[:distress:Stevie is getting slow in her old age. She spent three months learning Lady Antebellum's catalog, but she listened to everything FM ever did frontwards and backwards in a couple of days, back in the day. ]

In January, Stevie Nicks shared a stage with country superstars Lady Antebellum to record an episode of CMT’s ‘Crossroads.’ After seven months, there’s finally an airdate.

The episode will show at 10PM on Sept. 13. Nicks and Lady A (Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott) trade verses on hits from both artists as well as some covers. They performed Billy Joel‘s ‘New York State of Mind,’ but there’s no confirmation on which songs made the final cut.

Highlights from the set reportedly include Fleetwood Mac‘s ‘Rhiannon’ and ‘Landslide’ and Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now’ and ‘Downtown.’ Nicks said she spent three months learning the trio’s catalog and was particularly fond of ‘Golden,’ a ballad from the group’s most recent album, also called ‘Golden.’ She called the song “their ‘Landslide.’” The concert was recorded at the Sony Pictures Studio in Los Angeles on Jan. 29 in front of approximately 1,000 fans.

‘Crossroads’ pairs up country stars with their pop and rock influences and contemporaries. Previous episodes have combined the works of Journey with Rascal Flatts, the Doobie Brothers with Luke Bryan and Def Leppard with Taylor Swift.

I'm excited for this. I'm actually rather indifferent to LA. They seem ok but not people who's records I'd buy. But it's just something really different for Stevie and perhaps allow her voice to stretch in ways it hasn't for many years. I hope the results are great. I'll be watching... via internet piracy, as this is unlikely to ever air in the UK. ;)

I've never really warmed to Lady A, but I caught them live last night on CM show last night and they were actually pretty good live. Not sure, the recorded show will sound as good but we will see.

Stevie will make it sound good... ;-)

Yes I try to get it done.I know CMT post their shows online but I dont know if the shows are available worldwide for everyone to see.

I will order the expanded cable probably Wednesday to get CMT like I did with OWN channel earlier this year.

I got a feeling the show will be a high rated show for CMT.They always do great on promoting their shows.

Only because it is new.Stevie doesn't do most of the singing. You can clearly see how thrilled the Lady A members are to be on the same stage as Stevie. You want to see a truly magical performance of Rhiannon, then watch the Mirage Tour video from 1982. Now THAT was magic!

Dex
09-08-2013, 10:58 AM
Well, yes, viv. The new-ness of it is the basis of it's appeal for me, too, I must confess. :) We have no shortage of wonderful Rhiannon performances, but a collaboration like this offers up a fresh take on the piece, and I'm very curious about it.

ETA: Should I keep calling you viv? I know you have a real name, and yet viv seems to keep rolling off my cybertongue. It's just catchy, I guess! Let me know either way.

I can't comment on the sound, but I will say I didn't really like the way the verses were allocated. But maybe when Stevie does LA songs, she will take the lion's share on them and that will even things out. Also, I was not thrilled with how the song ended.

Stevie Nicks at a "Crossroads": Playlist for a Harmonic Convergence With Lady A

There are artists who go in and out of style. Then there are artists who define their own style. Stevie Nicks is one of those unique and singular sensations who come from the heart and somehow reside there forever. Stevie was the second woman who I ever loved from a distance -- right after Elizabeth Montgomery on Bewitched. Clearly, I have a thing for sexy witchy women. Having had the great pleasure of getting to know Stevie and work with her on various projects over the years, including writing the liner notes to the recent 35th anniversary Expanded Edition of Fleetwood Mac's timeless "Rumours," I love her even more now.

This Friday night CMT is airing one of their best "Crossroads" shows ever -- one that brings Stevie together with Lady Antebellum for what is a true harmonic convergence. I'm happy to note that Stevie is on a quite a roll these days. Her most recent solo album "In Your Dreams" produced by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard was arguably her best since her first, "Bella Donna." Of course, Stevie's current tour with Fleetwood Mac finds her and my longtime musical hero Lindsey Buckingham working together at the height of their powers. Standing at a crossroads when other artists their age are beginning to toss in the towel artistically, Stevie -- and Lindsey -- remain wonderfully engaged and extraordinary singer-songwriters here and now. So in anticipation of Friday's "Crossroads" on CMT featuring Stevie and Lady A, here are my current Favorite Stevie Recordings with and without Fleetwood Mac. As always, please feel free to argue with me and add your own Stevie Nicks favorites below. And thanks so much Stevie for draggin' our musical hearts around so well for so long.

