Has anyone ever intruduced her to Billy Joel, Barry Manilow, etc.?
They are talented inger/songwriters, extraodinary performers and baby boomers close in age.
Just wondering.

Barry Manilow.
Seriously, though. Let's assume Manilow isn't gay. Is there anything about his personality that would suggest Stevie as a good match for him?

One thing i've noticed about Stevie is when she is dating somebody, nobody knows it. I remember her mentioning she had a 1 year relationship with a guy half her age during The Dance. And another guy in the early 2000's when the Dixie Chicks covered Landslide and he was so jealous of the huge check from it, that they broke up. She also mentioned in the early 2000's how she recently dated an ex of hers. So there's 3 different relationships right there that we now know happened, yet during all of those years she maintained that she was single. And even though now that we know they happened, we still don't know who these people even were.
Stevie obviously does not like the public to know her private life. And she's pretty good at keeping it under wraps evidently.

Matchmaker Matchmaker make me a match . . . when I think of Barry Manilow, I never thought of Stevie as the catch. But maybe you're on to something. Get away from the Lindsey, Don, Joe types . . . how about Barry with Stevie?
Both like dogs
Both play the piano (one plays quite well)
Both are friends of Bette Midler (maybe she can help out in this matchmaking)
Both like to dress up on stage
Stevie wrote: Smile At You; Barry wrote: I Can’t Smile Without You
Stevie played in Vegas; Barry played in Vegas
Stevie wrote: Outside The Rain; Barry wrote: I Made It Through The Rain
Stevie recorded some Christmas Songs; Barry recorded some Christmas Songs.
Barry wrote the jingle I Am Stuck On Bandaids. Stevie once wore a bandaid.
Barry appeared on Oprah; Stevie appeared on Oprah (maybe OPRAH can hook them up)
Barry had a hip replacement; Stevie had hip pain.
Barry wrote: I Write The Songs That The Whole World Sings; Stevie wrote Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For YOU
Barry wrecked his RangeRover in a car crash; Stevie crashed a friend’s car.
Both donated large amounts of money to Hurricane Katrina relief funds. (they are generous people)
Who knows. ;)

That's the funniest one.
It tickles me because I just read an article going over the comparisons between JFK and Abraham Lincoln today and they debunked some of the urban myths (like there's no evidence that Lincoln really had a secretary named Kennedy).
I bet you could take any two people and link up the similarities in their lives quite convincingly.

Yeah, but didn't he just have some drunken driving incident? She doesn't need anyone with substance abuse problems in her life.
Other than that, he does look like someone Stevie could go for.
As far as General Hospital singers/actors go, I kind of missed Rick. I was there for Jack Wagner though.

Maybe those former love interests didn't want to be in the limelight and Stevie was just respecting their wishes.

Billy Joel would be a great tour partner for Stevie to be with, I think.
He's not loungey like Rod Stewart. He's a musician with great passion. I think she'd really put on a good show with him, if they shared a couple of songs together.

Yes, I remember reading things, like about his car accident. But I don't think about anything romantic. Just a tour would be great. I think he's a better partner than Don Henley (even though Don's music may be more similar to Stevie's) and certainly better than Rod.

Actually... Barry did not write that song. Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys wrote that. He won the Grammy for Song (or record) of the Year for it as well because of Barry making it a hit.<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-Hz16lpf4ds" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I've heard Stevie has been married for a while but obviously keeps it a secret for career purposes and because she likes her private life private

Daryl Hall would be a cool choice. I am watching Live from Daryl's Place right now where he has other musicians come in a sing with him. Even if Stevie could just be on his show and perform with him.

I think he was a waighter or sometging, and Stevie said she ended the relationship when she realized that the age difference was too big. Basically she said it could never work out if she was in hers 60s, and he was in his 40s.

Definitely not a 'rumour'. Stevie's the one who mentioned it. She said she was 49 and he was 29 at the time. And apparently they dated for a year until she broke up with him.

Do we have any more information to share on this mystery man?? Perhaps pictures? Does she mention it in an interview?? I'm sorry for all these questions, I've never heard this before

I've always wanted to know who she was singing about in Sweet Girl... which guy was the one who said he'd waited all his life for her?
And who's the guy in the song You're Not the One (which she wrote but Sheryl Crow recorded)
