i'm sticking with philly now. hopefully this won't happen with that venue, since tm redirects you to the wells fargo site. if anyone was doubting whether they could fill arenas, apparently these venues/tm think they can... this platinum seat thing must be relatively new. i've never seen it before on tm.

also, the whole 2 seat thing... i need 3. i mean really, this is more frustrating than initially anticipated. lol

They used to do it before, but they called them "market place" or something with "market". I actually thought it was discontinued because of threatened lawsuits saying that it was a conflict of interest for Ticketmaster to have these reserved seats, but I guess not.

It started a few months ago with GAGA and P!NK .... I can't wait to see what they are going to ask for MADONNA

positive thing is - the currently offered platinum seats at these outrageous prices do not seem to be moving. :D

so hopefully they'll lower prices like they did with DC over the weekend (and those tickets started moving like crazy yesterday).

OK. Have the safety on, not pulling the trigger. But if all the California seats sell, I will be outside the theater, like Theodore Dreiser's Sister Carrie.

I do think my concert days are over I refuse to pay over a $100 for a concert ticket unless they release cheaper seats for Mohegan Sun Show.I will be skipping this show unless If there is tickets available still by the time the concert gets here and have the xtra cash to do it and if available might go to the show but won't be buying tickets thru presales on date sales.Usually there are tickets available thru the show date so not going crazy on getting tickets since they are high priced for the only show I would go to will just start saving up from now thru april and if there is tickets available at that time will go otherwise will miss this tour.I will be bummed a bit and just have to watch the you tube clips of the shows people post. If you never seen them live go for it and enjoy the show it will be awesome. My money these days have more important places to use it for than a concert these days.If I do go this show it will definetly be my last concert to attend.

Yes, I think that I know what you're referring to. Apparently, TicketBastard has their own scalping business with links on their main page to their scalping page. Now we know where all the good tickets go early. Of all people pretending to be trying to stop scalping, I guess so that the good tickets are left for them to sell on their sites. You can better believe that's why tickets re-appear at the last minute when they don't sell at their outrageous prices. I read that is some cases the artist are aware of / and encourage this because they get a cut of the money. Absolutely, unacceptable to me and that's why I stopping going to shows. Greed out of control.

That is a twist on IKINW. No, I most decidedly won't blame you if I become a lady of the evening.

Actually, I appreciate the perspective and the scalpers could not charge more than Ticketmaster, so even if the premium seats disappear there will be other options.

Well I know for the show here in Michigan the starting ticket prices are @ $49.50 I think to well over a 100.00 & something sorry I don't recall the actual prices I'm sure someone can tell us. I do understand what your saying though --heck I stop seeing FMac after 03 for SYW & those weren't even the expensive seats either. I stop seeing Stevie after 08 (saw her previous 07 too--and many times before that same for Fmac) over paid for those too I didn't see her at all for the IYD tour --even if there is cheaper prices the live concert thing isn't that big of a deal anymore the prices are aweful for what your getting now a days. Same song set list you could read back in your sleep --phoned in performances I'm just not interested in any of it anymore unless I can get a cheap seat I won't see anyone anymore not just Stevie/Mac period. I agree with my $$ being more important than the concert expericence its more of a joke really. No offence thats only IMO though.

I know I agree The concert scene is lost its fun and excitment for me too for any artist today its about how much money we can make not about the music anymore. When I saw Stevie in July here at mohegan sun, It was a good show but also felt it was my last time to go to a concert.Maybe I am getting older but I had my fun thru the years and met Stevie and shaken hands with her at a couple of shows and shakin hands with Lindsey at a few shows too and had a blast. When the magic is not there for me anymore I move on.
the mohegan sun show has two price ranges $150 and $175 and have paid it in the past before but just not doing it anymore being to the concerts since I was 16 back in 1986 Stevie's Rock A Little Tour all solo and FM tours since 1986 thru today. I understand they can't play for free even if the tickets were $75 and $95 would be better.I know I am dating myself by saying back in 1997 The Dance Tour with the full line up of the Rumours Era FM. Christine Mcvie awesome tour I had front row in front of Christine McVie and got the tickets at the box office waiting in line back then the price was $75

back in July of this year Stevie played to a sold out show at Mohegan Sun tickets were $35 and $55.

