THanks for this - I just caught some the hosts' banter, and it sounds pretty good. Even when you own so much of the music, it's always fun to hear FM played on the radio, and interesting to hear their choices- I'll keep it on as background today- THey're going to do some live, covers, etc. Hah they just came back and are doing ISA by request- cool way to start the morning!

[jcfree]

Thanks for sharing this special marathon on The Sting radio station. Have been listening all day and am sooooo loving this!! So many songs of my fave group FM, plus they are playing solo LB and SN too. Ken Caillet is up next being interviewed by the DJ's, can't wait. I will be listening all through the night till 1 am, when it ends. The sound is excellent, am enjoying hearing many songs I've not listened to and it's like hearing them for the first time! Making my day!!!!

[jenniferuk]

Wow...Hard Feelings! Haven't heard that in ages. Djs talking Rick and Billy--

Excellent variety of music.

CM solo work up next (post FM solo)

Thank you for the link. I just turned it on and heard Secret Love which BTW is the 1st and only time I have ever heard it on the radio.

[jenniferuk]

Lizard People followed by Touched by an Angel.

This dj did his homework!

[hs421139]

:blob2: twisted, throwndown ,did you miss me, i'd rather go blind

[thinkaboutme90]

Wow...Love Shines? I never dreamed I'd hear that on public radio, it's such a great song!:blob1:

[Morgana]

You are so welcome! :) I have enjoyed this so much, spent the entire day listening and they really have done a tremendous job! I was amazed by the version of Gold Dust Woman they played during Ken's interview. OMG....that was hauntingly awesome! Doubt I'll make it til 1:00 but I can try!

[Macfanforever]

The stream crapped out after 8 hours I had to restart the player.

[Morgana]

The stream crapped out after 8 hours I had to restart the player.

I had trouble too. I had to reboot and it's been going strong since.

[equeen102289]

I was the 10th caller out of 11 for the Rumours Boxed Set. What a bummer.

[Macfanforever]

I had trouble too. I had to reboot and it's been going strong since.

They must have a 8 hour limit on streaming.

There is a little gap in the recording now.

They do that because some listeners forget to shut the streams off at work or home .The server automatically boot off the listener after the certain time.

[vivfox]

I loved hearing Skip's favorite song YCFT on the radio!!!

[vivfox]

OMG the Cleaning Lady version of Sara!!!!!!!!!!

[Macfanforever]

I loved hearing Skip's favorite song YCFT on the radio!!!

OMG the Cleaning Lady version of Sara!!!!!!!!!!

This is great The Big D WDRC in Hartford should do something like this instead of playing a tune or two on that Stevie+ Rod weekend they did in 2011.

Its still recording here.I could post it If its ok with the mods.

They will be rerunning Ken's interview later the DJ just said.

[Macfanforever]

"Gold " is playing now via request.

[MacShadowsBall]

Back home from work and the grocery, nice to hear everybody enjoying this awesome Mac marathon...

"Gold" by John Stewart...

Prove Your Love

Question: Have they played much Pre-Rumours?

[Macfanforever]

I mention earlier that WBWC did a marathon on FM years back.Maybe it was in 2009 when FM Unleashed tour was going on.

Thanks to Morgana and her friend for the heads up for this marathon.

[MacShadowsBall]

Rattlesnake Shake -Was wondering if much Pre-Rumours/Peter Green era was played

Jellybean remix of Everywhere

DJ's talk about the Tango remixes and hopes of a Tango rerelease with extras

Love Runs Deeper

...and one of the most obscure songs.... "God Knows I Love You", from Bekka and Billy's '97 album!!

DJ's talking about Bekka and the Time album...

In a few minutes, repeat of the Ken Calliat interview....

[Macfanforever]

Thats what I love about these non commercial collage radio stations. They can get into the bands music deeply.Commercail radio does not have the time to do that.

I used to have a show on a local non com school station in town here back in the late 1970's which was a two hour country show which followed my friends bluegrass show.I had a great time doing it. I have my tapes somewhere from it that my uncle recorded for me.

[Macfanforever]

It looks like the show is over.

[jcfree]

They played Songbird but it was a different version with guitar that the DJ's said was done in addition to the one with just the piano. I loved it! Had never known of this version, does anyone know if this version with guitar is available anywhere? Would love to have it. Also the Sisters of The Moon version they played was different than what was on the album, instead of ending with Lindsey on guitar, at the very end of it Stevie softly wails it was so haunting, had never heard this one before either. Anyone know if this is available anywhere?

[sleepless child]

How neat! Thanks for sharing.

I totally agree. Fleetwood Mac certainly has enough material to warrant an XM station. I've thought that for awhile.

[jenniferuk]

Others I heard:

Storms, Leather and Lace, Temp One

Man of the World, Hynotized, BMW, Oh Well-I think they said they did his twice incl Billy version.

They mentioned Rick did the solo on Segers Like a Rock and is in the Chevy commercial.

They did a nod to JMs Gotta Band w/Lola, which I thought a nice touch.

I listened off and on and was pleasantly surprised each time-the one dj really did his prep work and knows FM and the other seemed interested in learning all things Mac.

[MacShadowsBall]

I really enjoyed the marathon, but wish I didn't have to work yesterday.

I did get to listen to songs I've haven't heard before or in a long time. Perhaps others have discovered Mac and Mac related songs they enjoyed, opening up your horizons and such.

[Macfanforever]

The marathon perked me up since I've been in the dumps and depressed lately.

They may be from the expanded remasters of Rumour and Tusk. I didn't hear them to know for sure, but there are alternates released on the remasters.

[MacShadowsBall]

The 2004 Rumours remaster has a second disc which has an alternate version of Songbird, with light guitar/drum work. Probably what was played on the marathon. Of course there are more outtakes and such and the new version out.

Personally, I prefer it with just Christine and her piano.

[jcfree]

Thanks for the info, I have the Tusk remastered and the 2004 Rumours. Will dig them out and check if they are on these.

[Macfanforever]

Thank you so much! I downloaded it yesterday and have been listening all day today. I wasn't able to listen to it when it first aired so I thought I was out of luck. Thanks for your effort at recording and editing out unrelated material. I think the station really did a good job of being thorough and inclusive. It's really fun to listen to it because it's so random...you never know what's going to come up next.
