Looking at these dates it seems as if there is space to add an extra show in Dublin and a few in London based on how well the 1st lot of tickets go this Friday....

That is what I am hoping for too. They played 2 shows in Dublin in 09 and they would definitely be able to sell more in London.
I regret only going to one show in Dublin the last time but have already made up my mind that if another date comes up im going to both.
Oh and just to add that it is my first day of my 2nd semester of my final yr of University and the release of dates just made it the best day ever!!! So excited guys for any other fellow irish fans!!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:. I was having the ****tiest week ever, and now i feel like i could go through anything.
Though, i know there are no French fans here, but i'm really worried about Bercy. There is no way this will be sold out. Can they cancel a show if it doesn't sell enough? That can't happen, right?

I'm sure they'll add more Dublin and London dates.
There is a such a buzz about them at the moment (far more so than 2003 and 2009) that I can see them easily selling out Dublin and London three or four times.

So tickets were on sale at 10:00 this morning. You get to sit in the first 20 rows for 90 euros. By 10:03, there were no more tickets for these rows. I swear i couldn't believe it! I'm happy i didn't go to Uni or i wouldn't have had those 9 row tickets. I wanted to be closer but unless i paid 425 dollars, there was no way.

I'm greatly saddened that my fellow Ledgies and the average fan are paying such ridiculous prices to see a band perform music. We should have collectively given them the middle finger. Not just FM but all live acts that want to rape us of our hard earned money. For those prices we should get a different show every night. They should set up a ten show arc where if you go see them 10 night's in a row you will have a completely different show. THAT would be worth the price of admission and then they could play all the songs from their back catalogue in addition to the tired hits they have to play.

I completely agree, but i can't even imagine how i'd feel the night they'd play in France if i didn't go. When they revealed the prices yesterday, i was completely depressed because i wanted to bring my family and friends with me, and we all planned to go to the concert together and have a great evening. Now i'm just going with my sister. I saw them 3 years ago, front row (well, i was standing but i prefer that anyway), for only 45 euros. I have no idea what the hell happened since then and i'm not pleased at all.

I couldn't agree more...sorry Mick, not going to pay that much to see you guys, and gal, but still love ya!
That said, I will pay a few bucks to hear some new music if we ever get that new album. But live, the band is well past their prime and without our beloved Christine, no amount of backing musicians is going to bridge the gap.

Tickets to see British/American rock band Fleetwood Mac on tour in the UK this autumn sold out this morning in just minutes.
Despite controversy over prices, fans have snapped up tickets, leaving those with enough cash looking to buy theirs on resale ticket sites like Mirror Tickets.
Tickets are still available on resale sites, if you are prepared to fork out more than face value.

I'm wondering how many actual FANS bought these tickets as opposed to
brokers and for resale at ridiculously outrageous amounts on Ebay?
Just because they SOLD OUT, doesn't mean actual fans are getting these tickets, I'd imagine.
Although, it does seem as though this tour is more popular overseas, so who knows.

Yes, on the official "Bercy" site it says there are no more tickets for the first 20 rows but then i found like 60 of those seats for 300 to 500 euros each. Ridiculous and also sad because i could have gotten closer i'm sure :(

Don't curse in Church, Christy. You belong there.Buy a ticket. And get your ass over there. Let's be fair. Whatever commercial monster they are, this band deserves a hype every ten or fifteen years. yup, you just know it that if these sold out within minutes and people had trouble getting in that it's scalpers who picked up most of these.
i've seen that happening a lot with some of the hot shows in my area. i've been to "sold out" shows where half of the front was empty b/c scalpers wouldn't lower the price and ended up not selling what they had.

exactly! and same with LB for Saban - he has not performed live with his band since 2008, and with a few weeks of rehearsals they played 2+ hrs with 6 songs that were never before heard in 2011.
so they can do it!!
i'm so tired of all these low expectations from ultrafans. if we don't expect anything why would they need to make an effort?? we expect just 2 different songs than usual????? why would one even go then and pay $100-$200 dollars for all songs already heard before??
at least i can say that i've never been to a FM concert before. but as we have discussed in numerous other threads (if anyone would bother to look!), i expect between 12 and 14 songs that can be called hits / classic part of the set, and about 10 differences listed here:
3 new songs (Angel, Fantasy, Without You)
1 BN song
1 SN solo song from IYD (and no SB)
1 LB solo song from SWS (and no GI)
2-3 deep cuts from SN
2-3 deep cuts from LB
see all these threads for people throwing in some really nice and/or interesting suggestions or voting on which song they'd like to hear:

