Just wanted to let y'all know a bunch of Stevie stuff just surfaced on youtube. (Thanks so much Mike Bise!) Lots of stuff I haven't seen before.
Videos include her '96 soundcheck in a flowered white sundress, coverage from the 98 Mac thing @ the grammys, her 'performance' as the ghost of christmas past, clips of her and Tom recording SDMHA & Insider, lots of interviews from the 80s through early 90s, etc.

Check it out here (http://www.youtube.com/user/mikebise/videos)

SO glad to see that Knocking On Heaven's Door has been uploaded. I've missed that performance.
And how cute is Stevie reading A Christmas Carol?

God these are great!

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/_HvTaXQnbKU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

For some reason when I watched this, I thought of Stevie becoming kind of a cult Indie artist who could play smaller, more intimate gigs, and dig in deep and do lesser known songs..... I guess we may never see this.

le sigh. That mid 1990's floral sun dress is SO frumpy. It looks like something any soccer mom in her mid 40s would have bought at JCPenny or from the Jacklyn Smith line at Kmart. Then again, this was the Rock Bottom of Stevie's career. She was playing tiny shows at practically State Fair level venues. Sure, she was looking better than in 10 years and even sounded good (though I think she sounded even better for Dance/Enchanted era) once she stopped smoking (for at least a while)

Did anyone notice that she was totally wearing a Rumours album cover style outfit for the Florida show? It looks like its sleeveless and low cut! Why didnt she wear that for The Dance!? Had she put on weight after that show? She looks great.

She performed shows in 1996 and Twisted was performed at all of them. These dates had nothing to do with the Enchanted Tour.

Yes. that was my point. These radio station promotions seem more like Street Fests than real concerts. Enchanted was a WHOLE other deal entirely than the post Street Angel - Pre-Dance era. It seems like that was when Stevie was more or less forgotten as a megastar and just trying to heal herself and get back to her real self. You can really see in these 1996 videos how the glimmer was returning and what convinced the Dance tour promoters (and I suspect Mick) that Stevie was BACK and ready to be the sexy vixen she was and pull off the Dance tour. The rest is history!

There was an outdoor radio station gig with lots of bands in Boston. I have the video. Then I have the video of the Florida show on a pier she did where the poster commented on the Jaclyn Smith style dress she wore during soundcheck. Then there was an Ohio gig. There might have been one more show that year that I cannot recall right now. These were all small crowd shows. Try to find a video of this Boston gig. You will love her outfit and her choice of songs. The performance was outstanding.

Thats news to me.I did not know she toured in 1996.

I've never seen those Florida videos before.

I wish she did state and local fairs.

Here we got the Big E in Mass and the Durham Fair in September.

Those were not tours. Those were pity parties by local radio stations for promotions. We have those in Chicago. I'm seeing a lot of washed up 90's bands headline those street fests.

I've never seen the Columbus show but the one in Boston you can really see bits of the old Stevie coming back. I remember watching that show and getting oh so excited when she did Twisted and GDW...with those great vocals and even a little tambo thrown in. She had been "away" both physically and spiritually for so long at that point and this was indeed the beginning of the return of Stevie Nicks.

Thank goodness for the medium which is called the internet.

I would be totally lost without it.

I would not know of the upcoming tours and miss out on shows.

Anyway thanks to Mike for sharing these golden memories with us with his video collection.

Yes, I was on the internet for the X-Files, but not for Fleetwood Mac until 2003 and I often think of the information I missed out on. My Dance tour experience would have been entirely different if I'd been online during that period.

Yes I first catch the internet bug probably in 1997 when my parents got their Gateway desktop computer.

I remember browsing the web for Stevie FM sites and info.At that time my first stop was NicksFix which at that time was on ts own and other favorite sites.

YouTube was not here yet but videos were available through p to p sites and other fan sites.

Thats probably how I found Stevie's Wildheart dressing room video and other videos that we see on YouTube.

I got my first desk top computer in December 1998 to get off my parents computer
as they were getting pissed as I was filling up their hard drive with Stevie/FM stuff and using ink and paper for printing Stevie and FM photos.

Hahahaha. We all probably can relate to that as we used our parents computers.

I used to lurk this forum until 10 years ago and finally joined it.

We're a lucky generation when it comes to the technology. I hate most of it, having just escaped the iphone/video games generation (I'm 18 and from a little farm town on the jersey shore. Didn't have cable tv or internet or video games or even a computer until about 5 or 6 years ago.) Now I see the 4 year old I babysit with big screens in her room and ipads. While I hate most of it, i'm very grateful to have the 'net and the easy access to info/videos/music/pictures/etc and meeting new people with common interests. My mom's a chiffonhead, i'm a 2nd gen 'sister of the moon' and was brought up with it. And she just dies when she sees all these bootlegs and videos and old audio tapes that are all over youtube, she always says she would've killed for this stuff when she was a teenager making her own Stevie mixtapes whenever they played her on the radio.
I know Stevie hates it because she doesn't understand it, but she never would have found Secret Love or Without You had it not been for youtube and the demo/bootleg collectors who post there. And sites like tumblr give her a lot of exposure and makes lots of new fans.

I dumped my extended cable TV package because I can watch most of everything on YouTube ,Hulu. and TV network sites and TVFreeload site.

Why bother paying US $75 dollars for cable with extended basic for I can watch most of everything for free online.

My mom got cable around 1975 .

I was in heaven when Stevie's HBO concert aired in 1982 and probably watched it every time it aired.

Now the complete HBO show is on YouTube.

YouTube is great now.You find anything on there. Its a great tool.

I remember hearing Stevie saying she is starting to get used to YouTube and feel better about it as she mentions when she was explaining Without You at the FM concerts.

BTW.Mike just added more to his YouTube channel. Thanks again Mike.

Really? At the last few shows of the tour it was still her "least favorite thing."

Whats really getting me annoyed is YouTube keeps nagging me to use my real name on my channel.

Screw them.

Wow, thank you Mike Bise!!! A lot of candid, raw moments that are really just so beautiful to watch. In the case of the Rolling Stone shoot, I appreciate the clearer videos. There are moments I don't remember seeing, and some that I love being able to view better :)

I just wanted to point out That's Alright in particular. There were a lot of things I was going to post..but just watch around 2:10-2:25. I truly can't explain how beautiul she sounds..oh how I wish there was an r&b version of this song. Here's a glimpse of how it would sound..
