Metro/ Smart Bar in Chicago

Has anyone ever been to the Metro/Smart Bar Venue in Chicago that is located in Wrigleyville? I am thinkingof going to a concert in Jan to see Patty Griffin but was wondering what this venue is like? I was also considering the Madison and Milwaukee shows but I am not familliar with the Wisconsin area. Any help is greatly appreciated.