"LONG DISTANCE RUNNER" - Buckingham Nicks
"CRYING IN THE NIGHT" - Buckingham Nicks
"LANDSLIDE" - Fleetwood Mac
"RHIANNON" - Fleetwood Mac
"GOLD DUST WOMAN" - Stevie Nicks
"SILVER SPRINGS" - Fleetwood Mac
"SARA" - Fleetwood Mac
"STORMS" - Fleetwood Mac
"INSIDER" - Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
"STAND BACK" - Stevie Nicks
"HAS ANYONE EVER WRITTEN ANTHING FOR YOU" - Stevie Nicks
"GYPSY" - Fleetwood Mac
"SEVEN WONDERS" - Fleetwood Mac
"BLUE DENIM" - Stevie Nicks
"PLANETS OF THE UNIVERSE" - Stevie Nicks
"THROWN DOWN" - Fleetwood Mac
"SAY YOU WILL" - Fleetwood Mac
"ITALIAN SUMMER" - Stevie Nicks
"ANNABEL LEE" - Stevie Nicks
"SOLDIER'S ANGEL" - Stevie Nicks featuring Lindsay Buckingham
"FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH" - Stevie Nicks

No steel ,fiddles and banjos in todays country tunes. Its mostly rock guitar which I'm not a fan of.

Stevie or FM would have no problem releasing any country tunes from their albums today but their age might matter with the age discrimination for radio airplay.

I agree 100 percent on After The Glitter Fades .Wonder why they skipped it.

I do remember when I heard it on my local country radio station at the time.

I'm glad the show is getting out in the press,I wish this was done in 2011 when IYD was release and FWIW and Cheaper and Free Videos would shine on CMT and GAC channels.

Oh my god, she would have. She would have been such a beautiful mother to a little girl and she would have poured her heart and soul into that child. I remember reading something where she was talking about wanting to adopt and she said something about how nothing would come before that little girl - not even her music. I know she's said she's okay with not marrying/having kids, but I think that comes from accepting it wasn't in the cards for her rather than choosing to not have kids/husband. It kills me to hear her talk about this and I wish so much that it could've happened for her.

Yes The only gripe I have is the show could be 2 hours.

CMT could take an hour away from their crap reality programming to give the show an extra hour.

I agree - this should have easily been two hours.

Excellent show. I haven't seen a Crossroads this good since Mumford & Sons with Emmylou Harris.

From what I can tell, four performances were cut (Downtown, Cold as Stone, Just a Kiss and Gold Dust Woman) and now I really hope we get these extras somehow :( I would love to see Gold Dust Woman!

They probably show up on the CMT website or a Crossroads DVD.

I just re-listened to EO17 and notice it was cut short for the show.

Wow! I agree with all of the other positive comments on this show. I have seen quite a few of the other Crossroads and this is by far the best even though I wasn't as familiar with Lady A's songs. Stevie and Lady A both seem to be invested in each other's music, and it really shows in the performances. Kudos to all and to the crossroads people for making this one a reality. (BTW: I agree that the Mumford/Emmylou show was stellar.)

Ok, Stevie really needed this in the country community. Fair or unfair, there was the Dixie Chicks association and the Taylor Swift debacle. This is excellent.

The highlights -

1. Golden - her voice enhances the song and it's just excellent. She anchors the song with her unusual vocals and antebellum hits the right orbit.
2. Stop Dragging My Heart Around - I never expected Stevie to bring out extra harmonies to actually enhance this song but she certainly did. I love this. She made it fresh.
3. The daughter I never had comment to Hillary - who didn't get teary eyed over that comment.
4. Rhiannon - Hillary loves this song. You can tell by they way she sings the **** out of it. Excellent vocals from everyone here.
5. OK THE BIG HIGHLIGHT IS STEVIE - SHE IS INTO THIS - HER GESTURES - HER EXTRA KNOWING VOCALS AND TENDER LOVING CARE SHE PROVDES THEIR SONGS WITH, SHE NAILED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT A SURPRISE! This is easily one of the best crossroads ever.