I agree. I'd happily pay $75, or even $100. But beyond that....know what? I'd just as soon shell out $15 for a DVD of the tour, and watch that....

Dating yourself? Mirage Tour tickets were $16(and that was 5th row center)!!! It now is all about how much they can rake in. Good for them. But I won't be part of it....:distress:
And I can afford it, no problem. But it's the principle of it. Getting screwed is getting screwed, regardless of how much it hurts.

If this is any thing like P!NK GAGA or the Who all the seats from the stage to the middle of the floor and the 2 sections on the side ALL those SEATS are Premium and will not pop up in any pre or regular sale , maybe FM will be different but we ( there are 7 of us) have been searching for good seat to the 3 i mentioned and nothing has shown up I've given up 650 for a seat for pink and 275 to stand , my days of arena shows has ended ,

Hold on to your hats SoCal fans. Honda Center Platinum Seats pricing is scandalous. Center Section Front row-$2,195-per tickets which equates to $4,390 for two people; Second row sections 102 and 103 per person-$1,250 to $1,350, etc.

HollyWood Bowl is just as bad. Pool/Pit tickets and garden boxes make up the majority of Platinum seats. None went up for pre-sale and I'm wondering if any will go up for general sale as season ticket holders tend to get the rest of the garden and pool tickets.

I'm now wondering if FWM will tell the venues to allow people in the first five or ten rows to stand at the stage like they've done in the past. I'm sure people who buy the platinum tickets would not appreciate it if they did.

I would not even if I had it I wouldn't pay that price for any artist that amount. I will stay home and watch one of there concerts on dvd instead. If prices to shows come at mohegan sun are
$143 to $173 a ticket and there platinum seating priced tickets are $500 to $1,900.00 a ticket at mohegan on Ticketmaster site. Just Crazy to me

Are you serious? Yeah, like even if I had that kind of money, no artist is worth that much. I'd stay home, too. I can probably watch it on YouTube anyway. I went to the AC Van Halen show this year, & someone recorded every song & put it on YouTube.

Good Advice. Most of us want to touch them or catch Stevie or Lindsey's eye :xoxo: 'cause we're nuts :] so youtube is out for the majority of us.

I have never seen prices set so high  and I've been going to concerts since, are you ready for this, 1965 (Saw the Stones!).

I doubt that anyone will pay the plat seat prices as they now stand, but I also doubt that TM will back down to a reasonable price that most of us can afford for any of those plat seats. :sorry: Why? Because they have no real incentive to cut their prices until the very last minute unlike brokers who eventually end up unloading them sometimes at any cost-especially if they have a large inventory for that show.

TM can hold on until the very last minute (literally hours before the show) and still get at least get face value. Brokers, on the other hand, sell most of their tickets on consignment (Yes, even Barrys.) and must unload their tickets at least the day before a concert-although it is true that I bought a Pit ticket for a Stevie show once the day of-Stubhub's policy is three days before-hand.

I've sold extra tickets through Stubhub for years so I know their policy first-hand. The seller reduces the price, sometimes for less than face, to at least get something back otherwise you might end up eating the entire cost of the ticket-TM doesn't have that concern to deal with.

Don't stress about the general sale either. FWM is one of several bands who drop tickets so don't despair. Again, my only true concern is, with ticket prices so high, will FWM stick to their past policy of letting just about anyone go to the stage-except maybe at the Hollywood Bowl where the Pool/Pit is off-limits to the rest of the audience.

I was just afraid that TM would get rid of their platinum tickets if they don't sell and let Stubhub get them. If they keep them until closer to the show, then the prices may go down. That wouldn't be half bad.