We do expect them to but we have always been let down by our expectations. I'll never forget Stevie's promise of a whole new show with all new outfits and different songs to be performed for her Vegas stint in 2005. After booking flight and hotel to be at the show and get the SAME tired set list with the ONLY change being videos played on a screen behind her.
Like I said before, I hope they do something new and different and if they do then I will go see them play. But I'm waiting for the first few shows to see what they will do before I fork over several months rent to see my favorite band.

i'm so tired of all these low expectations from ultrafans.
I think high expectations are unrealistic. At that point, they aren't expectations, they're fantasies. It's not a question of not wanting more, it's a question of knowing the band and what they're prepared to do and using common sense. I don't see the problem with the fans and their predictions. The problem is with the players. If they surprise us, great. But I don't see the point in building pipe dreams either.

but why drum up those predictions over and over and over and over and over and over.............
i like fantasies
and i like pushing people to do their best, not resigning that they'll do their worst. and i'm really happy about how many people put in some suggestions what they would LIKE to hear in some of the threads i linked above, especially about that thread about 3 deep cuts from each songwriter. what's wrong with that instead of resigning repeats of the same sentence everywhere you go?
yes i and so many others were pushing Lindsey to do more than the same setlist every night... and sometimes we were successful! he actually didn't even need that much of a push, especially not for Rock Away Blind... but he needed some push.
and people on SN board were complaining for ages that she's giving them the same ole setlist for 10 years... and all of the sudden she changed the setlist at Wiltern, got great reaction and followed that up with the similar setlist on her solo tour... so it is possible. maybe not probable but possible for sure.

Fine, push the band to do their best, but why criticize others who have been pushing them for 30 years and feel pessimistic? I don't see ultrafans having low expectations as what has been holding Fleetwood Mac back.

i like to push EVERYBODY and pushing people i can actually talk to kinda works better ;) - you get reactions, just like this push-back from you now. not everybody here has been following the band for 30 years and had multiple disappointments. there are 17 year old kids and 20-somethings here. why would they need to be held back in expressing what they want to hear b/c it seems to be the cool thing here to express low expectations and pessimism?

isn't people saying over and over that they expect to hear full band Big Love and dropping of ISA, Rhiannon, Landslide or Don't Stop just as unrealistic?

I think it's more in keeping with what the band will do. But so what if it's unrealistic. Why knock it? You can hope for what you want and others can think it's unlikely without one side railing at the other's low expectations or them saying they're fed up with your high ones.

I don't think anyone is holding them back. I think people who feel repressed or discouraged by someone else's differing opinion probably shouldn't hang around a public forum where people have different opinions. I mean, people say all the time things like, "oh, I get tired of all the criticism of Stevie's head gear. Everyone is such a debbie downer." I mean, if things like that get you down, you just shouldn't be reading a variety of opinions anyway.

so... I was at O2 World in Berlin in October 2009 to see Fleetwood Mac ... and I´ll be at O2 World in Berlin in October 2013 to see Fleetwood Mac... I hope there will be something different :D... I ordered a ticket in the very place in the middle down there in front ot the stage... not sure which row, but I hope it will be very near... I hope I´ll get something through our very good post service :D it wasn´t cheap...
So Fleetwood Mac live again, for the second time in my life... can´t believe it:]
I just wish Christine would tour with them again... well I hope at least London fans will see her on stage saying hello at least :D.
I saw the new photos of her and Mick, and Rick Vito, she really looks good, who could say she looks like almost 70 years old... the resting maybe helps :)

That reminds me, we have always had a 5 year question about Mick's true age and even Lindsey teased him about it one time on stage saying, "which is it?" But if i was him, I wouldn't bother pointing out I was 65 and not 70 if I didn't LOOK it.

sometimes it's hard to realistically assess how old you look though. Mick looks really good these days imo, much better than he looked in 70s and 80s.

