Announcing a second show with a Q & A, after the fact, just makes people who bought tickets for the first show angry. Honestly. At least the tickets aren't that expensive, but goodness.

So true. But if it supports the theater, I'm good with the second show. So many independent theaters are shutting down because fewer people are going out to the movies these days.

 actually since i was told loud and clear by numerous people that i should never step in SN forum, i almost didn't post this... but then decided i was not going to stoop down to their level, and there are many others who would like to have this info.
Just bought tix for second showing too. :)
 i would do the same if it was LB. i hope you all have a great time, and get some of your questions answered at one or the other q&a.
now a question - since this will be 2 days before 4/2 showings, can someone tell us after they see the movie how much or little LB is in it (is it still just one SA scene like during original showings?), since he's all over that trailer. it will be playing in a theater really close to me and i'm trying to decide whether or not to go see it in the movies on 4/2.

Thanks for letting us know about this second screening, Elle. I almost didn't buy tickets for the second one, but then decided I'd probably kick myself the day of if I hadn't. I mean, why not? It's cheap enough.

The way this is shaping up, it is very good that the seats are assigned, as someone gratefully mentioned earlier.
I just hope that since the shows are just 30 minutes apart, that the people leaving the first one don't have trouble gaining entry into the 2nd one, which will already be well underway by that time. Hopefully, the ushers/security will realize that many people are attending both and will have no trouble accommodating them.

The seats are assigned, so if you have tickets then the seats should be saved for you, regardless of when you arrive.
Plus, I called the theater today to ask if there was indeed TWO Q & A's (not just one after both showings). The person I talked to confirmed that there will be two. I mentioned that I wanted to know because I had tickets for both screenings so I could attend both Q & A's and she was like, "ok". I'm sure if it was an issue she'd have said something.
Besides, the Stevie Nicks Army is coming and taking over that theater whether they like it or not!! :D

What I find confusing is the 30 min. difference between the two showings. How can she find time to do 2 Q&A's after these are done showing? Does that mean the 1st Q&A will only be 30 min long and the 2nd one(well it's a worthless thing so take it all the way back home. Take it home)will be longer? And if you are attending both showings, doesn't this mean you will miss the first 35 min. of the second showing?

Yes, but if you get to see Stevie both times, I supposed you're just reconciled to only seeing the movie once.
Definitely, I think the first Q & A will be a little rushed.

The Landmark added an 8PM show on the 31st. Tix still available. She will ONLY be introducing the 8:00 show, No Q & A afterwards. Does anyone know if you can pic up tickets the day of? I know it's Easter so maybe their hours will be different that day? Tried calling no answer. Official site says release of doc on April 2nd. Sorry if it's old news.

When you buy your tickets online you should be able to print out a confirmation, which is essentially your ticket. Then when you get there you may have to turn that in for actual tickets, but Im not sure yet. The important part is printing and bringing the confirmation with you.

Today's the day! :blob2:
I think I can safely say this will be one of, if the not the best, Easter's for me. First we are spending time with the family for a few hours then it's off to LA to see our "Stevie Family"!
I plan to take some notes from the Q&A's. I'm going to try to get some video too, but it may be difficult because I'm in the first few rows at both screenings. I'm sure someone will if I don't. So if anyone here is going and sitting towards the back, bring your video camera! Flip cameras work great if you have one. Small, inconspicuous, and easy to operate.
I have to work tomorrow and will be getting home late tonight. Then tuesday night I'm going to the local screening here in San Diego. So I'll have a review maybe later in the week.
Happy Easter!!

I hope you all have a blast. Am a little bummed that airfare didn't come down to a reasonable price. I gave my ticket to my friend Bill. He'll be taking me in spirit. lol. Some of the ledgies I know and met at the Wiltern might remember Bill, so stop by and say hi to him (Seat C9~near Kim if I'm not mistaken)
I believe that w/ the 2nd show starting at 7:30, Stevie has the length of the movie to stay and answer 7pm screenings before she has to go over to the 2nd q&a. Plenty of time. I am also hoping that some how or another you smart, fast ledgies find your way over to that 2nd q&a. lol To think I am missing her not once, but twice in same locale, same day bums me out just a little...ok, a lot! Atleast Porltand got added to the roster of showings, so I'll have that 4/7. Have fun, and Happy Easter to you all!!

I asked her which character on Game of Thones she identifies with the most and she said Khaleesi, and sometimes Dracara(sp?) (one of the baby dragons). I said I didn't realize they had names yet and she said, oh yes.
There's more to this, including a dragon noise she made at me. I have it on video but I'm at work now so I'll upload tonight.

A fan asked about the fan submissions being used on a possible dvd release of IYD and Stevie said that yes, they would be edited and included in that. She said there just wasnt time to include them all in this 100 minute movie.
Good news, right?
There was more Wiltern footage than I expected, which is cool because I'll definitely be able to still pause it and find myself in the 4th row. :D

She's such a character. I just hope everyone knew about the affairs at the time, because if they didn't even if they're divorced from the people they were married to then, hurt feelings can still arise. Ex-wives and grown children with kids of their own won't like learning that Stevie had an affair with daddy in the seventies, if they didn't know it already.

Yeah, I was kind of shocked that she was so to-the-point about the whole thing. When the question got asked I was expecting the typical vague response like, "I was in a relationship and it was doomed and it fell apart and I was sad" lol. But she went full out.

Hey, if this keeps up we will get the full Rupert Hines story any day now. A fan will ask her, "Yo, what's up with the whole 'we could never be together for reasons having nothing to do with love,' scenario?" And she will just tell everything, drop it like it's hot.

