Sheryl Crow is going country. Here is the first single off her new country album. It's called Easy and I like it. I'm sure its going to do real well and she will be accepted by country folks.

I think it sounds like a cross of Linda Rondstadt and Jimmy Buffet.

I like it as well.Sheryl is from the cotton picking panhandle of Missouri so she has country roots. However she is over 50 ..so the chances of it getting played on country radio are slim.

I agree. She has to weed through the young artists to get there.
As we know radio is prejudice with older artists as we see with Stevie,Lindsey and FM plus our other favorite older artists. Its a shame this happens.
Once in the blue moon an older artist will have a great comeback on the mainstream or country charts like Tina Turner in the 80's and Cher in the 1990's has done in the past .

I have all of Sheryl's albums... have been a fan since '96. I knew a country album from her was inevitable... she has made an album for pretty much every other genre: rock, pop, folk, protest, and soul/R&B. However, this is one album I won't be partaking in. I just abhor country music, even the pop/rock country that has been en vogue for the past decade. Yuck!

This will keep her busy and her mind off Lances problems.
I wish the best for her with this CD and everything else in her life.