are you trying to shoo me off of here Michele?:wavey:
I know you have many public forums from which to choose.
I was also thinking about positive v. negative reinforcement. During the break between the first and second legs of the SYW legs, Mick knew that fans wanted to hear more new songs and he said that he himself was pushing for SOTM, but he didn't think it was going to happen. So, they knew then and always knew that focused fans wanted change. But i think they also realized that they would always have focused fans and didn't feel much of a need to please them.
But listening to Stevie this year, it sounds like feedback she got from people about the Unleashed tour being formulaic kind of stuck with her and she wanted to shake it up after that to show that she could. It seemed to me that maybe hearing people say, "you guys just do the same thing over and over again" lit more of a fire under her and made her want to prove critics wrong. And the negativity came closer to sparking a change (or at least talking about sparking one) than anything else had.
sometimes it's hard to realistically assess how old you look though. Mick looks really good these days imo, much better than he looked in 70s and 80s.
Yes, we don't have the objectivity to judge our own looks. You know, we had been discussing HAHTF and thinking of that era of Mick and (shudder) the album cover, I would say that to me he was an unattractive young man. As an older man, I might even consider him handsome, if he didn't have that pot belly. The gray ponytail has a distinguished air, a certain flair. And I was always drawn to his accent and speaking voice. I don't think he looks youthful, but I don't find him unattractive now. I have found him ugly in past incarnations, though.

I agree with all of this. When he was young he was too thin and his pecker was always protruding through his jeans which I found quite nauseating because he was so unattractive.

yup - we seem to be really good in providing both parts of the spectrum here so whatever works

Fleetwood Mac's loyal fans who registered on a ticket pre-sales site are furious after being offered only single seats for their Glasgow gig.
The band line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham will be among the first to grace the stage at new city venue The Hydro this autumn with their Rumours 35th anniversary tour.
Fans who had registered with the Hydro website were on Wednesday given an early chance to get their hands on tickets but the pre-sale allocation quickly ran out.
Another pre-sale, held yesterday for people who had signed up to distributor Ticket Soup's website, also saw the second allocation quickly snapped up as keen fans swooped.
Now anyone still chasing much-sought-after tickets will have to hope they are lucky in the public sale which began this morning.
One disgruntled music lover from Glasgow, said: "I am signed up to thehydro.com and I had hoped to be able to get a pair of tickets in the pre- sale on Wednesday but all that was available was single seats - I am really disappointed.
"I thought that with a venue that has a 12,000 capacity and with such a high profile concert I would have been in with a good chance of landing them."
Tickets for the concert, to be staged on October 3, range in price from £45 to £125.
The SECC confirmed that a certain amount were allocated to the pre-sales and some held back for today's general release but they would not confirm how many were up for grabs on each day.
A spokeswoman said demand for tickets had been "very strong"
She added: "There were two pre sales – on Wednesday and Thursday – and a general release today.
"The pre-sales were well advertised on our website."
Fleetwood Mac last toured the UK in 2009 with the sold-out Unleashed Tour.
New venue the Hydro is due to open in September and the showcase event will have a Commonwealth Games theme to reflect the sports extravaganza which will get under way in Glasgow in the summer of next year.
The £120m bowl-shaped arena has also attracted names such as Peter Gabriel, JLS and Miranda Hart among early bookings.

^So, that's where he made the comment you remarked on: that he is the one who started the Glastonbury rumor.
Looking at the video and thinking about looks some more, when you get older, your eye sockets recede and go farther back in your head. So, if you had wild, funny bulging eyes in your youth, age tends to tame and normalize them. They can't really bulge like they used to, because they're pushed further back into your skull.

No, I read the quote too. I was just saying that he can be seen saying it in this video. But yes, we read it. It was right above our posts discussing it. You said he started the rumor and I said that Stevie had also been quoted saying she would love to play Glastonbury, that she saw the concert when she was there in the past and wanted to do it, etc.

Yep:thumbsup:. I´m from Prague. But you know... Fleetwood Mac is not so well known "in the East"... and it´s not such a big problem to go to Berlin for me, it´s about 5 hours by train. I travel a lot around here... but it´s true that I wouldn´t have to pay any post fee and hotel.

