So I recently sent a letter to Stevie through the Nicks Fix address, and I was wondering if anyone has gotten a response back from Stevie herself? Has anyone written in recent years and had any luck?

I sent Stevie an Indian/Balinese style box that I picked up from an antique store in Chicago in 2006. I paid almost $300 for it. A few weeks later I received a typed response (probably from Karen):

"Jared -

Thank you so much for the beautiful box ~ and beautiful words. I will treasure both always.

Stevie Nicks"

It was typed, no signature or anything.

Meh.

This may or may not have something to do with the fact that "genuine" signatures of singers, actors etc are sold on places like ebay all the time, which is sad because if I was lucky enough to obtain "her" signature I would never part with it. "Not for all the tea in China"!!:].

I agree with that. Stevie signed my Street Angel program in 1994 and its framed and hung up on my family room wall.

Personally, I think she should've signed the card. I think I would've been really hurt after what I'd sent her and she 'personally' couldn't or wouldn't sign a card to me. I never have tried to mail a letter or nothing (not to any music or TV star) ever. I really never ever thought about it. Plus you hear about auto pen's too or someone else will 'sign' for them. Its sad because the sig means so much to someone that love's there music or show. Anyway, all I'm saying is it would've like taken one moment out of her time to do it. I'd be deeply sadden if it was me. That's my opinion or how I feel about it.:nod:

I agree with this.
If I had sent her something worth afew hundred pounds and she was worried about me possibly selling her signature on.. so she didn't sign her note to me, I'd be pretty hurt too.

You're giving Karen a lot of credit in capabilities. (typing, folding, stuffing in envelope, adding stamp, mailing)
LMAO
:sorry:
I'd be SO livid. Just not cool. I mean I guess you'd not want to add how much you paid for it-seems gauche, but at same time, thought and heart and hard earned dollars went into a lovely gift, and that's the reply??
"Meh" indeed.

Wow, I completely agree. I would be quite upset. Honestly if she had enough time tell Karen to send a thank you note, she had enough time to write one herself.

It's a shame that she rarely signs anymore because she is afraid of someone selling her signature. I have a autographed Soundstage Sessions (a friend was nice enough to bring me one since I couldn't attend the signing), and I would not part with it for the world.
