Anybody going to this show.It looks like JB survived Sandy,I can imagine how high the tides were at that time.I was at Stevie's show when the tides flooded the front sections out.As I remember Chris Isaak walked in the water singing and shaking hands.
Lets hope for good weather that night.

I have a friend who works for Live Nation, who owns a share of the Jones Beach Theater along with some other entities, including New York State (as Jones Beach State Park). As the named sponsor and principal advertiser respectively, Nikon and Coca-Cola also put a lot of money into the venue.
The damage after Superstorm Sandy was extensive. Much of the the stage platform, amphitheater seating, backstage, green room, dressing rooms and public areas were essentially destroyed. Much work has been done to repair the whole area, and it is going to be ready for the summer, but most of the theater, as well as JBSP boardwalks, concession stands, bathhouses, parking lots, dunes and beaches were submerged and/or destroyed.
I'll be at the show if I can get a ticket.

Holy macro .Thanks Eugene for the photos. What a mess they have on their hands.
They probably get the federal dollars to clean it up on time of the opening act.
I'm very surprised that the roof of the stage is still there.
The electrics got to be reworked on the first level area of the venue plus the concession area and the stage area.
I wish JB luck to back on the their feet for the upcoming season.
These photos remind me when the Grand Ole Opry got flooded out years back.I was so heartbroken when I seen those photos online.

Instead of making more threads for FM's stop at Jones Beach.
So I bump this one up.
Lets pray for good weather for this show coming up.We've been having rain like the tropics here lately.
After seeing those horrible pix of the flood waters .I'm glad they fix it up for this season.
I probably can travel via canoe from here right to JB by the stage.LOL......

Just playing around with Stubhub .They got nose bleed seats for $85 and up.Thats pretty cheap for Stubhub.
If you mind spending $647 for some seats in Orc A in row H .If it was the first two rows I would of jump on it.
I'll be ok where I'll be for $400 less a couple rows back in row A.

Awesome night! Very tired, but the Without Intro, was yet again, a little different. Very funny, until Stevie got a little IDK maybe irked. Silver Springs was on fire, and Linds added another verse. Loved the GYOW intro. World Turning was a blast. During the Big Love intro, Lindsey had an exchange with someone in the front, she said she was born in 1994, the he said" your legal",a little strange. Major traffic getting home, and getting into JB parking was a nightmare.

he repeated what they were saying, with the question mark... and said something like they left him speechless. these 2 (or 3?) girls kept yelling for a while during different songs "Linds, we are legal!!" and then repeated that during BL intro when he was looking around for people who were born around 1987: "1994, we are legal!!"
wish i recorded that (:sorry: girls), it was hilarious.

both Amlyn and i have it, i have Lindsey she has Stevie... we are trying to splice them together side by side.
Stevie got pissed i guess because Lindsey was talking to audience members upfront exchanging stories about his picks instead of listening to her... in the middle of all that she called up on him to chime in.

Fleetwood Mac played Jones Beach (pics, videos, setlist)
photos by Greg Cristman, words by Andrew Sacher
Fleetwood Mac (Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood) have been on the road for the past couple months for their first full tour in a few years, which already hit MSG, and returned to the NYC-area for a show at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on Saturday (6/22). The tour is in celebration of a lot of things. They're supporting a new EP (their first new material in ten years) and the 35th anniversary reissue of Rumours. And as Lindsey mentioned on stage, they're celebrating the fact that when you go against the music industry's formula (in Fleetwood Mac's case, when they released the "difficult" double album, Tusk, as the followup to Rumours), sometimes time can treat the artistic decision well.
The Jones Beach show was my first time seeing Fleetwood Mac, so I can't comment on how it compared to seeing them in their prime, but besides all the retrospective stuff they were talking about on stage, they seemed more like a band hungry to tour again than a nostalgia act. Lindsey is a wildly impressive guitarist to watch, and not only does he still have the stage presence, but he would often put so much into a song that by the end of it, he was panting, stomping the ground, and triumphantly throwing his fist in the air. He practically screamed all of "Not That Funny," pulled off an intricate solo-acoustic rendition of the usually multi-layered "Big Love," and stole the show with his song-ending guitar solo on "Go Your Own Way." Stevie is still great on stage too and her voice is commanding as ever. She had many show-stealing moments too, leading the crowd in sing-alongs with "Dreams," "Landslide," and one of her solo cuts, "Stand Back," but if I had to say, she was most in full force during "Silver Springs," the "Go Your Own Way" b-side that ended up on the new Rumours reissue.
Not only was this my first time at Jones Beach Theater in a long time, it was also my first time this year, which means it was my first time seeing the venue since it re-opened after being severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy. (The only other two shows there this year so far were Rascal Flatts or Pitbull.) The brand new stage and boardwalk look great again, and Stevie mentioned on stage that they've got all new dressing rooms too. Mick also mentioned how happy he was to see the place back in good shape during the speech he gave at the end of the show. The next Jones Beach show is Rush tonight (6/23).
More pictures, videos, and the setlist from Fleetwood Mac's show below...

