Does Stevie smoke now?I remember in several interviews a few years back she was really advocating the "quit smoking" thing and "if I can do it,you can do it" thing.But lately she hasn't mentioned it at all.Not judging,just a thought....Alot of people quit but staying quit is the hard part.

I don't see any reason to assume that Stevie's started smoking again. In this age of camera-phones I'm sure we'd have a shot of her with a ciggy somewhere by now. More likely she's stopped mentioning it because there's only so much you can talk about it. :shrug:

Well long story short (or short story long as Stevie would say), yes she supposedly quit being a constant 3 pks a day chainsmoker in 98. But it's safe to say she's casually smoked a cig or two a few times since. For example, during SYW tour, multiple people saw her smoking something during sound checks. I say 'something' because it's pretty accepted IMO that she's continued smoking pot up until at the very least, SYW era. Possibly even later, I could see it helping her out since it doubles as a bronchial dilator and could help with her arthritis and joint pain. I think this because she has always said "I gave up HARD drugs", which means to me that she doesn't do the blow or the prescription pills she used to abuse, but still does soft drugs (ie marijuana). Also if you slow down the sped up part of Destiny Rules where they're in Needleman's studio and Miranda is playing over it, you see Lindsey pull out a glass pipe and pack it and he and Stevie take turns taking hits. It also appears she's blazing it with a barbecue grill lighter lol.

Oh, I'm quite sure Stevie, along with basically every other recording artist I've ever heard of, dabbles in pot from time to time. That seems like a very safe assumption indeed.

I've always felt for myself that to even have one cigarette would start me again, kind of like how an alcoholic can't have just one drink. I can smoke, um, er, 'something else' and not have that effect me though. :thumbsup:

I quit sixteen years ago this next february but I could never smoke much more than one pack in a day. I hope Stevie stays away from them things. Reminds me of the 'I'm So Tired' song by The Beatles where Lennon rants about Walter Raleigh in it! :lol:

It's hard to catch and I had to have a friend do it for me. She zoomed in on it too once we slowed it down to just the right pace (sidenote: Miranda slowed down to half speed is one of the most awful things you will ever hear :laugh: ) I gif'd a little part of it where you see her lift something to her mouth (obviouskly the pipe :rolleyes:) and hold out what can only be a barbeque lighter (since its so long) to light it. Seeing Lindsey hit it (multiple times ;) ) is much easier to catch than when it's Stevie's turn. You kind of see him pull out the pipe from like behind the couch or something and pack it and take hits multiple times. Stevie and Lindsey are passing like a piece of paper back and forth too, and Stevie is pushing her dog in his face at one point. And at some point Karen brings out soup :lol:

It's kind of shame that singers smoke at all, considering all the damage it does to the vocal cords.

You are welcome! As cadreaming wrote...that old thread was a fun one. I would never pick up details like the Ledgies do! Offhand I cannot recall other clips but others may-this band never fails to entertain us!