I understand that.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/stevie-nicks-lady-antebellum-come-629040

The idea of collaborating on each others' songs came by way of a dream, the Fleetwood Mac singer tells THR.

If you tune in to the new episode of CMT Crossroads, which has Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum as its latest cross-genre pairing, you’ll hear a version of “Rhiannon” that almost sounds more like Fleetwood Mac’s original version than Fleetwood Mac could do.

Perhaps we should let Stevie explain…
“I gave Hillary (Scott) that high part in ‘Rhiannon’ because I don’t sing it that way on stage -- because I can’t reach that note,” Nicks tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I reached it once: the day we recorded the song in 1977. I thought, you know what, if we’re gonna do this, wouldn’t it be great to actually have her sing the real melody of ‘Rhiannon.’ Because it has not been sung since it was written!”
That’s not to say that Nicks took the lazy way out, long-abandoned high notes excepted. CMT producers say they’ve never had a guest from the rock world approach a Crossroads taping with quite as much preparation or work ethic as the FM mainstay. And this particular coupling was Nicks’ own idea, coming out of a dream she had where she was cheating on Lindsey Buckingham, musically speaking.
“The dream was very short,” Nicks says. “And the dream was actually very fun. But I just want to clarify that so that when my other half hears this” (by “other half,” she means her professional partner Buckingham), “he doesn’t get all pissed off, because it wasn’t that kind of a dream. We were just having our usual little disagreement [in the dream], because that’s what we do. And I laughingly said to him, ‘Well, fine. I’ll just go join Lady Antebellum.’ And then the dream ended, and I sat up, and there it was.”

Nicks didn’t think much more about this nocturnal prophecy until three days later, when she went to the premiere of a Led Zeppelin concert movie and was approached by Bill Flanagan, a longtime producer for MTV Networks specials, who asked her for the umpteenth time if she’d be willing to do a Crossroads. Much to his shock, she said she could fit it in right before rehearsal started for this year’s Fleetwood Mac tour. And before he could start listing potential names, Nicks told him about how Lady Antebellum had just popped up in her rapid-eye-movement revelation.
For Lady A, it didn’t matter that Rumours came out before they were born; there wasn’t much homework required. “We didn’t have to listen -- we already knew,” says Charles Kelley, who maintains that translating Nicks’ classics from their collective memory into band recreations was a cinch.
Nicks had more research to do, since she admits she was only familiar with a handful of Lady A’s tunes at the time of inception. “I knew the ones I’d heard on the radio -- because I still do listen to radio -- like ‘Need You Now’ and ‘Just a Kiss.’ And then I found ‘Cold as Stone,’ which I loved, because I love that kind of Appalachian sound. I also loved ‘We Own the Night’ and ‘Love Don’t Live Here Anymore,’ and I even learned ‘Downtown,’ so I just kept adding, until my list became ridiculous. Then I watched one of the Crossroads shows where they only had a total of four or five songs, and I was thinking, this is not going to work for us.”
In the end, Crossroads is airing a total of seven songs on the telecast -- far fewer than the two acts prepared or even shot, but still a hefty helping. They join forces on Nicks’ “Landslide,” “Edge of Seventeen,” “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” and “Rhiannon” as well as Lady A’s “Need You Now,” “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore,” and “Golden.” (Their joint version of “Just a Kiss” was a highlight at the January taping, with Nicks’ added harmony making the country ballad feel more complete than it ever had before, but for whatever reason, CMT cut it from the broadcast.)