Wow- they have new stuff since the show I went to in May, necklaces etc. (Unless I just didnt see it that time.) I'll have to check it out at my next show. Its all overpriced if course, but thats part of the deal with merch. The thing I try to remember when/if I buy that stuff is, will I be glad I bought this 2 yrs plus from now? Kinda helps me decide.

This is the first tour where I wasn't interested in buying anything. The tee shirts don't last long enough to justify the 45.00 price anymore.

Copping Stevie’s Style at the Fleetwood Mac Concert
By Katie Van Syckle and Amy Lombard
“Our angel, our poet,” Mick Fleetwood said Saturday night at Jones Beach when introducing Stevie Nicks during a stop on the band’s current tour. The crowd mirrored that devotion for rock’s fairy godmother in their enthusiastic screaming fandom and in their style: They wore flowers in their hair, crescents around their necks, and whatever would allow them to spin and sway with ease. (Nicks herself was dressed similarly, as usual, and even dedicated “Landslide” to New York’s Jada Yuan.) The Cut sent photographer Amy Lombard and reporter Katie Van Syckle to Jones Beach to meet the adoring fans who came in their flowy dresses, bell sleeves, fringed jackets, white lace, and shawls, of course. Click ahead and enjoy.
Diane Moody
What were you thinking when you got dressed tonight? I wasn’t. This is how I dress. Have you been a Fleetwood Mac fan for a while? Oh yeah. Have you ever taken any style ideas from Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac? No, but I’ve been told it’s there. I try to just do my own thing. I think it’s a little bit of everything.
Teddi Cranford
Where did you get your dress? About six years ago. I have a friend that works at Bally, and I’ve always been obsessed with Stevie Nicks and her style and the dress came out to his store and I bought it underground at his sample sale. The only other time I’ve worn it was four years ago to that Night of a Thousand Stevies. What aspects of her style have you adopted? I like that whole really flowy, long, witchy thing.
Vidya Sykes
What were you thinking about when you got dressed tonight? I was just thinking about how their music makes me feel and about dancing. And how did you pick out your outfit? I wanted something that would be colorful and would move well when I was twirling around.
Tom Johnson
What do you have here? The shaggin’ wagon. Is this your weekend outfit? Yeah, I wear a suit Monday – Friday. I’m just a hippie with a good job. How long have you been only wearing tie-dye? I have been wearing tie-dye for 40 years, on the weekends.
Ambika Fairfield
Carolyn Bielfeldt
What were you thinking when you got dressed? I was thinking Stevie Nicks classics, white lace, denim, sixties. Why do you think she inspires such love and loyalty? She’s a strong, obviously smart woman, who owned it from the very beginning. It’s important for women in the music world and beyond.
Diane Seeley
How did you start making the hats? Every time she comes around I make a wreath for that particular tour. And I’ve been following her since Buckingham Nicks, before she was even with Fleetwood Mac. Have you stolen any style habits from Stevie over the years? Oh yeah, love the chiffon. The beads and the chains and all that stuff she does. What does the note say? You know what I don’t really remember because I wrote it after the last concert. I think I just pretty much said I’ve been a fan of yours forever and I named my daughter after you.
Diane Orofino
What were you thinking about when you got dressed for the show tonight? This was what we wore back in the day. You’ve got your beads, rings, jewelry ... This is what I do. I don’t really think about it, I just kind of throw stuff together. When I go to rock concerts I wear black. We went to a hippie concert a couple of years ago and I was all hippied out.
Kathy Kovar
How did you decide what you were going to wear tonight? Well I have my Stevie jewelry and something flowy. Something breezy. Have you been to a show before? I think this is my 54th show. But that’s counting Fleetwood Mac and Stevie tours, the furthest was Vegas.
Rene Williams
Is this your first Fleetwood Mac show? Oh no. I’ve been following Fleetwood Mac since I was 15. How would you describe your style? I would say bohemian contemporary.
Bonnie Farello
You were saying that you have a Stevie Nicks versus Fleetwood Mac thing going on here? Yeah, I just think my flowy black top, my gypsy look and my pants are a little more retro. A little more boho chic. How did you pick out your outfit? Comfortable, danceable.
Lauri Vanucci
How did you pick out your outfit tonight? I always try to reflect what the band is. Like when Pat Benetar was here I had black spandex pants on and a red, black, shiny thing that she would have worn. This is kind of Stevie, the fringe and the long sleeves and the black. Have you taken any style from Stevie over the years? Yeah, I like her look. Actually when I was younger, I kind of looked like her.
Christopher Panayi
Did you pick up the RV for the show? No, no we are going on a road trip around the country. This was our first stop. We went to the Rolling Stones show in Boston at TD Garden.
Janeen Sassano
What brings you out today? I was at the beach and I really wanted to see Fleetwood Mac. So I drove from Tobay Beach here. How long have you been a Fleetwood Mac fan? Well my parents always listened to Fleetwood Mac. I’m 32 years old so, it’s in my blood, I guess.
Barbara Rich
When did you get this shirt? 2009 at the Unleashed tour at Madison Square Garden. How long a have you been a fan? Well forever, but I didn’t start going to concerts until this tour, because I just wasn’t a concert-goer.
Diane McGuirk
How did you pick out your outfit today? These were clean. I wear tie-dyes a lot on the weekend. I really don’t take time to look at my outfit at all. It takes me 30 seconds to do my hair, another 30 seconds to do my makeup, I get dressed in another 30 more and I go.
Ross Maniaci
How did you pick out your outfit? This is what I always wear. Didn’t take the motorcycle so just wear the same thing all the time.
Paul Hess