Here's my video of the first Q&A. It's a bit shaky at times, but overall good. I was in the 4th row. I gave the camera to my girlfriend to hold when I stood to ask my question, which is why it gets a little shaky there. My question is at 11:38. I wish I could somehow isolate that dragon noise she makes and use it as my ringtone. :D Stevie is definitely a funny chick. I love that about her.
I am currently uploading the second Q&A and will post that as soon as I can. I'm going to the local screeening tonight in San Diego after work so it'll likely be late tonight or tomorrow am.

the interweb says that Derek Taylor died in 1997 at age 65. Maybe that factored into her decision to speak about it?

Yeah I could see why she's ok to talk about it since he's long gone. But he does have a widow (whom he was married to during the Stevie affair and until his death), and 6 children with her. So I don't know if it was that cool to tell the world she banged their dad. But hey, it's Stevie.

By the way, in my all-time favorite live boot of Landslide, the dedication was "Beautiful Child, where ever you are... This is for you." Which means she had dedicated it to Derek Taylor, and the affair was going on in September of 1977.
Which confused me. Because I thought that Stevie and Mick started their affair in November of 1977 (during the Aus/NZ part of Rumours tour). But when she started the affair with Mick, she was currently dating Paul Fishkin. So either she only dated Paul for only 2 months at most before the Mick affair. Or she was with Paul when she was doing Derek, too.

well, remember Stevie recently said during that whole Twilight drama where Kristen what's-her-name slept with her director and then begged forgiveness from her boyfriend/costar, that she herself had been in similar situations (cheating on someone she was in a relationship with) and each time it happened she had been forgiven for her indiscretions.....so people should just get over it, stuff happens, etc etc.... so.....there ya go
edited to add: Your comment on the timeline triggered my memory so I dug out an interview Stevie did with People magazine published in their Dec 26 1978-Jan 2 1979 year end issue in which it states:
Throughout the year Stevie has kept a tenacious hold on reality. The trauma of Mac's romantic roundelays has passed. Stevie and Lindsey have split, Christine and John Mc Vie are divorcing. Fleetwood and his civilian wife, Jenny, are back together again. Stevie, determined to have "no half-assed careers and no half-assed relationships" is making night moves with New Yorker Paul Fishkin, head of Bearsville Records. "It's not easy to be involved with a lady singer who's always gone," Nicks says. "Paul is sweet and wonderful and understands as well as anyone. I'm not interested in playing around, but I do get terribly lonely on the road." After Mac's tour of Australia and Japan ends this month, Stevie will head for her retreat in the Hollywood Hills, where she's "housemother" for her younger brother and three friends. "They let me know I'm not a queen and have no expectations of seeing me go up the front stairway on a broom," Stevie says thankfully. "Rock is flash-- the rest of my life I want to be normal."

Very true. She definitely cheated on Paul with Mick, so I wouldn't be surprised if she cheated on Paul with Derek as well. Unfortunate for Paul lol. And it doesn't help that both men are married. Then there was all the drama of the Joe Walsh / Dave Stewart thing. I'm not clear on exactly how it went down. But as far as I remember, she was still off and on dating Joe (who she had fought with the night before), but she was living at her ex's Jimmy Iovine's(?). Then she bangs Dave Stewart (twice according to him  ). And Joe comes back around in the morning, so she kicks out Dave and tells Joe "don't come around here no more."
As I said, the woman's love life is a never ending soap opera. All we need now is the full story on Rupert

It was one thing just to be able to hear it(the podcast) but it was totally more enjoyable to hear and see this. Thank you for posting, Jamie and I'm glad you had such a good time and got to ask a question.

the interweb says that Derek Taylor died in 1997 at age 65. Maybe that factored into her decision to speak about it?
I suspect many of these men (given the biz they are in, given the times) didn't just have affairs with Stevie....
Yes, but even when you know your husband is promiscuous, sometimes the timing can still hurt you. You're like, "I know he sleeps around, but he did it in December 1978?? I was 9 months pregnant then. Or I was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer then. Or that was right after we renewed our wedding problems and he promised to change."
Of course, when the family knows about the affair already (like Jenny did) talking about it is no big deal.

that an interesting one the dragons names are
Viserion, Rhaegal and Drogon
You're right - Stevie was wrong.
I just figured this out. I googled "Dracarus" (actually spelled "Dracarys") and it means "dragonfire". So when Khaleesi said, "Dracarys!" and the dragon breathed fire, she was actually just giving the dragon a command. That said dragon is named "Drogon".
I can see why Stevie thought that Dracarys was the dragon's actual name. Next time I see Stevie I will let her know what the real name is. ;)

Jamie, was that you at the very end who said, "alright Stevie!?"
She confirmed with the last question that the song New Orleans will not be performed with FM at the NO Jazz Festival.
Thank you for posting. I just watched it today.

I wish someone could post the Q & A from Toronto so I could enjoy that too. I should look for it on youtube but haven't yet. Anyone want to do the leg work for old Viv here?

I loved this Q & A like I have loved all of her movie Q & A sessions. My favorite part of this one was her reflections on her mother's life, of what she knows about her mom and what she will never know. It was very touching. Thank you very much for posting this for me.

I will go to another screening as long as the date dont clash with the two FM shows in June.
I'll rather go see the real thing then a film of her on screen.
I would drop any other concert for the screening.
Thanks ragrsrocalot for the video.

thank you ragrsrocalot so much for posting this video. it was so good and stevie is so darn funny she just cracks me up! i got tears in my eye though when she was talking about her mother. it really made me think about how i need to talk to my own mother more often and make time to do things with her because you just never know what is going to happen.
lol if stevie ever did a 1 woman show like that i would love it!!

So 300,000 units for IYD, not bad for a legacy artist in a low-album sales era!