When they do Lady A’s multiple Grammy-winning smash “Need You Now,” Nicks opens the tune by duplicating the spoken-word phone call monologue that begins the original recording. The band didn’t know Nicks was going to do that, and you can see Scott cracking up over the surprise. They did a subsequent retake that nixed Nicks’ unexpected recitation, but fortunately, producers went with the first version that included Stevie going whole-hog with the song’s drunk-dialing motif.
Nicks spent two months absorbing all of Lady A’s albums before she ever got on the phone with the group to start making definite plans. “By the time I talked with them, I had listened to the music for so many days in a row that I really felt like I had known them for a hundred years,” she says. “So it was really one of those fun phone calls where it felt like we were friends forever.”
“The connection made in those calls was just priceless,” agrees Scott, “and the way it allowed us to build a relationship was reflected, I think, once we hit the stage. You can tell when you watch one of these if they don’t know each other or if they do.” But, she hastens to add, the actual rehearsals were “hard work.”
“And we were standing the whole time,” says Nicks. “And Hillary was pregnant, and standing up -- for like eight hours a day for three solid days, standing on concrete. I almost always sit in my chair when I’m rehearsing. But I said to Hillary, ‘We’re better off to stand and sing, because if we sit, you’re all like this’” -- at which point she adopts a scrunched-up posture that might indeed be uncomfortable for a performer who is in a family way. “Plus, I felt like we just had way too much work to do to actually sit. It was a very ambitious project that we took on. Fleetwood Mac went into rehearsal around the 15th of February, and our first date was in the middle of April, so we were rehearsing for six weeks, five days a week, six or seven hours a day… and all of those are songs that we already know!”

The one song they ended up doing together from Lady Antebellum’s new album, Golden, wasn’t the hit “Downtown” -- even though Nicks learned it -- but the more subdued title track.
As Kelley explains it, “There’s this one part in ‘Golden’ where we totally kind of take a Crosby, Stills & Nash little moment on the bridge. And she had referenced them when we were on the phone with her, saying, ‘You know what I love about your three-part harmony is, it reminds me a lot of Crosby, Stills & Nash.’ And I go, ‘Aw, man, I just have to send you this song. Maybe we can almost recreate a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young thing, with a four-part harmony moment. So we send this song, and when we met her she had this really great, heartbreaking story about how the song had touched her.”
Elaborates Nicks: “I’m in my beautiful little bathroom in my condo that took me a year to complete. It’s a little white jewel box room. I’m in there and I get the song and I play it once, and I start to cry. My best friend from the 7th and 8th grade, when I lived in Salt Lake, has a daughter who has a brain tumor, and she has golden, curly hair. The song was on repeat, and it started again, and she walked in, and I just put my arms around her and held her really tight and just really sobbed for the whole four minutes of the song. Because she is golden, and I just wanted to put every bit of energy I had into this girl, because she’s facing an extremely tough battle.
“And then the night before she had surgery at UCLA,” says Nicks, “I wrote out the words for her, and I wrote ‘Just remember you are that golden lion, and just remember that you are a warrior queen. And when they put you to sleep, remember to fight, and remember how golden you are.’ And I think it helped her, and she came through the surgery really well. She is the little girl in ‘Golden.’ So I know that song is going to reach out and make people drop to their knees.”
The Nicks/Lady A Crossroads premieres Friday, Sept. 13 on CMT, with repeats set for Saturday and Sunday (check local listings).

Thank you so much for being so timely! I was able to record it.

It was really enjoyable to watch. I liked the band more than I thought I would. They were an inspired choice for Stevie. She clearly enjoys singing with others, and these performances display her gift of great harmonizing. She looked just like a member of their band! I wonder if this show will gain her a new batch of fans -- people who might have had misconceptions about her talent.

I love the little vignettes between songs, where they are having conversations. Stevie was very eloquent, and showed little pretension. She came off as a wise sage without trying be, and said some very sincere things that really touched them.

I'm convinced Stevie has the potential to make a great country/rock album. Her friend Sheryl Crow just put out her first country album. I hope Stevie follows suit, inspired by this experience.

I liked the part between songs when Stevie was saying sweet things about Hillary's voice/look/innocence... nearly had them in tears. You could tell for a moment as the camera cut from Stevie to a long shot of Hillary that Hillary was trying hard to keep it together, then it cut away to commercial/song or something. While many other rock icons would be singing their own praises, Stevie sings the praises of the not-yet-icons. Someone who raises other people up instead of trying to ensure their own place on the pedestal, you really gotta admire someone like that - I know I do! Stevie for American Idol judge!!!

No problem.I'm glad you catch it in time. Yes I agree 100 percent about Stevie doing a country album.I got to check out Sheryl's new album out .

Maybe all 3 should get together and do one. I love Sheryl's work on TISL .

Yes Stevie would love to have Hillary as her daughter .

Even her mom Linda Davis would love to hear that too.

Thanks to Reba for getting Linda going in the biz.

CMT has full play online. Just watched half of it. It's beautiful. I couldn't help think about the waste of time, and disrespect she received, with Rod Stewart on tour after seeing her with Lady Antebellum. She's in her realm here.

