When I saw this on tumblr as audio, I thought she had covered the song, and got really excited. I missed hearing her speak at length like that. Perfect radio voice.

Yeah, her voice sounds really strong.
I wish she would do a radio show takeover when she releases the new album. Her voice is perfect for it.

What are you looking at? Go through the other thread (about Christine working on a new album) and they have posted daily links. If you click on the show, then she begins talking right away. It's about 2 minutes long each day. She picks 2 new songs each day.

loved listening to these, especially the last 2. she sounds great and young!
so when she's asked "perhaps another solo album" she says yeah maybe. are there some places where she definitely said that new songs she's working on are planned for a solo album? because she's also talking about harmonies...

This leads me to believe she's weighing her options.

Whatever option she chose, we are going to get something out of it, and that alone is a huge step.

If Mick is involved, it means there's going to be an "organic" happening.

I wonder if she's in a relationship. That might make a 70 year old woman feel like she's in her 30s. And her romantic relationships have always driven her musical creativity. Even 'In the Meantime' was inspired by a break-up.

I kind of laughed when she mentioned Curry and how they listened to the album together.

Yeah, she looks really fit and trim, which is remarkable given her love for cooking. Though apart from walking the dogs, I don't know what else she does.

Look how good John looks in that photo too!
He's lost a bit of weight and looks awesome.
Chris, obviously, looks amazing.
I think she's had some good therapy but I don't know about a relationship. She made a comment about feeling lonely lately, in Kent, and I think she wouldn't say that if she had a man. That said, on Tracks of My Years she mentioned going to see professional tennis with Justin Hayward and his wife, so she must see some people other than the family...

I think the therapy also made her realize how the solitary life ain't what it cut out to be, hence the loneliness.

[Excerpt from an interview with Tony Hadley]
http://au.news.yahoo.com/entertainment/a/19515216/tony-hadley-sings-spandau-hits-down-under/
Hadley credits his musical longevity to giving up smoking 15 years ago and the fact that he never stopped singing.
"I think the fact is I do it all the time. There was an interview with Christine McVie from Fleetwood Mac the other day and she said she's basically retired and hasn't sung for years.
"She said that was the most difficult aspect of getting back into song-writing - it's like any muscle: you have to retrain it again."

tony hadley of spandau ballet?? now that's a singer with a voice range! glad to hear he's still singing.

‘We always thought he was a genius’: Christine McVie is still awestruck by Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green
by Something Else! November 5, 2013
Christine McVie, a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1970-98, came in with a healthy appreciation for the group in its original blues-focused Peter Green-led incarnation. In fact, she could have almost been described as a groupie.
McVie, then Christine Perfect, was part of an precursor band called Chicken Shack that actually opened for Fleetwood Mac — giving her an early glimpse at his genius. Before long, she and bandmate Andy Silvester were going to shows to watch Green, whether Chicken Shack was on the bill or not.
“We were actually huge, huge fans,” she tells BBC Radio 2′s Ken Bruce. “We used to just trail around them, whatever pub they were playing in.” McVie describes her reaction to Green as being “awestruck. Everybody was awestruck by Peter. Except for [fellow late-1960s blues legend] Eric [Clapton], there was only Peter. To me really, these days, it’s still the case. We always thought he was superlative, a genius.”
Her appreciation for Green coalesced around a non-album single called “Man of the World,” this darkly emotional track that seems to explore his own sense of unfulfillment despite having reached such epic creative heights with the early Fleetwood Mac.
“Man of the World” was released in April of 1969, not long before the mercurial Green’s departure. 1970′s Kiln House would be Fleetwood Mac’s first without Green, and their first to feature McVie. Still, McVie — who would join Green in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame upon the band’s 1998 induction — never quite got over “Man of the World.”