Watch Stevie Nicks Dedicate ‘Landslide’ to New York’s Jada Yuan
On Saturday, underneath an appropriately magical Supermoon, Fleetwood Mac played a slew of classics to a packed Jones Beach. Stevie, Lindsey, Mick and John opened with "Second Hand News" and ended with "Say Goodbye" — but not before a very special "Landslide" dedication to one of New York's own: Jada Yuan. "I always kind of save this for people who I consider to be family or really my closest, closest friends," Stevie began. "She wrote the most beautiful article about me. I thought, 'She's 35 years old, she doesn't even ... ' Come to find out that she got it. She got something that no one who has ever written about me has ever gotten. I'll never, ever forget it. It lives in my journal."

That really was the best interview in a very long time. it was funny and sad and just really all warm and fuzzy. CARROTSSSSSSSSSSS

A ‘Landslide’ of Appreciation: Stevie Nicks Thanks New York Mag’s Jada Yuan
By Kara Bloomgarden-Smoke 6/25 6:18pm
When New York magazine reporter Jada Yuan went to see Stevie Nicks at Jones Beach last weekend, she got more than a concert T-shirt. During the show, Ms. Nicks dedicated “Landslide” to the journalist, who had recently written a profile of the singer.
“I would like to dedicate this song to a girl, a lady. Her name is Jada and she wrote the most beautiful article about me,” the Fleetwood Mac singer said.
“She got something that nobody that has ever written about me before has ever gotten,” continued Ms. Nicks. “And I just wanted to tell her how much I appreciate that.”
“I’ll never, ever forget it. Her name is Jada, and I want to thank her so much.”
Ms. Yuan, who was in the audience, was stunned. “I cried through the whole song and don’t even remember at least the next five,” Ms. Yuan told OTR.
Weeping, even without having Ms. Nicks dedicate the song to you, is apparently a common reaction to “Landslide.”
In the profile, which ran in the June 17 issue of New York, Ms. Yuan wrote of the song: “Chances are, you or someone next to you was weeping during ‘Landslide,’ with that chorus you might casually dismiss as cliché until you find yourself singing it in unison with 15,000 fans: ‘Time makes you bolder / Children get older / I’m getting older, too.’”
Ms. Yuan spent about four months working on the 5,823-word feature and saw multiple concerts. Most profile writers say that after spending so long with a subject—during both the interview and the writing process—the illusion of familiarity often fades once the piece is published.
“Anyone who writes profiles knows you end up spending a lot more time with the subject than they do with you,” Ms. Yuan said. “For them, it’s an hour or two out of their lives, but you spend days or weeks with this person rattling around in your head, and you can get pretty invested and then never hear from them again.
“It’s rare to get any feedback, let alone that they thought you got it right. So to hear it from Stevie Nicks, who’s such a beautiful writer herself, was a really special honor.”
Ms. Yuan, who was at the concert with a friend, went backstage afterward and got to follow up in person with the singer.
While the mandate of a magazine profile isn’t to please the subject, Ms. Yuan’s article wasn’t a puff piece by any means—it tackled Ms. Nicks’ battles with drugs, her weight and relationships.
The singer’s honesty about her struggles is one reason she has so many fans. Her gracious reponse to the article, said Ms. Yuan, “says a lot more about Stevie than it does about me.”
Video below (be prepared to have the song stuck in your head for at least 24 hours):