The thing about Rod is not even that he has bad songs. It's that he puts on a very sleazy, lounge lizard show that is not about expressing the music.

If it's lucrative to tour with country singers who bring in the crowds but yet still care about the ART of music, then Stevie should consider doing that in the future.

I know that the officially released Crossroads with Taylor Swift was one hour and fifteen minutes. So maybe they did put in 15 minutes of additional song in that extra time. Maybe if they officially released Stevie's on dvd ...

Yes. I hope it will get released on DVD.It would be great at the same time IYD DVD gets released .If It ever happens.

I still feel we got ripped off on time of show with the 20 minutes of BS that CMT dished out in our faces .

I know they need to support the show with the commercials but freaking 20 minutes of them.

I wish they did Dreams,Standback,After The Glitter Fades,Thats Alright,FWIW and Cheaper Then Free.

I was thinking now of CMT Crossroads as I remember commenting years ago about Stevie should do a show with current country artists .As I remember Lady A was one of my picks.

I guess our ESP signals connect on it.LOL....

BTW Has anybody see Dog and Beth reality show.

Last night I watched the making of a Dallas Cheerleader which I seen before.

I love the 1979/80 girls better then the later ones also the 1979 TV movie too.

I'm watching Crossroads again LOL...

Just a Kiss (https://app.box.com/s/d5s7j3vrzc096l344qb0)
Gold Dust Woman (https://app.box.com/s/puvje4mweug6uftnrgnr)
Cold as Stone (https://app.box.com/s/61r53wl8twdbwfr0btl0)

These were captured from the streaming audio instead of a direct rip from the video so there's a slight difference in quality but not very noticeable unless you're obsessive about these things like I am.

ETA: Jk these sound awful in headphones to me. CMT's website isn't very nice so this was a last resort way of capturing it, unfortunately :/

I realize that it would be really cool to show that one again, but, this one with Stevie & Lady A blows it out of the water. So much, it really makes the Lindsey/LBT one kind of paint Lindsey in a bad light.

Stevie did her homework...she KILLED the Lady A tunes. I was just "jaw to the floor" impressed. I was actually "proud" of Stevie for doing that.

Just made me think back and recall (maybe even incorrectly) that Lindsey kind of half-assed the Little Big Town tunes, but pretty much seemed to make them do all the work learning his & Fleetwood Mac's material.

I even had a thought while watching the Stevie/Lady A show. While Lady A's singer is on maternity leave, they should get Stevie to fill in for a few months until she's comes back.

Yes...this really IS chiliD posting this; I AM sober, I have not lost my mind.

I really DID think that both Steve & Lady A just raised the bar of these Crossroads shows so high, that CMT should do an expanded (90 minute) episode of this one using ALL the songs...then cancel the rest of the series because NOBODY is going to come close to doing one of these as good as last night's EVER again.

chiliD I hear ya! I agree that this Crossroads was AMAZING! I was blown away by every song. Stevie really nailed their songs. They sounded like they had been singing together for years! Their voices just wrapped around each other, I have never heard anything like this. CMT should do the full show with all the songs included, and cut back on the ads. This CMT Crossroads, IMO will be one of those shows that will become a classic, a must see because of it's excellence.

"Golden" is my new favorite song.. thank you Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks..

"even when you're miles away.. always on my mind.. Lord, knows when you're in my heart even when I close my eyes.. you are golden, precious as a prayer flying up through the air while the rain is falling.. golden... "

"I don't want to miss another perfect moment to tell you how you make me feel.."

"the smallest parts of who you are everything to me.. from the way you laugh to the way you cry to the way you love on me.."

thank you for sharing and thank you Stevie and Lady Antebellum.. beautiful performance.

Forgot to post my feelings about the actual show-

I'm not a country fan, but Lady Antebellum is pretty mild, so I never minded them. I actually liked the song "Need You Now" when I heard it on the radio (until they played it to death). I think they paired with Stevie extremely well, and I liked it a lot more than I expected to. I'd too, would be game for a Lady Antebellum/Stevie Tour. It's shows like this that make me think, I hope my friends catch this so they can appreciate how talented and relevant Stevie is.

Bravo Stevie and Lady Antebellum!!!!