Today I've got my confirmation email for purchasing tickets for the Cologne show. I've been the biggest fan half my life, and this is the first time I am going to see them live. Words cannot express how excited I am. :]
I could not afford to see the 03 and 09 show, since the expenses for the whole trip to Germany are high, but this might be my last opportunity to see them, and I am not missing it.

I was thinking about Köln (Cologne) and Stuttgart too, but Berlin is still the nearest and the cheapest for me... eventhougt I was there many times and I could visit some "new city" for me... but to see Fleetwood Mac in Berlin is easier for me :).
Where are you from GoldDustBoy?
It´s interesting that the 2009 ticket was for 93 EUR, but now it´s 90 EUR, and I have a ticket to the very near place to stage, not like four years ago, when I was very far away from them. Anyway I paid 145 EUR now because I bought it on viagogo, some kind of middlemen or reseller. When I look to eventim on Friday ... all good tickets were "sold out"... but money is aside now for me, come on, Fleetwood Mac live! :)

Fleetwood Mac for a mere £125: Has the rock ‘n’ roll resurgence become too expensive?
They aren't the first band to ride the wave of nostalgia back into the public spotlight - and expect fans to pay the (extortionate) price.
When tickets to Fleetwood Mac’s UK tour went on sale Friday morning, elation quickly turned to outrage as fans were faced with tickets costing as much as £125.
“Sorry Fleetwood Mac but your tickets cost more than my rent,” tweeted one bitter fan. Others were similarly unsympathetic. “When do tickets for Fleetwood Mac go on sale? Just so I have time to sell my arse to Satan for the cash,” groaned @Spiral_Scratch. “Why not sell your tickets at a reasonable price?! Or do bands only like their rich fans in attendance these days?” commented @KimSim21.
Despite such protestations, tickets to see the immortal rock veterans sold out in minutes. Of course, Fleetwood Mac is not the first band to ride the wave of nostalgia back into the public spotlight. Led Zeppelin arguably kick-started the current trend with their 2007 O2 arena gig, a one night only reunion that saw lucky £125 ticket-holders picked at random.
At the Rolling Stones’ 50 Anniversary concert last year, Mick Jagger openly joked about the £395 price tag for some seats, stating the band’s £100,000 curfew fine amounted to “like ten seats.” With Roger Waters dusting off his old Pink Floyd opus The Wall for a £79 resurrection in September, and Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey’s similarly priced ‘Quadrophenia and More’ tour hitting UK arenas in June, it seems the behemoths of Sixties and Seventies pop culture are all clamouring to get one last shot at stardom.
This phenomenon is not just consigned to the arena either: Fleetwood Mac’s announcement that they have three new songs lined-up for their autumn tour is no new feat for an aging rock outfit; Stevie Nicks and co. have joined David Bowie, the Stones (again) and even Prince in releasing new tracks, albeit in the wake of iconic re-releases and re-packaged boxsets. While such marketing strategies in no way detract from the merit of the music, it is hard not to wonder whether waning royalties have anything to do with this newfound enthusiasm.
Of course, a large part of the problem lies not with the musicians but the touts. Ticket touting is legal in the UK, yet with the unchecked rise of the industry online it is increasingly hard to understand why. It is widely believed that touts now use illegal automated ‘bots’ to buy up vast swaths of tickets when they appear online, with the intention of selling them back to the consumer at double or even triple their original value.
On top of mind-boggling booking fees, police estimate the lucrative industry accumulates £1 billion a year in this country alone. In a distasteful act that shows even death has its price, touts are even selling tickets to Dr Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson’s farewell tour at an inflated rate. Ticket site Viagogo defended the move, arguing that there has always been an “aftermarket” for tickets.
With both Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones rumoured to headline Glastonbury this year, perhaps the question we should be asking is why bygone bands are once more enjoying their moment in the sun. Sadly, the return of these pop culture juggernauts says far more about the current state of modern music than their desire to shift 40-year-old records. In times of political apathy and economic uncertainty, it is perhaps understandable that sure-fire rock ‘n’ roll hits are such a popular form of escapism. But at such a high price, it is up to ticket buyers to ensure they won’t get fooled again.

