Hey Everybody,
I am looking to buy single ticket for the Philly show in April. If anybody is looking to sell, please let me know.
Thanks :)

Hope you don't mind me jumping on. But if anyone has TWO tickets for Philly...PM me.

Apparently due to a "glitch" in the online ticketing system, I now do not have tickets for the Philadelphia show at the Wells Fargo center.

As this has never happened to me before, does anyone know if seats tend to get released week of/day of the actual show?

I'm trying to decide if I should grab some now to ease my mind (wickedly insane prices online), or wait it out and hope for some to still get released....

Thanks!

In 2009, tickets in the first 10 rows were released 2 weeks before the show. As for 2013, no one is buying those insanely priced Platinum tickets-one would hope they go back into the ticket pool the day of the show.

I haven't bought any tickets yet. I'm hoping day of show, which I've never done. This Philly show is the most expensive I've ever seen.:distress:

Thanks! I feel a bit better now. I have never run into this in my life. I will try closer to the show. Was hoping they'd hit something in Atlantic City, but doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Maybe we'll all get lucky and get great seats!

I hope a AC show pops up there.I love going down there.Probably in the Boardwalk Hall where they played in 2009.

How horrible. I actually bought my only ticket (so far) for Philly...through Mick's VIP thing (not the huge private plane one, just the regular--show up early and grovel at my feet one).

But, I've been to Philly quite a few times and, yes, they tend to release really good seats the closer you get to the show. Start looking every day...with multiple searches. That's how I usually get them. But, I'm a pitbull when it comes to buying tickets. I have been known to compulsively search 50 times a day. I think I was just tired of the idea and paid the extortion money to Mick instead;-)

Wow I thought the Jones Beach tix were the highest.

Skip, I believe the tickets for MSG are the highest in price.

The Comcasttix ticket deity must have heard me-the Platinum seats for Philly have gone down in price.

There are at least 50 Platinum tickets in the first 5 rows...I'll be checking every day till April 6th.

Holy cats said the kitty.Look at those tix prices.

All tix should be under $125.Thats nuts for those high prices.Maybe the fans should start boycotting concerts. Also you got to add the BS service charges on top of those inflated prices. That wont happen with me with FM and Stevie shows.

I guess the promoters will take a good chunk out of take plus the venue takes their cut for using it. The crew will take their cut for setting up the equipment and carting off.fuel for the trucking to each show and it goes on.At the end they probably divide in 4 whats left for Mick,Stevie,Lindsey and John.

I live in the Philadelphia area and am going through the same thing. I even know somebody at 102.9 WMGK (classic rock station) and even they weren't given any tickets or meet-and-greet passes. The ticket prices are crazy. I guess I am going to wait as well. I would rather have bad seats than pay those crazty prices.

Well . . . in a matter of speaking. Lots of tickets were purchased by secondary ticket agents. Scalpers, so to speak. There's plenty of seats available.

Not sold out by a long shot...there are plenty of unsold tickets in the first 7 rows and close side sections; just waiting for them to go back into the $149.50 pool.

there is no way the show is sold out, but comcasttix is definitely not offering or showing any available. Something is going on. ????

I live just outside of Philly, and this is so far the only show I could make. There is only one problem.....I do not have a ticket. I've never really been in this camp before! But pre-sales are now a joke, and even buying legit thru Comcast or TicketDisaster, or what have you is no longer what it used to be. I just told off some idiot who tried to sell me tix at an incredibly inflated price. I told him what they originally cost; he said I was wrong. He also said he bought 50 tickets and is now trying to make a little profit, and asked what is wrong with that. I said it's people like him that make real fans like me unable to get GOOD tickets. And good luck trying to make sure he isn't stuck with them at the price he is asking. He said I should have bought them from Comcast when I had the chance, and I said "but how? When you and people like you buy 50 at a time in order to make a profit later??" I was steaming mad.

Eugene mentioned that these tickets WILL be released back into the $150ish pool. But if they have been bought up buy scalpers etc., how does that work...do the scalpers give them back or something? I know nada about this stuff, all I know is I am getting anxious. I have to buy a ticket for myself AND the person going with me, and I can't afford to spend $600+ for that.

Who here PLANS on going to this show? We should do a roll call. I've been away from The Ledge for a while. I tend to drift in and out as the bigger events and news fluctuate, LOL. ;)

Abbs, you need to clear out your PM box.

I've been monitoring the platinum ticket sales for weeks. There are at least 50 tickets in the first 7 rows. As soon as the platinum listing disappears, I will be more than happy to buy 3 rather than 2, or I can just let you know. Your choice.

AbbiJoy78
03-13-2013, 01:19 PM
haha, you can tell I haven't been on here by my PM box, which should have room now:thumbsup:

Thanks Eugene for the offer, where do you check to see what's going on with the Platinum seats. And to save me some research, what IS a platinum seat? I know there are the Mick Meet n Greet seats, but what does this mean...is it just what Comcast is calling certain areas?

Lee
03-13-2013, 01:36 PM
Yeah, I keep checking every day, too, & I think Stub Hub & the Wells Fargo Center have a thing going on so no one can buy them @ the regular price, but @ the inflated price. I won't be broken-hearted if I can't get go though because I'm not going to overpay for tickets. The first couple of days, I tried calling the Wells Fargo Center for tickets, & they never picked up their phone. I haven't tried calling lately, but something tells me that they still won't pick up their phone.

Yes, certain areas. If you read this whole thread, you'll see where the prices started and where they are now. Oh, and check your PM's.

So, a few days ago when I checked Platinum seating, there seamed to be a good many available in several different price points and rows. Today a random search thru some rows shows that "there are no available seats at this price point" or whatever it says that is similar. This scares me because I am wondering if more brokers/ticket agents/greedy sellers are snatching them up only to turn them around on eBay or StubHub or what have you for a quadruply inflated price. It's making me wonder what will really be left when the time comes to pull the trigger for us! :distress:

Abbs, I find it very difficult to believe a scalper is going to risk paying almost $600 for a front row seat, hoping to resell it and making a profit. Scalpers/speculators live by one rule..."buy low, sell high".

You aren't serious, right? I've seen quite a few of premium tickets for sale on line & not just on Stub Hub.
