Hey guys, I've done some searching and can find surprisingly little information on the Dutch castle Stevie rented in 1989. We know that Mick Fleetwood had his wedding there also, in the early 90s.

Might anyone have pictures or information they can share?? Thanks in advance, everyone.

The album was recorded in L.A., and only mixed in England:

I always thought the 'dutch castle' was actually this place, which of course is not in L.A.

I wonder if it is this place:

I don't know anything about it, and I'm sure this isn't helpful, but I found this and thought it was interesting to hear her speak candidly about the 'castle'. This is from the Behind the Music episode in 2001.

Narrator: In 1989 Stevie was back. She was healthy and ready to make her fourth solo album. To record it, Stevie transformed a Dutch-style castle in Los Angeles into a studio.

Stevie: I can talk about this now because, who cares? It cost $25,000 a month, all right. It's like, it was like, forget it! Nobody should rent this house! This incredible house. We changed the formal dining room into a recording studio and recorded the record, the whole record there. So it was my magic album.

I wish she still felt that way about it...

Hi everyone! I'm new to the Ledge, but excited to be here. Have been a fan for most of my life, but have never actually posted on any of the forums.

Anyway, for many years I thought it was a Dutch castle as well, but I heard in an OSOTM-era radio interview a few years ago that it was a Dutch style castle in the Los Angeles area. Takes away a bit of the mystique, but still cool.

Whoops, just realized that you answered the question a couple days ago. Guess there's a bit of a learning curve for me! :o

As some are aware, this is also the home where Mick Fleetwood had his wedding, in the early-90s.
