I'm guessing, like most, Sad Angel live. And after listening to a couple concert recordings of the song, I couldn't think of a better track to tack on the end. Well maybe a Christine song, but c'mon, that's not happening.

I hope the studio SA has the same energy in studio as live in the chorus. I like how the two half-shout the words, lots of energy. Very I Don't Want to Know, which has been said in the other thread, but it's a nice callback to an era whose sound we haven't heard in 35 years.

I think the live track makes a lot of sense. They've said many times they recorded 2 new Lindsey songs and an old BN song. There's never been any mention of going back in and doing another song. So I voted for the live track.

I really hope there is no live song tacked on to the end of this EP. Fleetwood Mac has released enough live material to hold me over for the rest of my life. A lineup with only 5 albums (6 if you count SYW) should not have 3 live albums (4 if you count the live CD from the recent Rumours box set). It is just a little absurd. On top of these 3 (or 4) live albums, there have been about another dozen live tracks scattered around various single releases and The Chain box set.

It seems most people here are sorta liking "Sad Angel" - It's ok, my opinion is that it's pedestrian & generic. However, I do like the idea of a FM uptempo song, I guess you have to take the good with the bad. Overall i'm reserving my opinion until I hear the studio version. Also I'm not that excited about Miss Fantasy based on "Sad Angel". I'm looking forward to the new studio version of "Without You" most of all. I love the live versions I've seen on You Tube, Stevie's voice soars.

I agree. If there is a fourth song, it'll be a live one. It's well documented there won't be a Stevie song on this EP... she basically just put vocals on a bunch of Lindsey tracks. She doesn't really seem to want to commit any songs to Fleetwood Mac at this juncture. I believe Mick, Lindsey, and Stevie herself have all said as much in recent interviews. And no, I don't feel Without You is a Stevie song... it's an old Buckingham Nicks duet.

And he also mentioned the possibility of them working on a little more before the tour started, didn't he? I mean, I took it as just wishful thinking on Mick's part... but in reality Stevie has had plenty of time to throw a harmony part on a 3rd song of Lindsey's.

It's the only one who produces new Fleetwood Mac material. So without him there was only a retro-act. So if you want new FM, you'll have to adjust. Lindsey is trying to keep the band alive. Give him credit for at least that.

Absolutely agreed 100%. When it comes to Stevie these days, hearing the old demos reborn is quite something special. I still remember the first time I heard Moonlight and I was in absolute heaven.

This is such a weird little EP.....It's basically a Lindsey project with Stevie on background vocals. Even on "Without You," Stevie is just a background vocalist (at least that's they way it comes across live). I'm just so baffled as to why Stevie couldn't pull together ONE more song and record it before hitting the road.

Oh well, what are you gonna do? I do really like "Sad Angel" and "Without You" and will be purchasing the EP when (if) it comes out on Tuesday.....

I think it has less to do with her wanting studio involvement with the Mac and more with a combination of her mother's passing and not wanting to admit to In Your Dreams being a (I'm using this term loosely) 'failure.' I'm positive she wont resist the money and the success of a Mac album if one follows this tour.

Come on. Lindsey wrote specific Macsongs with her in mind and he recorded them with Mick and John, and they left space for her voice. ( NOT like the SYW tracks, which were solotracks that were opened for her to sing on. ) This is as Fleetwood Mac as one can get. If she contributed a song extra besides Without You it would have been a fullblown FM EP. I'm happy for ONE thing about this EP. Sad Angel and Without You are really duets, californian folkpopsongs. I'm thinking Lindsey tries to produce songs that are not specific his, But more based on the strength of what he and Stevie could be in 2013.

I'm hoping they'll be available at midnight (CST for me), so it would be 11pm here if they're going off the Eastern time zone. I just did some searching for particular tracks on iTunes that I had seen another member try, and nothing yielded.

Sad Angel - kinda whispery vocally, guitar sounds great. what a nice (kinda programmatic, Mac-wise) tune.

Without You - Guitar sounds great; but the vocals sound like people who have smoked way too much in the last 40 years... until it starts to sound warm (rather than sublimely pretty for which I had been hoping)

It Takes Time - O M G who the frack is playing piano????!!!! OMG OMG Is this Lindsey on piano as he had hinted previously??!!!! THIS IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG and then strings!!!!! This is the greatest thing I've ever heard (even though it has no melody; it's like a piano version of Time Precious Time except not annoying at all!!!!!!)!!!!!! Even the whisper vocals don't ruin it (it works like with When She Comes Down or whatever that song is)!!!!!!!

Miss Fantasy - If Law & Order had been a Mac album, it might have had a song like this. That's a compliment. Goofy and sweet.

Either through your account setup or at the very, very bottom of the main page of the iTunes store where there is a small button on the bottom right with the flag representing your location. Click on that and you can change it.

And it doesn't look like it's getting a UK release today! It's now 12.20 am and there's no sign of it. I hope the rest of Europe and the US definitely get it. I guess that means we'll have to wait until next Monday (the usual release date) if we're to get it. :shrug:
