Molly
Mick's kids ... all of them or just the twins?
Mary's kids ... all of them of just Maryelle?

?????

Vanessa Carlton is pregnant. So, Stevie is up for the godmother role again.

She was godmother to Robin's son too. I'm sure she has loads of godsons, she just doesn't talk about them. She probably thinks little boys are yucky.

She's named MANY MANY goddaughters before, even Lindsey's girls during one Landslide dedication, I believe. (which amuses me because she once made a big deal out of saying she WASN'T Leelee's godmother but INSISTED on being part of her life and that she felt like she was hers too, lol). Regarding icky little boys...

-

PLAYBOY: Do you want to marry eventually and have a family?

NICKS: If I had a family, I’d probably love it. Right now, I have my dog Sarah, two cats and a baby Doberman. But I wish I had a little girl. Even a little boy. Getting married would, of course, depend on the man; also on whether I cared enough. If I fell that deeply in love with someone, I’d have no idea of what to do. But I’d be willing to make whatever compromises were necessary.

PLAYBOY: What compromises?

NICKS: My interest in the music and everything else would have to drop off a little bit. But I don’t fall in love that often, because it’s sad when you fall in love and it doesn’t work out. I know it’s better to have loved, because otherwise I wouldn’t have anything to write about. And there are different kinds of love. But if it were the big love, I’d drop everything. I’d still have my job, of course, but I’d get in my car and drive across town in the middle of the night ~ which I will not do under other circumstances, because I don’t have a license. I’d go crazy, I suppose. It’s probably the most wonderful feeling in the world.

She wished for a girl. But EVEN a boy would have been alright, lol.

Some boys are okay, though. The best compliment Stevie can give Lindsey at a given time is that he reminds her of the boy she fell in love with. She likes using them for comparisons too. Rebel!Lindsey cutting his hair off Tusk era was horrific, apparently, like her little boy cut his hair.

I fairly recently (last couple years) remember reading of a Godson who passed away as a result of an OD.

"Yucky"?? Do you assume Stevie thinks and speaks like a 10 year old girl?

Sometimes she does. "It hurts my everything" is an example of that. However, no matter how Stevie thinks or speaks, I chose to express it that way to evoke the logic of playground youth.

That was Glen Parrish's son.

Also, did she become godmother to Hillary Scott's baby?

I don't think so, but Hillary talked about the presents that Stevie gave her. Michele

I remember an interview that Hillary gave shortly after meeting Stevie where she said, "I said to my husband, 'I think I want her to be the baby's godmother, and I'm only half kidding.' "

So, I think you are probably right, and Hillary was just expressing how quickly she became so fond of Stevie so soon after meeting her, but you never know......

I thought a godmother was supposed to be someone who could take care of the child should something happen to the parents?Financially, yes Stevie.Physically and emotionally,so NOT Stevie. She couldn't even give up her time or career to have her own children.I can't believe she doesn't question peoples motives for choosing her for godmom IMHO.:sorry:

Very rarely do godparents actually assume the responsibility of raising a child if the parents have died. That typically falls to the closest blood-relatives -- grandparents, aunts and/or uncles, and so on. Godparents are usually chosen as more of a "spiritual adviser," with the intention that they'll help guide the child.

she doesn't HAVE to say yes to everyone who says ... Hey Stevie, I got a kid I need you to be godmother to!

I think she'd prob be very good at spiritual "guidance" and advice in general
she's lived a long, crazy life and she's known these young ladies since they were babies.
i bet she gives great Christmas presents

At one concert when she was dedicating Landslide she said a cousin of hers had asked if she would take care of the children if something happened and she said she thought about it was telling the cousin yes. So, the dedication was her way of announcing that yes she was agreeing to take care of the children if something happened to their mother.

I got a chuckle out of that.

I think Stevie would make a great spiritual advisor and "guidance counselor" if she would only find the TIME to do those things. She obviously loves to give advice by sharing her stories of woe and hardship to prevent people(that she doesn't even know)from making the same mistakes she has.At this stage of the game I think that in the next five years or so things will start to wind down and she will have alot more time to offer so I think Vanessa's kid will have the best chance to benefit. The other godchildren will be grown by then(if they're not already).I just fear that people have an ulterior motive(cha-ching).;)
