Stevie Nicks claims Botox is "an ugly thing" she will never have again.
The Fleetwood Mac singer insists she will never turn to the wrinkle-defying injection again after a bad experience. Stevie remembers how the product changed the features of her face in a dramatic way.
"I did it in 2003, ten days before Fleetwood Mac filmed Live in Boston. My eyebrows fell like this," she recalled to the British edition of Elle magazine while pulling a face. "I would never do it again. It's an ugly thing that changes your beautiful eyes. I looked like the sister of Satan."
Stevie has changed her lifestyle dramatically since finding fame with the band in the 1970s. She especially avoids sitting out in the sun, which was a pastime of her late father.
"I got my dad's beautiful skin. But it's also tough skin. He lived in Arizona and he was out in the sun all day. I stopped lying out in the sun when I was 30. Probably because we were doing drugs all night long and I was sleeping all day," she admits.
The 65-year-old musician relies on her beauty routine to keep her youthful looks. One product she can't live without is a moisturiser by luxury beauty brand Crème de la Mer.
"I use Crème de la Mer at night. I can afford it. Plus, I never go to bed with make-up on and I do a little massage thing two or three times a day," she added.

She was always shot from the side in the Live in Boston show; never straight on. Guess this was part of the reason!
She does look awfully strange in that concert. Botox truly is the devil, even when it's "correctly" applied.

I started botox 6 months ago (my next appt is coming up), and I love it. I am doing it for preventative reasons as I am only 30, but I think if you go to the right doctor it looks very natural and even brightens up your skin. I guess I am glad I live in NYC and go to one of the best in his field...

I don't really like invasive cosmetic procedures, generally speaking. But at least Stevie's becoming more open about her use of these procedures.

You are lucky but even the very best have problems because each patient is an individual with all that implies! I'm with Stevie! It really can completely change the look of the face and she really did look different didn't she? My (reputed to be the very best) Doc loves botoxing heavily arched eyebrows, GROSS! But, everybody likes it, I guess?
I bet Stevie loves Juvederm tho! Now, THAT is the bomb- diggity and it makes a smokers lip lines disappear along with so many other little and big lines, etc., it's a filler. I used to always wonder why as a serious smoker Stevie's lips still looked so plump and there were no lines around her lips. Among other things...there you have it!

But it wears off in 3 months. I'm with Gavin. I'm 35 and I do it for preventative. I have a great surgeon who does it and only will do it for crows feet, forhead and between the brows and NO WHERE ELSE. It looks completely natural. I also get regular Resculpting Facials. It's all about how you take care of your skin.
It amuses me that some believe botox is preventative - I suspect it may lead to problems far worse than natural ageing - facial muscle atrophy anyone??

Don't have it done then. I respect your opinion but don't challenge mine please.

I think the botox moment was in her ellen appearance. I was horrified, but it went away THANK GAWD.

Oh man, people in their 30's are getting the TOX? Man oh man. I guess if you feel the need and have the funds, go for it. Great skin is mostly genetic. I am blessed to have very little wrinkles @ 42, but I would say some wrinkles as a person ages, add to the natural beauty of a persons face. Personally, I have found washing the face every few days with coconut oil helps with color and elasticity as well!

She definitely stopped botox but there has been other cosmetic treatments ,there are such a broad range now ,with non-invasive treatments, chemical peel, fillers etc. etc. it's becoming more and more possible to stay looking fresh at an older age ,of course looking fresh at an older age doesn't always mean looking 100% natural ..but in the public eye for celebrities it's considered necessary to undergo cosmetic procedures ...cameras are SUPER HD now

You can see in HD where there is smoother appearance in areas of the skin

Those super smooth parts of her cheeks look exactly like where my partner had laser treatments performed on his cheeks to eliminate acne scarring. Stevie probably had her wrinkles zapped at one point. There's no doubt in my mind she's had a cocktail of minor things like that done over the years. I still woudn't surprise me if she's had a less invasive face or eye lift performed. Maybe a couple of times, in fact. Good cosmetic surgery is pretty seamless nowadays.

Ahhh mah gah. I'd hate to have my pickie so close in HD. I'm impressed. I'd use a little more wax on the chin... but holy smokes, that's some good looking skin.

I'm not sure if this ET on OWN has already aired or not, but it was a clip of Stevie talking about her botox, along with them discussing Priscilla Presley's failed job and others. Stevie's segment said:
OWN 10/5/2013 10:22:27 AM: ...Another famous face that met disaster is Stevie nicks. She had botox injections in 2003.
Stevie: Just, you know, like, one little shot here, one here, and one here. When I woke up the next morning, my entire face had fallen down to around my nose, and I had totally triangle eyebrows. And on this eye makeup that I wear, which I've always worn since high school, you couldn't even do it, because the lid had fallen so far that there wasn't even an oval. The Greta Garbo eyes were gone. and so, we had to -- my makeup artist [can't here the name], we had to do makeup -- we had to start this up here. You know, your eyebrow's supposed to start up here. Well, it was down here. and I looked a little bit like, you know, Sister of Satan. and I was hysterical. And so, of course, then I cried for 10 days. It took four months for the procedure to wear off."
Now the 65-year-old singer has this strong warning for anyone considering the popular way many treat wrinkles.
Stevie: Whether you're a model or a secretary, you don't realize that the first time you do it, you might get away with it. The second time you do it, the palette has changed, because there's already poison in your forehead. So, you might get through it once, but the second time, you're working with different paper, and you're never gonna know what your face really looks like. Wow. And I just think people should not do it.