I am not happy with the Mohegan Sun Show Prices but didn't bite into the day of sale thing and will wait and save up money aside and hope to have a ticket for April show. I do want to go and not really care where I am sitting but will enjoy the show where ever I am at.I am sure there will be seats available up to the show date at the prices.

Yeah, and here is what really gets my goat...regardless of how outrageous tix prices are..it will still always amaze me that people do pay those horribly inflated prices for tickets....(and I know this is taking the conversation into an unrelated topic....mainly concert goers behavior) and they will still spend every minute of the show on a beer run...and or getting into fights...ugh.
Any hoo...I am still very much looking forward to Denver...

^This! The Dallas show had several Platinum tickets for well over $1500 each, yet now the highest one they have is $684.97. I can't figure out if people actually bought the ones for $1500+ or not, but if they did I would bet they are no where near the fans any of us Ledgies are. It irks the hell out of me that people who really could give a damn about the show will buy up front row tickets just because they have the money.

Regina

During FM-Unleashed--at MSG, I got front row at the last minute. Off to the side, but still...front row, and I stood at the stage for almost all of it. But, there was a couple in the second row...and the guy kept bragging how he spend over $1000 for the pair of tickets he had because his "girl" loved FM and was SUCH a fan. I kind of just snickered because I paid face value and was one row in front of them. Anyway...they also went up to the stage, at one point, probably after numerous beer runs because they were plastered. And, the woman kept screaming for them to sing "Leather and Lace." And, she got progressively more profane in her requests. At the end of the evening, she was "f*ing furious" because they wouldn't sing her favorite "FM" song.

So, I couldn't agree more. The people paying these outrageous prices are not the ones who are on here, supporting the band for years and years.

as far as those premium and vip deals...esp. the VIP packages...I'd be very interested in knowing if anyone here has done the meet and greets and do you think it was worth the bucks you shelled out?
I mean, if I had the $$ I might consider it...seems like it'd be kinda fun to get that extra little perk...

In this case, I think it is well worth it because you get a better seat at a price that is competitive. For the Unleashed tour, meeting Mick cost extra on top of the rest of the package. This time, it doesn't cost extra and the seats are cheaper than they were for Unleashed. I'm not really interested in talking to Mick, so I guess that is worth whatever value you place on it.

all of us are so interested in one or the other thing either FM or one or the other FM member related. i'm sure you'd have some good questions.

just read Matt's post about what he asked Mick - lots of good questions from Matt and it seems Mick is willing to give the info in response.

so should be some interesting info after these m&gs. after all, it seems that most of Mick's tickets went to fans... casual concert goers mostly didn't even know about these.

I haven't done this before, but I feel totally fine about my purchase, honestly. It was a lot of money, but I would have either spent a lot more money (through "platinum seating" or brokers) or a lot more time (hoping that close seats get released at a later date, which is also completely unpredictable) getting comparable seats at this venue, it seems, and this has the added bonus of getting to meet Mick. So I feel like it was worth it just for where I'm sitting, and Mick is the cherry on top.

Well, I'd asked him about his recent hypothetical comment regarding Stevie writing a song and Christine singing on it and wondering why that popped into his head.

Mick can be very eloquent and you could ask him about anything. If you wanted to ask him about another band member, his nose won't get bent out of joint. I just don't like the idea of meet and greets. I chose not to ask him anything during Unleashed and I would probably choose the same this time. The whole, "I'm a fan and I want my picture taken with you" thought really bothers me. I would, though, like to meet these people at the Cleaners you know. If I saw Stevie hauling her cashmere blankets in, I'd lament about how hard it is to get stains out of them.

There's nothing wrong with it. I love to hear reports from people who have done it. I think that is great. I just don't like to do that. I never thought it was wrong to want a picture. I don't want one. But I have had imaginary conversations with Larry David in my head more than once, so it is not like I don't understand the impulse. Michele