LOVED the concert. Was not a fan of Lady Antebellum, so I had no idea what to expect. However, I loved hearing Stevie sing new stuff and their songs were pretty good. I loved hearing her vocals on Need You Now and Golden.

As for Stevie's songs, I liked them and only have minor issues with them.

Edge of 17 was great, though hearing Hillary do Sharon's part with Stevie didn't really do anything for me.

Stop Draggin' My Heart Around was ok...certainly not as good as it is with Tom Petty...however, I loved the interaction between Stevie and Charles.

Landslide went better than I expected it because I've never like any versions other than those with Lindsey.

Rhiannon and Gold Dust Woman both were great...I just wish Stevie had done the main vocals on it. Hillary's voice doesn't match the tone or the mood of either of those songs, so the intros to both were much less powerful than they could have been.

But yeah, loved the show. They all seeemed to be having a blast and all of LA seemed to be totally in love with Stevie. I loved Stevie's vocals on all of their songs, I loved her intro to Need You Now, & I loved her chemistry with Charles. Basically, the ideal situation for me would have been for him and her doing the main vocals and Hillary doing the harmonies, backgrounds, etc.

First I want to thank those of you that have been posting links, both video and audio, and made it possible for us on the other side of the pond to even be able to watch and listen to Crossroads.

And as for the show...I am not a huge fan of Lady Antebellum either especially since "need you know" have been played waaaaay to much on the radio here.

However I absolutely loved to watch this. Mostly because Stevie sounded great and looked so comfortable and she seemed to really enjoy herself. It was fun to see her do something new and different and LOVED all the harmonizing.

Favorite Stevie quote (when they are rehearsing Landslide): "...no let's do it again. Why not, it's only the 900 thousand of times I've done it, it's fine. And then next year when I go back with my band I will do it for another 50 thousand times..."

Lady Antebellum-Stevie Nicks episode sizzles on CMT

‘Coolest thing we’ve ever done’

By Kristin M. Hall, The Associated Press SEPTEMBER 12, 2013

NASHVILLE — Lady Antebellum may be on hiatus, but fans are still getting a chance to see something new from the Nashville trio.

Lady A will join Stevie Nicks on Friday night’s episode of CMT Crossroads, the show that matches country stars with partners from different musical genres.

“Performing with Stevie Nicks is by far the coolest thing we have ever done in our career,” Lady A’s Charles Kelley said.

CMT recorded the performance last spring in Los Angeles before Lady A singer Hillary Scott gave birth to her first child this summer. The group has been on a break for two months and won’t return to the road till later this year.

The show airs 10 p.m. EDT and pairs the trio with Nicks, a member of Fleetwood Mac . The singers will tackle songs from the catalogues of each, including Rhiannon, Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around and Need You Now

Rumours Still Surround Stevie Nicks, Lady Antebellum
Written by CMT.com Staff

Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum's collaboration on CMT Crossroads was a labor of love and a lot of hard work.

"It was a lot of fun," Nicks told CMT Hot 20 Countdown's Katie Cook at the taping Los Angeles taping of CMT Crossroads: Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum.

After paring down the list of song possibilities, Nicks and Lady Antebellum finally concentrated on 10 titles evenly split between some of the two acts' most popular material. The concert special features songs from Nicks' solo career and Fleetwood Mac, including "Edge of Seventeen," "Landslide," "Rhiannon" and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," as well as Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," "Love Don't Live Here" and "Golden."

Although all of the material was familiar, the biggest challenge was learning how to blend together to perform each other's music.

"It was a lot of hours of preparation to get those five songs," Nicks said of tackling Lady Antebellum's hits. "It's a lot of work to learn very intricate harmonies and sing them like you've been singing them forever. It's hard. It's not an easy thing ... but I think we did great."

Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley agreed.

"She says five songs, and we're sitting here thinking that the five songs that were a piece of cake for her were the songs that were hard for us," he said.

"My songs were easier," Nicks insisted.

"No, you're songs are very intricate," Kelley said. "I got lost in the moment a couple of times. I will say there are a couple of times -- the viewers won't see because they'll edit it out -- when we had to start a song over just because I got lost in the moment and didn't look at the screen and remember it wasn't my time to sing."