Fleetwood Mac rocks Jones Beach concert in Long Island, New York
rock and pop June 24, 2013 By: Markos Papadatos
On a warm summer evening on June 22, Fleetwood Mac performed at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, New York, for a packed amphitheater.
They commenced their set with “Second Hand News” and they followed it up with “The Chain,” as well as the classic “Dreams.”
Other noteworthy tunes that they performed in sequence included “Sad Angel,” “Rhiannon,” “Not That Funny,” “Tusk,” “Sisters of the Moon,” “Sara,” as well as “Big Love.”
Prior to introducing “Landslide,” Stevie noted that the song was written in 1973 and it subsequently became one of the group’s signature songs. “There are so many people here that I cannot thank enough for everything that they have done. First of all, I would like to dedicate this song to a girl, Jana that wrote this beautiful article about me. I want to thank her so much and I will never forget it since it lives in my journal and it goes from journal to journal,” the rock songstress remarked.
Her soaring rendition of “Landslide” showcased Nicks’ distinct lilting vocals.
Equally captivating were “Gypsy,” “Gold Dust Woman,” as well as Stevie Nicks’ smash hit as a solo artist “Stand Back.”
They closed with “Go Your Own Way,” and returned for an encore that included such vocals as “World Turning,” “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow,” as well as “Silver Springs” and “Say Goodbye.”
Conclusion
Overall, Fleetwood Mac gave a tremendous live show at Jones Beach. Stevie Nicks nailed the vocals and John McVie rocked the bass guitar. Lindsey Buckingham proved that he is one of the best lead guitarists the rock genre of music has to offer and Mick Fleetwood was phenomenal on drums and percussion.
They were able to breathe new life into these timeless hits and introduce them to a brand new generation of fans. The group interacted extensively with the crowd throughout the evening and Stevie proved that she is a great storyteller, in addition to a gifted vocalist. For passion and enthusiasm alone, their show garners 5 out of 5 stars.
According to Christine Nagy, esteemed radio personality from New York's 106.7 Lite FM, she remarked, “Stevie Nicks is such a timeless and ageless singer and songwriter, as well as a super front-woman. She is the only member of Fleetwood Mac who gets to perform her solo song, ‘Stand Back,’ in their concerts. She is also a strong, single woman who has dedicated her life to her art, especially since she spends her free time visiting wounded soldiers. There aren't many stars that will downsize their lives to spend more time doing charity work. I really admire her.”

THIS WAS ME. Basically Lindsey had been talking to me & my friends a lot that night throughout the concert because we were standing directly in front of him. During the Without You intro we were talking to Lindsey about picks and that's when Stevie was like "Are you even listening?!" or whatever. & he wasn't so she got annoyed. And then during Big Love he said "This song was written in 1987; before you were born, right?" and then he pointed at us. I just shrugged & my friend Ally yelled "1994! '94!" And then he said to her "'94?" and then I yelled "YEAH, WE'RE LEGAL." And he was like, in shock. LMFAO. He laughed and was blushing and then he said "Uhh.. I kind of lost my train of thought there." And I was like "SORRY LINDS!" It was hilarious. Everyone that heard was cracking up.
I think Stevie heard and she was mad. When they walked out together and hugged she was staring at us the entire time!

