I love the cover. I also like the single cover. She is not trying to hide her face at this age.

I am very happy with the album cover. I think it's very well done and captures Stevie's essence. I really like how the titles are placed, and the fact that 24K gold is set apart from Songs from the Vault. That looks to be Stevie's handwriting which is a nice touch. I can't tell if this is a new pic or taken in the past 10 or 15 years.
The single cover is odd - I love it because I love all things Rock a Little but she's definitely looked better. The hair is fab and I like the intense look. So yeah, I guess I like them both.

To me, these images don't look current - more like mid-eighties (The clothes and hair give it away. ). Pictures from the vault.

To me, these images look to be years old, as far back as 1985. They don't look current; more like pictures from the vault.
I think they r current. Her nose looks big on proportion to other features. That is a age thing.
Photoshop does wonders.

I definitely think these look wayyyyyy too much like the RAL era selfies to be current. Photoshop does wonders, but even her face shape has changed with age. These are very 80s Stevie.

Yes, her face in the album cover photo looks like her face on Rock a Little. I can't really place The Dealer, but definitely older. Sanne can probably tell when by Stevie's hair.

The hair is a good time-stamped reference. Big , wild eighties-style. It's been a long time since we've seen hair like this. A close look at the style of her clothes - big and baggy - also dates the photo.

Yep. The Dealer definitely looks to be from the time between Wild Heart and RAL. I'm thinking that the album cover could be in the photos taken over her from around the Trouble in Shangri-La era though. Not that I have anything to base that off of-but something about her eyes or eye make up reminds me:shrug: of TISL era photos...

Love the album cover! The handwriting is a nice touch and songs from the vault is separated. This might be her best cover yet. The single cover is a little weird but ok.
The 1:30 part of the song sounds fantastic! Something tells me this album will be as good as Bella Donna and wild heart!!

The Dealer pic is full on Rock a Little...the eye make up and hair are the deciding factors. She also had the same somewhat hard, lifeless expression in many pics from that era.

Nope. That *for certain* is an old RAL era photo. You can tell by her gaunt appearance and the dark RAL tour eye makeup.
All of these photos are likely to be in the photobook CD, and are most likely Stevie's own Polaroid selfies.

Yes, but why would they? Why would Stevie get dressed up in old outfits, and old hairstyles, and old makeup styles, and have a photoshoot, and then have the photos edited to make herself look younger when it would be far simpler - and free - to just use old photos? Especially when a 40 page book of those very same old photos is coming with the deluxe version of the CD, and the old Polaroids are mentioned in virtually every promo blurb for the album?
It just doesn't make sense to spend the money recreating vintage photos when using actual vintage photos is an option.

I'm sorry, but there's honestly nothing about that photo (or any of the others) that looks "new", everything screams Rock A Little. My guess is that all the photos that are used for promo will be featured in the photobook and are from her own personal archives (the so called "selfies") and probably Herbert Worthington's archive.

Those photos don't look that hard to recreate. Judging from the cover she had very good graphic designers. Why would she because it's brand new album.

Stevie may look great for her age, but there is just no way the photos on the album cover or the single are any younger than the 80s. She looks great in those picture because they were taken 30 years ago, not because of photoshop or lighting.

Exactly, it's like Crystal Visions where she used old photos and lets not forget the photo for the IYD doc cover was from a litho that came with the Soundstage dvd in 2009. She's not doing a new photoshoot when it's not necessary and I think she won't do one to promote 24K, and why should she, there are plenty of fabulous old pics to use.

I think the photos are old ones, Stevie is a beautiful woman who has aged well. But her mouth is different these days. Like most 65+ she no longer has that pout. And if she has the original pics why bother.

I can't believe there are fans who think these are current photos  W.E. Anyway I think it's hilarious that Stevie was way ahead of the general public by like 30 years when it came to the whole "selfie" thing she was into in the 80's. At that time, I don't remember anyone taking any pics of themselves, nevermind multiple..period...does anyone else? I don't know if that's a good thing our kind of sad given our current self-absorbed culture.:laugh::laugh:

It just doesn't make sense to spend the money recreating vintage photos when using actual vintage photos is an option. I totally agree with what you've said. Old photos /Polaroids used from the 80's. To me you can really see it in her face on the cover and the old outfit & make up. There's no doubt in my mind that these are older pictures not current ones. Plus with the deluxe booklet why couldn't they have just made it a 50 page booklet instead of 48 pages? Its only 2 pages from 50 , would 2 more pictures have been hard to add. It would've been nice. I do wonder what the poster for the LP will be besides the LPC, I wonder if they do a multi picture poster. That would be really really nice to have.:D

Seriously, this woman is from a group that used the same four giant heads for Unleashed that they used for SYW in 2003. Given an excuse to use vintage photos, of course she's going to jump on it.

The Dealer cover pic, I have an alternate of and have had for easy 10 years now, and it's an original faded with age, so that right there tells me it's an old version. I was pretty confident about it being RAL era, but still on fence about that. As for cover pic, I thought it COULD be a current pic, but Stevie is really packaging the nostalgia we know, want and love, so I think to give that feel all photos would be vintage. There are plenty of new pics to be had (coughcough HELLO FM-more for this tour vs. photoshopped SYW era please) with the FM gigs. 24 Karat Gold (imo) is all about the throwback.
