Buckingham Nicks cover - 2013

[CADreaming]

Why don't some of you talented computer people
take your best Photoshop skills and update what
the Buckingham Nicks cover would look like if it
were taken this year.

Please create a new thread for this. It might be
fun.

You had to go there... ;)

I thought they meant what it would look like if Stevie and Lindsey posed for the picture now.

They did. I just saw that on Twitter and thought it was funny.

It is funny.

I saw a while back some middle aged people who had clearly intentionally replicated the BN cover photo.. it was also pretty hilarious and looked professionally done. I need to see if I can find that.

someone also gifted in photoshop ... or whatever it is ... needs to swap lindsey's and stevie's faces in that album cover. people do it all over tumblr

[iamnotafraid]

What a trip.

We need to expand this from just Photoshop
and strangers to members of The Ledge.

It could get scary.

[michelej1]

Obviously, Stevie is not going to show her torso in 2013 and most people don't want to look at Lindsey's graying chest, but with a bit of modification, those two could actually still manage to do an attractive recreation of their BN cover, even in their sixties.

Or Stevie's sagging "chest".

(yes, it's a joke people)

You know, I was just thinking that this shot, with the way she's leaning on him from behind and they're both staring zombie-eyed into the camera, actually harkens back to the BN shoot a bit.

http://i.imgur.com/tKwx5kr.png

I wonder what happened to the rest of the photos from that "crazy" shoot Stevie said they did. We only ever got the one or two they edited up for the posters.

[michelej1]

I was bored.

That's great. Although, it's true that Lindsey's short hair doesn't go as well with the nudity.

Print that out and paste it over your Buckingham Nicks
album, and just see if you can get Lindsey or Stevie to
sign that (in concert).

Unfortunately, they're not coming my way again.

Someone else is welcome to try though

I wish they would. I wonder what would Lindsey
and Stevie's reaction be? If it were Stevie alone,
I don't think she'd like it. But I can see Lindsey
laughing at it (and themselves). So if they were
up there together she might crack a smile too.

I would pay to see that on YouTube.

That is the funniest thing I've ever seen!!

[Steviegirl]

BN Self portrait.

Best. Thing. Ever.

[michelej1]

You know, the man in the photo really reminds me of Nick Offerman.

Speaking of which, his own wife Megan Mullally would be fantastic posing with him in a BN mock up.

I had the same thought!

You know, they did satirically pose nude together once already. I'm sure they'd do it again.

[Blog Article on Erotic album covers mentions BN]

Misfit Wisdom, March 10, 2014 [click for photos]

http://misfit120.wordpress.com/2014/03/10/gawd-i-miss-those-erotic-lp-covers/

"Buckingham Nicks” was actually Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham which later became “Fleetwood Mac,” at which point they became a huge success and were able to buy clothes for their blockbuster album “Rumors,” but if you observe that album cover you’ll see that their clothes were bought at a local “Goodwill Store.”

Caption: “Lindsey….I’m freezing my butt off here.” “Chill out Stevie. One more sec then you can “Go Your Own Way.”

Dear people this is so funny!!!! Create a new cover of BN is really a challenge!
Thanks for the pictures, hahaha! :D
It's sad if I say that the picture of BN taken for the 2013 promo EP & tour IS a new version of the old cover. Obviously I'm waiting for something real, but the WildHearted work is really pretty close to what many of us are thinking!
Regards!
