Greatest Hits Volume 2

[tomv]

Since apparently there will not be a new album before the tour, just for fun I came up with a possible companion to the original Greatest Hits CD that could be released this year. I left room for two new songs at the end.

1. Save Me
2. Landslide
3. Second Hand News
4. Think About Me
5. Gold Dust Woman
6. Love In Store
7. Seven Wonders
8. Say You Will
9. Peacemaker
10. Sad Angel
11. Oh Well (live, from 1975 tour)
12. Monday Morning
13. Silver Springs
14. Never Going Back Again
15. The Chain
16. Songbird
17. New
18. New

[KenB]

Confining it to songs that were actually released as a single in some form, and adding NGBA because it's been popularized by the bank commercial and The Chain because it's sort of the quintessential Mac song:

1. Sad Angel
2. Think About Me
3. Landslide
4. Save Me
5. Never Going Back Again
6. Love in Store
7. Seven Wonders
8. Peacekeeper
9. Say You Will
10. Skies the Limit
11. Silver Springs
12. Family Man
13. Sisters of the Moon
14. Isn't It Midnight
15. The Chain

[Villavic]

I think it would be the greatest mistake if they release a GH2 or a All the best.
Personally I'd like the Mirage or Tango deluxe.

But to follow the game, I'd like a Greatest live versions cd. GDH, World turning, So afraid, STORMS, Songbird, Tusk, Sisters, YMLF, etc.

It'd be nice to get a new Greatest Hits set of some kind, I think, with at least 3 new songs. One from each of the writers. So I've designed a new "Very Best Of" with the hope that the Mirage and Tango tracks be remastered.

Disc 1
The Chain
Dreams
Landslide
You Make Loving Fun
Seven Wonders
Never Going Back Again
Gypsy
Tusk
Eyes of the World (live in Boston)
Silver Springs (the Dance)
Bleed to Love Her
World Turning
Gold Dust Woman
Peacekeeper
Isn't It Midnight
Thrown Down
New Song

Disc 2
New Song
Everywhere
Sara
Go Your Own Way
Hold Me
Little Lies
Say You Will
Don't Stop
I'm So Afraid (The Dance)
Songbird
Rhiannon
Big Love
Say You Love Me
Sad Angel
Over My Head
Beautiful Child
New Song

A deluxe or remastered Mirage and Tango would be WAY more exciting than anything else the band could do this year, short of a new album.

1. Save Me
2. Landslide
3. Second Hand News
4. Think About Me
5. Gold Dust Woman
6. Love In Store
7. Seven Wonders
8. Say You Will
9. Peacemaker
10. Sad Angel
11. Oh Well (live, from 1975 tour)
12. Monday Morning
13. Silver Springs
14. Never Going Back Again
15. The Chain
16. Songbird
17. New
18. New

I like this set. A tad light on Lindsey, but adding World Turning, I'm So Afraid (live) and Christine's Isn't It Midnight would be awesome.

[Macfanforever]

I would love to have another greatest hits CD along with the Mac videos like Stevie's collection but as all of us are saying "Are we going to get new tunes".

Thats the burning question.

THIS. Definitely.

Anyway, after I read this for the first time I said "A red cover!!!", so I did it (I tried my best :sorry:)

But, reading your posts I don't know if this would be a new version of the '88 Greatest Hits, or a 2CD compilation.
So here I go:

DISC 1 (If it's a Single CD or "The greatest of the greatest")
- The Chain
- Dreams
- Don't Stop
- Go your own way
- Rhiannon
- Say you love me
- Gypsy
- Big Love
- You make loving fun
- Sara
- Monday Morning
- Over My Head
- Landslide
- Never going back again
- Silver Springs
- As long as you follow
- Steal Your Heart Away (only because Chris is on it)
- Something new

DISC 2 (If there's a second disc!)
- Second Hand News
- Seven Wonders
- Little Lies
- What Makes You Think You're The One
- Angel
- Family Man
- Hold Me
- Gold Dust Woman
- I'm So Afraid (The Dance)
- Everywhere
- Peacekeeper
- Sisters of the Moon
- Brown Eyes
- Tusk
- Oh Diane or Bleed to love Her
- Say Goodbye (live)
- Something new
- Something new

I tried to be realistic, but I really don't see songs the Tusk songs (except for Sara and Tusk), Oh Diane or BTLH on a Greatest Hits!!

I love the Red cover!

[Steviegirl]

I would really love a box set of LIVE full shows. Or even something like FM Live but for each separate tour. I know that FM Live is out there, and some live shows on the last release of Rumours, but I think a set of all the concerts---maybe starting with Mirage - The Dance--or Mirage - "On With the Show" would be good.

[McLamb]

Picking up where the 1988 (U.S. version) album left off...

01. Think About Me from Tusk
02. Landslide from Fleetwood Mac
03. Oh Diane from Mirage
04. Save Me from Behind The Mask
05. Sisters Of The Moon from Tusk
06. Warm Ways from Fleetwood Mac
07. Fireflies from Live
08. I Do from Time
09. The Chain from Rumours
10. Say You Will from Say You Will
11. Love In Store from Mirage
12. Silver Springs b-side of "Go Your Own Way"
13. Isn't It Midnight from Tango In The Night
14. Paper Doll from 25 Years -- The Chain
15. Peacekeeper from Say You Will
16. Seven Wonders from Tango In The Night
17. Skies The Limit from Behind The Mask

This would be an awesome collection! I think some real thought went into this, what with the inclusion of some album tracks and the killer live version of Eyes Of The World - those drums!