Rolling Stones struggling to sell high-price tickets in US
With one day to go before their North American tour opens at Los Angeles's Staples Centre, the $600 tickets are still on sale
Sean Michaels guardian.co.uk, Friday 3 May 2013
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/may/03/rolling-stones-tickets-us-tour
Are Rolling Stones fans balking at their high ticket prices? With hours to go before the band kick off their 2013 tour, hundreds of tickets seem to be languishing at the box office of Los Angeles's Staples Centre.
Glancing at the North American concert dates on the Stones' website, there is one clear pattern: only the cheap seats are sold out. As the band prepares to begin their first major tour in six years, they have been releasing more and more $85 (£55) tickets for what is otherwise an insanely pricey show: a huge proportion of tonight's seats cost between $450 (£290) and $600 (£386), plus a "convenience fee". This would seem like generosity were it not for the fact that with time ticking down until the Stones hit the stage, there are still tickets available in the vast majority of the Staples Centre's sections. At the time of writing, groups of four fans can still buy seats on the floor (at $600 per ticket), and couples have their pick across most parts of the hall.
For comparison, Fleetwood Mac are also playing tonight, at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas. That gig has drawn none of the publicity of the Stones' return to California – it's the 16th date on Fleetwood Mac's US tour, which follows a four-year hiatus. But according to Ticketmaster, only a handful of seats are available for that show.
Industry observers began questioning the Stones' sales after blogger Bob Lefsetz pointed out the situation on his blog. "To anyone not working in investment banking, [Stones tickets] are extremely expensive," Pollstar editor Gary Bongiovanni told Bloomberg News. While he doesn't doubt that the show will sell out, "it ... won't be with people who paid $600 a seat". The concert's promoter, AEG, said they "fully expect Friday's Staples Centre show to be sold out and are very pleased with ticket sales for all upcoming shows".
Certainly the Stones didn't have any trouble in the UK, where they quickly sold out two gigs at London's Hyde Park. This year's Stones-headlined Glastonbury festival is also sold out. Although some fans complained about the Hyde Park prices, which ran from £95 to £375, guitarist Ronnie Wood insisted that the costs were fair. "We've already spent a million on rehearsing in Paris," he told the Telegraph. "And the stage is going to be another few million. And the lights. We feel no bad thing about ticket prices. We've got to make something."
The Rolling Stones' last tour, A Bigger Bang, brought in more than £350m over two years. It was the second-highest grossing tour of all time.

Hydro ‘will open on time’ insist operators

THE operators of a new music venue have denied reports it will be forced to cancel top rock and pop acts because work on the 12,000-seat arena is months behind schedule.
The Hydro, which is under construction at Finnieston in Glasgow, by the River Clyde, was reported to be two months behind and running millions of pounds over budget.
The new venue, which sits next to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), was said to be the subject of legal wrangling between contractor Lend Lease and the client, the SECC.
However, a spokesman for the SECC said there was “no legal dispute” which would prevent the *scheduled opening in *September.
According to reports yesterday, Lend Lease is holding out for around £98 million, while the SECC is sticking to a fee of around £90m in a disagreement over the final bill.
Delays in completing the venue were said to be casting doubt over shows by acts including Fleetwood Mac, Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel, The Proclaimers, Jessie J, and Andrea Bocelli.
However, the SECC said the claims relating to the legal dispute were “out of date”.
A spokesman added: “We will be announcing a very high-profile opening act for Scotland’s new home of live entertainment shortly”.
Organisers hope the new venue will free up the SECC for more exhibitions and attract more major music acts to play Glasgow.
The first concert currently advertised for the new arena is opera singer Andrea Bocelli, on 15 September.
Two large stage shows – Peter Pan and Jesus Christ Superstar – and Fleetwood Mac are also planned for the first month.
Reports yesterday said SECC chief executive John Sharkey had been in talks for most of last week with Lend Lease.
Sharkey was said to be attempting to find a breakthrough and had told fellow board members that while there are efforts to pull out all the stops for a September opening, the alternative date of the end of November was realistic.

Thank god I got London tickets instead of Glasgow.
We in Scotland seem singularly unable to manage a project properly thesedays. Ugh.
just curious - if they have to cancel Glasgow show because venue does not exist yet, do you all think they'd replace it with another show somewhere else (some other venue in Glasgow? Scotland? UK? add another London show maybe?) or just outright cancel?
Helsinki show that was not selling got replaced by Amsterdam since the first one there sold out within hours.
