I love the song "sleeping angel" I'm not sure if it was on Bella Donna but it was on the Fast Times at Ridgemont High soundtrack.

I always thought that song would be better if Fleetwood Mac did it, Lindsey on guitar and Christine on keyboard. It would have sounded nice on Mirage.

I love Moonlight and I don't wish it was an FM song, but part of me wishes I could know what FM would do with it.

I mean, Moonlight already has an eerie quality (Strange ...) but what would it be like if John's bass was pulsing through it? If FM brought the same approach to Moonlight that they did to Rhiannon?

I think about that, but really Moonlight is great just the way it is.

The only song that immediately comes to mind is Crystal. It has always irked the hell out of me that the song was written by Stevie, but sung by Lindsey on both Buckingham Nicks and the white Fleetwood Mac album. When Stevie finally recorded her own solo version of the song for the Practical Magic soundtrack, it was a revelation for me. That song should have been sung by Stevie from the start.

Other than that, I can't really look at Stevie's solo vs Mac songs terribly objectively anymore. I've just known them for what they are for too long. Plus, we now know that the Mac doesn't necessarily make Stevie's songs better. Watching the Destiny Rules documentary, Stevie's early solo demo of Silver Girl is vastly better than what emerged on Say You Will.

How about Bombay Sapphires? I love that song, but lets face it, Macy did lousy harmony - but I could totally hear Lindsey claim it.

In truth... every one of them.

Not that I don't love her solo songs. But if they all could have been recorded with FM between 1975 and 1982, you know, I wouldn't complain.

If You Ever Did Believe would have been great with Lindsey, Christine, John and Mick.

Miss You
Kick It
I Sing for the Things
Juliet- I would have loved to hear it on Tango in the Night.
Twisted-This would have been great as an FM tune.

I could go on, but these are my top.

I Sing for the Things is a good one to imagine Lindsey tackling. Any of Stevie's clunkers I feel Lindsey could have saved with a different take on arrangement.

Surprised no one's mentioned this yet but I'll toss it into the ring; Planets (with a full band, obviously)

I've always thought "Outside The Rain" would sound great with Christine and Lindsey's harmonies, but off the top of my head, that's about it.

I would love to hear Lindsey play the guitar for "Kick It" and Stevie, Christine and Linds harmonize for chorus of the song. I just love the Waddy guitar on this song. Just wondering how a Lindsey guitar would sound. Also, "Blue Denim," "Outside the Rain," "Thousand Days," "Kind of Woman," and "Rock & Roll." Love to see them all Rock & Roll to that one.

Really? You don't like Thousand Days the way it is? I like it with the bluesy sax. I couldn't imagine it changed to Lindsey rock.

I wish all of Stevie's solo songs had been recorded with the rich, creative production of FM rather than the clunkiness that mars a lot of it solo.

The reference was to Lindsey's guitar to "Kick It." Sorry if you misunderstood my post. Have to be more clear next time, no?;)

I can hear this, but I think there's a certain ambiance to Bella Donna that they don't fit into. I'll just imagine that there's a demo of this, not a final cut.

I think Battle of the Dragon could have been even more epic if Mr. Buckingham was involved.

It should have been on Bella Donna just on context alone because it's all about her relationship with Paul Fishkin (one of the more handsome guys she's dated) and going out on a limb to start her solo career.

My favorite part of the song is when the piano section of "Lady from the Mountain" becomes part of the chorus at the end of the song. It's the perfect union.
