We had our projector break down twice during the showing in San Diego last night. Ultimately, they moved us to another theater to finish watching it. Our patience paid off in the end. Especially because we got to see the part of Stevie singing "You Can't Fix This". That is one intense, awesome song.
It was so cool seeing her on the big screen. I couldnt help but think about how cool it must've been to see the IYD doc that way. I really hope we get something soon from Stevies camp regarding that.

I'm really happy that Stevie is continuing with writing/recording/performing new songs this year, even with the Fleetwood Mac tour looming. I think she's at her best, both personally and performance wise, when she is actively creating.

They've still got it! Rock royalty Joan Jett and Stevie Nicks show their iconic style on the red carpet at Sound City premiere

They are two of the most iconic women in rock.
So it was quite the clash of the titans when Joan Jett and Stevie Nicks walked the red carpet in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The dynamic duo battled it out at the premiere of Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl's new documentary Sound City.
I Love Rock And Roll favourite Joan, 54, just about edged it thanks her more youthful looks, while her leather jacket, jeans and trainer combo also had a more trendy edge.
But Rhiannon star Stevie, 64, was certainly not disgraced in her all black ensemble, which showed off her slender physique.
Another aging beauty at the event was Daryl Hannah, the 52-year-old making quite the Splash due to her evergreen looks.
A smattering of rock and roll royalty showed up for the event, with all of the Foo Fighters and No Doubt star Tony Kamal among the big names.
Sound City is about the popular recording studio of that name, which is now defunct, in the San Fernando Valley of California.
Albums produced there include Fleetwood Mac’s self-titled 1975 album, their smash hit Rumours two years later, Mr Springfield’s Working Class Dog in 1981, and Nirvana’s seminal grunge record Nevermind in 1991.

Is she really THAT short? Surely she's just slouching majorly in that seat... her head is only like half above the dashboard

i just think it's funny that it seems her preference is to sit shotgun. she'd obviously have more privacy in the back seat...

Haha! That is funny! She didn't want to sit next to anybody. I see Marty Hom's back. Is that normal to have a tour manager at a one-off when you're not even touring?

i think it's more of a "which members of my entourage are in town tonight, might as well bring them with!"
also, with the numerous musicians playing that night, they probably requested him to help manage the stage/staff/musicians.

Gotcha! Makes sense. I noticed he had a lot of papers in his hand, prob for exactly that.

If I sit in the back of the car I will get car sick now .I never had that problem before.
I don't know or maybe Stevie has that problem too which I doubt it because she has to ride in the limos sometimes.
I'm glad that Stevie ignored that loud mouth bozo bellowing out that crap.
I probably would give him the finger salute.

She brought her A. Game vocals last night as opposed to January 18th. SDMHA alone is like night and day.

Poor Rick Springfield... he soooo wants to be taken seriously as a "rocknrolla" but his bubblegum pop days seem to be permanently stuck to him.

Thanks for posting, I personally think SDMHA was awesome (and it's not one of my faves) This may be b/c of her backing band. They were awesome!
I haven't even listened to GDW yet, but I think it is great that Stevie is so active-even with the tour coming up.
Does anyone know if Joan Jett performed? and if so, are there any clips?

Set #8: Stevie Nicks
The Stevie Nicks set – the final of the night – was absolutely the highlight for me, as she is my all-time favorite female vocalist. Watching her perform from such close proximity was simply amazing.

You can stop kicking - I was planning to go also, but they pulled it from being shown early in Austin since it's going to be shown at SXSW instead.