Duke Chronicle Fleetwood Mac still dazzles a younger crowd
By Marie-Claire Bousquette | July 1, 2013 9:58
http://www.dukechronicle.com/articles/2013/07/01/fleetwood-mac-still-dazzles-younger-crowd
On Saturday, June 22nd, something tremendous happened to me. Days later, it still feels like a dream when I recall watching Fleetwood Mac, live, surrounded by the still waters of Zach’s Bay at Jones Beach, N.Y. I saw one of the greatest bands of all time (yes, Kanye, of all time) and crossed a major entry off my bucket list at the mere age of 21. Music of the past resonates with me deeply, in a way that many teenagers and twenty-somethings miss out on by ignoring the great artists of decades past. As one of my friends said during the pre-concert tailgate as “Don’t Stop” played over our iPod speakers, “Do you remember ever not knowing this song?”
It didn’t seem that age had adversely affected the band’s performance at all. Stevie Nicks, now 65, was impeccable. Her voice sounded just as it did at the beginning of Fleetwood Mac, distinctive and “a little kind of gnome-like,” as she described it in 2011. She wore all black, as always, and twirled around the stage frequently, arms spreading her light-colored shawl out in her signature butterfly-like manner.
Lindsey Buckingham is still a wizard on his bizarrely-small and acoustic-looking Turner solid-body electric guitar. He took the guitar-heavy “Big Love” to an extreme, performing one of the best guitar solos I’ve ever heard in concert or on a record. He was so engaged in his music that, at the end of the minutes-long fingerpicking glory, Buckingham bent over, hands on knees, panting from the exertion. The rest of the band was just as energized and focused, particularly evident during Mick Fleetwood’s extended drum solo which lasted long enough for Nicks to leave the stage and find her black to p hat in time for “Go Your Own Way.”
The tension between Nicks and Buckingham, former lovers who split during the 1976 recording of the band’s legendary album, Rumours, was palpable throughout the concert. The second of three encore songs was “Silver Springs,” which Nicks sang directly to Buckingham for nearly all of its four and a half minutes. As I witnessed the thread of love still hanging in the air between them, I felt the chorus was particularly apt: “I’ll follow you down ‘til the sound of my voice will haunt you/you’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you.”
My only qualm with the evening was the complete lack of enthusiasm from anyone over 25 in my seating section, the age group that constituted roughly 98 percent of the patrons. Those in the floor seats far in front of me stood for the entire concert, while my section remained quietly seated. Before this, I had never been shushed during a concert—certainly not one in a massive outdoor amphitheater. I watched as the man next to me asked his wife to stop dancing to “Stand Back” and sit down. As my friend and fellow Fleetwood-goer Laura Valk put it, “No one sits for Stevie. No one.” I really don’t think I’ve seen so many middle-aged people act “too cool” for anything before. Quite frankly, this is something I would expect more from my generation than from those who grew up when Fleetwood Mac ruled the airwaves.
The apathy of the older crowd in my section has manifested itself differently in my own generation. There are college students who can’t tell you who sang “Landslide” and have never heard “Go Your Own Way” sung by anyone but the Glee Cast. A number of college-aged music fans only listen to tracks that have come out in the last month, even calling music from 2012 “old news.” We miss something tremendous by subscribing to this mentality; there is so much to be discovered in the music of the past. Inspired songwriting and devoted musicianship produce beautiful results that transcend the decades, and Fleetwood Mac’s powerful, sold-out performance is a testament to this truth.

Hi all.Again its better late then never.
This show was the last show in my little FM tour before I head off to Atlantic City for some R and R for awhile.
I got to the venue about 5:30 and as I got out of the car to stretch my legs .
FM was doing a soundcheck with "Second Hand News" It sounded great.
The weather was great. It finally cooperated with us for a change .
It was nice to chat with some of you Ledgies at the show.Thank for your time guys.
Again I'm not going to get into a long winded boring play by play of the show here.
I have to say right off the bat .The band was having a blast on stage.Lindsey was on fire through out the show even if the water around him would not cool him off.
Stevie was awesome as always. It was funny when she explains how the tunes come about as I look at the faces of Lindsey,Mick and John.
I did take some pix and again lousy videos of the show.Security was great with us with the photo and video taking in my section. Again I leave the video taking to you pros out there with those wonderful video I see on YouTube of this tour.
Here's a couple photos. Not the best in the world but better then nothing.
