywhere.

You and me both! so much is overplayed on the radio, if i never heard Dreams again it would be too soon. Some albums i really never listen to like Mirage, Tango... aside from a few songs, they just never did it for me. Off The Dance, I play Temporary One the most. watta rockin song lol

That completely makes sense and I would agree 100%, but since I'm that martian who hasn't listened to radio since 2008 , except when I'm at a friend's house or car, or for some other specific reason (in fact, I can't remember the last time I did), this game sounded perfect for me. And made me possible to choose Gypsy.
I found this thread fun. And yes, sometimes I choose songs, but what I do most is listening to entire albums, and just skip some song I don't like that much, like Caroline or Only Over You. Or I also have separate playlists of all the songs of Lindsey, Stevie, and Christine, and I choose one and listen to it in random order.

Here is the fun part. When was the last time any of you put in a CD or album and listened to it straight through. With digital sales today people don't do what we all used to do. We would buy an album and put it on the turn table and listen to it all while reading the album sleeve. You pick up the vibe from the album. I pretend I am in the band and listening back to all of our work and questioning how it sounds. If I have a big project in my house I put on Tusk. I also like to pretend that I am listening for the first time. The vintage albums are the best for this. Heroes Are Hard To Find has the oddest vibe that is rather cool. Its almost like a duo album with Chris and Bob being vocalists. Its the most underrated album in their catalog.

Yes, I’m with you. I still listen to my albums\CDs straight through. If it’s not on a pod for the car or a walk I listen to it all the way through.I can’t pick a track from each release but looking at the selections that have been picked by the you all just reinforces the amazing catalog this band has. It also makes me appreciate the release of Behind The Mask, Time, Say You Will and BuckMcVie even more.