Like many musicians of his generation, Kelley was particularly influenced by Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. Released in 1977, the album has sold more than 19 million copies and is one of the top-selling albums of all time.

"My family had this collection of old records," he said. "Obviously, Rumours was in there. It wasn't that old of a record, but it was the best record of all of them that we had. I literally became obsessed with it. I mean, we had all these different little records. Out of all of them, as a 10-year-old, I knew this was it. This was the Holy Grail. When I listen to it, I go, 'That's a record -- from start to finish.'"

"Really, I don't think that our music is all that different," Nicks added. "I really think that when you listened to Rumours, you weren't thinking this was a super-exact rock record. That record had a lot of country flavor, a lot of pop flavor. That record could have led us anywhere.

"I'm glad that was probably a really good influence on you for what you guys did because it has all different elements in that record. It's kind of a perfect little record."

I wonder how the ratings go with the show.

They could of run it at another prime time time slot instead of their reality junk shows.

Sunday night would be a good night for the show.

Atlease they did not run the showings in the wee hours like 3am.

Good ratings could mean a DVD release if the show brought good numbers in for CMT.

For any/everyone interested, I downloaded from one of my favorite websites called Silver Springs who I follow on Tumblr. It has all the songs "Just A Kiss," "Gold Dust Woman," and "Cold As Stone." I had never heard the "Cold As Stone" before but Stevie knocks it out of the park with her harmonizing. Don't know about any of you but I have heard her harmonize with lots of folks. Love her songs with Tom Petty but this has got to be one of the best, IMO. Wish I knew how to give you a link from the Silver Springs website but I am not that savvy. Just learned today how to download to a CD. I know. Me and Stevie.......I'm 63 yrs. old. What can I say.

MacFanForever,
Not to be a pain but is it possible for you to post the three bonus tracks as three separate MP3's to download? I really appreciate it.

That probably includes the extra 3 songs what CMT chopped out for their collection of annoying long winded adverts.

I hope it will get release on DVD soon.

HOw many times in the last 30 years have we actually heard Rhiannon with "Taken By The Sky". Now if they had only said "Will your ever win?"!!! I wanna hear the original Rhiannon once before I die.

Wasn't the Grammy duet with Taylor Swift the original version, or very close to it?

Sorry about the delay. Here you go with the 3 bonus songs at the end.

This recording was made right off of my cable box sound outputs as it was going to my DVD recorder.

I used my Roland Edirol digital recorder to capture the wave.

The 3 bonus tunes sound was ripped from the CMT website videos.

Please give me credit if shared or traded plus selling it is prohibited.

I still blame the Grammy producers that did not give them more time to rehearse the songs.

Alittle more practice for Taylor could of pulled it off.

[Dave talks about Stevie in this excerpt]

http://www.azcentral.com/story/entertainment/music/2015/07/08/interview-dave-haywood-life-lady-antebellum/29587577/

Interview: Dave Haywood on life in Lady Antebellum

Ed Masley, The Republic | azcentral.com 8:41 a.m. MST July 8, 2015

Lady Antebellumtopped the Billboard country airplay charts with "Bartender," the first single from last year's "747." But guitarist Dave Haywood says he and his bandmates were pulling for "Long Stretch of Love" as the first single. They liked "Bartender," too, just not as much.

"But once our management and label heard it," Haywood says, "they were like, 'Oh that's the hit right there.' And we were like, 'No, we love all these other ones, too.' But yeah, they felt like 'Bartender' was the best one to lead with."

And that's before Stevie Nicks had her say on the subject.

"This is gonna sound like a name-drop," Haywood admits with a laugh. "I hate to do this, but we were doing the 'Crossroads' thing with Stevie Nicks about a year and a half ago, so we played her some of the songs we were recording and she picked 'Bartender' as the hit, too. I was like, 'Really?! I thought you would have liked "Long Stretch of Love" more.'

"We're sitting there showing her all these songs and I was thinking, 'I can't wait to show her "Long Stretch of Love." ' Because I'm such a huge fan of the way those harmonies in Fleetwood Mac are structured. And we kind of tried to emulate those harmonies on 'Long Stretch of Love.' But sure enough, she loves 'Bartender.' I was like, 'Well, there it is.' "

We caught up with Haywood to talk about the album and the tour that brings him back to Phoenix for a performance at Ak-Chin Pavilion.
