Kristen Stewart.....I've seen her act in movies and I could see her playing a very young stevie during the buckinghan nicks era in the early 70's.

maybe.
but that girl can not act.
At All.
Stevie Nicks is a better actress actually, and that is not saying much.
Am I right? or am I right?

Hate her mannerisms. Just not into her acting. I think there are lot of other actress's that could do it better. If we ever see a Stevie/FM movie. LOL

Yes, Kristen Stewart was discussed as a candidate to play Stevie at the end of this thread too. I think Kristen Stewart can act but does not have a lot of range. She might be able to play Klonopin Stevie, but I don't think she could capture the rest of her personality. Kristen is kind of distant -- which makes her very good at playing a cool-headed (or just cool), detached teen or young person, but she doesn't seem capable of great passion and excitement. Michele

I didn't like her acting in Twilight. But I thought she was superb in Snow White

Lily Rabe from the Coven might be a good "early Stevie". Stevie will be on the Coven soon (anyone know when -- they said after the holidays), and Lily Rabe's character is obsessed with Stevie (rightfully so....lol) and has that kind of "look", I think. Just an idea....

Kristen Stewart.....

No thanks. It's not enough just to look a little like Stevie... she has to be a good actress, and Stewart doesn't really fit that bill.

Kristen doesn't look a little like Stevie to me. But if she was cast in the role, Stevie fans would never stop complaining.
On the upside, Kristen fans would start learning about Stevie and it might increase Stevie's audience. But J-Law could bring the same results and she's a better actress. So, maybe Stevie should start sending her cards and necklaces. Get a Katniss tattoo.

I don't know....she could do vacant-stared Klonopin Stevie circa 1991 pretty well when she's older.
In all seriousness, I don't have anything against her, but I'm not sure she's a good choice. Though in time, who knows?
I don't have any idea who I would pick, as far as current actresses are concerned. Hopefully someone who knows Stevie's music, like, obsessively, and who also can actually sing in the same style.

She really could do that era Stevie well. And I don't say that because I think she's a bad actress. I actually think she is a GOOD actress when it comes to being removed and detached. But she couldn't really handle any other aspects of Stevie's personality.

Kristen Stewart already played Joan Jett in The Runaways movie; there is no way that she's going to play Stevie and by the way she did a great job is Joan Jett

Oh defnitely not. I just meant that it's not enough for any actress to look "just a little like" Stevie. I don't think that cuts the mustard. However that being said, look at Charlize Theron... widely accepted as a beautiful woman, and she transformed herself perfectly into Aileen Wuornos. Someone out there who doesn't look like Stevie is capable of doing the same I'd wager.

Sure. I don't think it's important that they look like Stevie at all. I mean, I wouldn't have cared how Reese Witherspoon looked, if she'd acted at ALL like June Carter Cash.
But then again, maybe I'm the wrong person to judge, since she won an Oscar and everything. Never mind.
Michele
My vote is for Dakota Fanning. She's a great actress and stinking adorable IMO. She's only 19...she won't be to old to play Stevie when the time comes. Reese can play Barbara.

I love to see Sissy Spacek play the current Stevie.Sissy hit the nail on top of the head when she played Loretta Lynn in the Coal Miners Daughter.
Sissy can play anybody.

[from an interview with Shailene Woodley]
WNYC, Friday, March 21, 2014 National Public Radio By Neda Ulaby
http://www.wnyc.org/story/from-action-hero-to-teenage-nerd-shailene-woodley-has-range/
Woodley often comes across like an enthusiastic senior at Earlham or Evergreen State College in her passions for indigenous culture, herbalism and sustainable farming. That impression is only strengthened when she's asked what character she'd most like to play.
"Stevie Nicks," she responds immediately. "She's my dream. My dream! My dream!"
She could do worse than look to someone like Nicks — someone who found success by subverting the expectations of the traditional ingénue and playing more or less on her own idiosyncratic terms.

No, no. Kristen Stewart is tiny enough - but do any of you watch Nickelodeon or have a child or sibling that watches it? Have you seen commercials for DeGrassi High? They are currently running commercials that shows a teenaged actress with long blonde hair in a top hat that looks EXACTLY like a young Stevie. She would be perfect. If you'd like to see her, I'll see if I can post a picture of her.

Funny that she's actually wearing a top hat too.

I know! It was weird to see that because it made me stop in my tracks and freak out a little. I wonder if that's what the producers were thinking too when they picked that clip for the commercial.
