Stevie made the list of "Rock Stars Aging Gracefully." I don't think they are in any type of order, but if they were she should've been number 1.

^^OMG! Any list that combines the words "aging gracefully" and "Keith Richards" is instantaneously discredited. In fact, I think all of them aged terribly except for Stevie, Rick Springfield, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar and David Bowie. I mean... Elton John?? WTF??

I don't like the "current" photo they selected. What a bad choice! Her face looks very pudgy! She looks much better in many other photos.

I have to check with my old photos to see if I'm Aging Gracefully.LOL...
Stevie never ages.
Thank for sharing.
Stevie's face in the current photo isn't so much pudgy, but rather simply "lifted". This is one of those shots where the surgery is apparent.
I didn't bother looking for the Rick Springfield photos, but he has had major cosmetic surgery and wears a hairpiece. Does that constitute ageing gracefully?

But in fairness, Keith looked pretty bent out of shape 20 years ago. So, I don't know if he's aged gracefully, but he hasn't aged a LOT since then.
It's like when the treads on your car tire are already gone, but you still get 10,000 more miles on them. Score!

I think Springfield looks awful.

I go back & forth on whether or not I think she's had a full lift. She's definitely had an eye lift, you can compare pics of her about 10 years ago with now & see the difference.

He looked dead 20 years ago; now he just looks like a dehydrated corpse/mummy.

I went to see Bon Jovi last night, Jon Bon Jovi is definitely looking really good, as is his statemate Bruce Springsteen (I think Springsteen is aging gracefully on the inside particularly, he never feels like a man trying to be young again even though youth is a significant part of his music, in a way). Joni Mitchell as well. Although I have to say I don't think there's anything wrong with looking your age, it's normal.
Stevie's good looks definitely look a bit artificial at this point, not that I judge her for it. It's good work as far as work goes.

Ok I'm new here and have enjoyed following all of your comments for some time. So I'm getting brave and adding my 2 cents. I think Stevie's comments about why she looks so good because she stays out of the sun since she was 30 is bs! She's had a total face lift, eye lift, lipo, you name it she probably has had it! I worked in a retirement resort and we had 2 groups, sun worshipers and ones who never saw the sun. Not much difference, yes the sun worshipers looked more weathered but the others just looked pale and pasty and OLD!!! I don't know if she has said she has never had plastic surgery, but who admits it anyway except Joan Rivers! And I'm sure Stevie doesn't want to be associated in that club!

Billy Joel, Sting, Pat Benatar, Debbie Harry, and a lot of these celebs have aged extremely well. But I think Stevie takes the cake!! A lot of these musicians are nasty now haha.. :sorry:

She said she had botox and her eyes watered for 3 months. Other than that she has never admitted to having anything else done (not to my knowledge).

Yeah, some of Huffpost's choices are downright laughable. The first one that came up when I clicked the link was Mick Jagger LOL...amazing talent, has looked aged for years, and gracefully is the last modifier I'd use for him as well as most people on the list. Stevie, however, looks great. She would never discuss plastic surgery publicly, but it definitely fits her often prima donna attitude and the importance of her image to her. I think it's very likely she has had a few facelifts, definitely before The Dance. A good example is probably the 2004 Live in Boston video for Gypsy, which gets very close to her face. It looks very tight, a tell-tale sign of a recent facelift---though not as stiff as Christine looked for The Dance. Just keep in mind that these people, entertainers, actors, A-listers, are in the public eye and feel the ridiculous burden of public expectation, of keeping the looks that made them famous and that their fans expect. I have no doubt that Stevie has had some surgical enhancements, but they have been done quite well without drawing attention (unlike her backup singer Sharon, for instance). Sometimes though it isn't until someone reaches their 70s when it becomes much more obvious that they've been having work done.

Agree on both counts. I love Sharon, but wouldn't you think she'd use the same dr Stevie uses when she can see how good the results are??

I think the guys have a better shot of holding up. The best thing about whatever work Stevie has had done is that it is subtle enough that she still looks like Stevie. Some people have work done and they no longer look like their old self.
Also have to add that Lindsey is looking amazing on this tour. He still seems to be in very good shape.

they ALL have payment plans and work with you on financing.
And if you are connected to (famous) people who might be at some point thinking of having work done themselves, they are more motivated to be flexible. (Sharon knows more people than Stevie in the biz, famous ones and not famous ones).
Just saying, her results are unfortunate.

Exactly. If their definition of "aging gracefully" means aging without the obvious help of plastic surgery and other aids then so many of these people should be off the list. Also, Billy Idol has had uber plastic surgery and has acquired what looks to be dentures. Hmmmm....
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Iggy Pop, etc. look like death warmed over. Not too graceful at all.

i actually love how they look. life so obviously lived, not glossed over with plastic surgery (although maybe some extra hair...). looking great and sexy as far as i'm concerned, especially Mick and Iggy.
but unfortunately there is a double standard and a woman looking that way would not nearly be as admired. :distress:
i did love seeing Sound City doc on a big screen and picking out looks too - it seemed sooooo obvious who had and had not have some (or a lot!) of work done.

Considering her lifestyle, Stevie has aged extremely well. She's obviously had work done, but whoever her surgeon is has done a good job.
From that list, the only ones I agree with (besides Stevie) are Benatar, Springsteen, Sting, Bon Jovi, and Bowie.

Oh please. I'm really sick and tired of that whole politically-correct mindset about embracing aging and loving ones gray hair, wrinkles and drooping body parts. Phooey! Yes, a little "weathering" can look good on some people. But by and large, getting old sucks donkey balls for most people. When I see people who look prematurely old, I don't automatically assume a life well lived. I assume a life of gluttony, carelessness, and apathy, i.e., they've given up on life. That is not to say that I am a fan of aggressive plastic surgery. But I think it's perfectly fine to get a tune up here and there once the odometer passes a certain number.

A few weeks ago my husband and I attended a Fleetwood Mac concert.
It was like lunchtime at my high school only 35 years later. Everyone was in different stages of decay.
In high school, we drank beer. For some it was a varsity sport but we’re mature now. At the concert it was clear we still took drinking seriously but the concerns we had were different. None of us had to worry about being grounded; we were concerned about other, more serious things. Like carbs and calories.
In one corner, just like high school, were the Italian girls. Big hair, big personalities, big laughs, big…..well, you get the picture. Back then, these girls had hot boyfriends named Sal and/or Ronny and it was clear they STILL thought their Ronnys and Sals were hot.
I can picture them smushed up against lockers in full kissing mode every chance they could get. Now? Most of us are just smushed into our pants but we still know how to have a good time.
Ronny and Sal and that group were present too. Although not so hot anymore there wasn’t much that had changed. They still loved their muscle T-shirts and their tans, and of course, they still liked to drink.
I loved hanging around the Italian boys in high school…they could crack me up like nobody else on the planet, but my mother had other plans for me which didn’t include boys of any kind.
“But what do you like about him?” she would ask? “His Chevelle,” I replied. Another two weeks locked in my room.
The jocks were at the concert too and still hanging together from what I could tell. They were popular in high school and liked cheerleaders. I was a cheerleader (don’t hold this against me, please) but I was usually locked away in my closet by my mother so nobody was searching for me to smush against a locker.
From the looks of them they hadn’t run on a football field or otherwise in 30 years and I’m guessing they still liked their sneakers but not so much to work out. More to help with their aging knees which I’m guessing many of us could relate to.
The smart crowd was there. Huddled together now as doctors, tax accountants, lawyers and definitely dressed for success even at a concert. 35 years later, they looked good. This group did NOT look good in high school. Back then they wore glasses, had pens in their shirt pockets, took AP calculus, statistics, and carried really large backpacks.
They had homework which they finished and it had paid off. They weren’t locking lips with anyone in high school. It was absolutely revenge of the nerds.
As for me, I was an Italian girl with a double life and I floated between all groups. There was the life I wanted to lead and the life my mother insisted on. I would leave the house dressed like Marcia Brady but change in a friend’s car and emerge as Tina from Tony and Tina’s Wedding.
Sometimes I would forget to change back into Marcia Brady. That was a problem. Now, thankfully, I can go and come back as the same person.
My mother always said watching me raise a girl would be the best revenge. I hate when she’s right.
Not too many high-heels at this concert. Tight pants but only because we had gained weight and forget about short shirts, short skirts. No sir – none of that. As a matter of fact, based on the ages at this concert when I went to the ladies room I expected to see Depends in the dispenser.
And just like in high school, the different groups were eyeing each other up. The Ronnys and Sals were looking at me which didn’t sit well with their wives/girlfriends. We all hated the dates of the smart crowd because they looked much too good.
“Well, she certainly paid for those perky things”, I heard on more than one occasion.
The Italian girls were looking a little too lustily after the jocks which didn’t sit well with their Ronnys and Sals. Oh boy, here we go I thought, a fist fight in the balcony, just like in high school only then it took place near the flagpole.
And then Stevie Nicks came on stage. All 60 plus years of her with long blond hair, black boots, black fringe and that amazing voice and we all just stopped and listened….and sang….together, as the class of 1970 something. And when we all sang “Landslide” it didn’t matter one bit what you looked like now or 35 years ago.
“Well time makes you bolder
“Children get older
“I’m getting older too.”
She was amazing.
So are we.

Did those come from that recent article with Dave Grohl? Those pics are pretty fantastic
I was just a few feet from Stevie when she was here for the SXSW Festival a few months ago. I can definitively say those above photos are accurate of the way she looks up close. She's quite stunning. I think she looks better at 65 than she did at 35, 45, or 55.

I think she is beautiful at any age louie, but I agree that maturity has served her well. I think her beauty is like wine. She has gotten so much better with age.
