I got to say the BD band.I like the line up now and miss Lenny. As Waddy is the engineer of the band. The band keeps on chugging along right on track.

Ok .As other artists have names for their bands. How come Stevie never came up with a name for her band .Or did she ever had a name for them.I can't recall.

The Wachtels or Wads. That should work.

Agreed! The Bella Donna "White Winged Dove" touring band were top notch musicians, with "Wild Heart" then "Rock A Little" a close 2nd and 3rd. The "In Your Dreams" band would land a respectable 4th in my estimation.

I can remember when it was first aired on HBO. I was totally blown away and Stevie was looking incredibly BEAUTIFUL! To this day it is my favorite VHS ever, a close second is The Dance.
The current IYD's band is tight and sounds great as well.

Yes I remember those days and nights I tuned in that late March and the month of April 1982 and watch every airing of the concert. We had no VCR at the time so I end up watching it as it aired.

During those times I recorded the sound track on to cassette and reel to reel tape.I still have those tapes somewhere.

On the second run which was in 1983 or 1984 I borrowed an old reel to reel video recorders like they had at school or the library from a friend.I copied that tape to VHS
in 1985 .Those tapes are somewhere.

The Showtime Rock a Little tour shows got recorded to VHS when it aired on Showtime.

I would have picked the Other Side Of The Mirror Band

Me too. Even though Stevie wasn't always at her best on this tour, the band however was tight and rockin'. Stevie even said on the CV commentary during the WLT video what a great band that was.

I think it all comes down to taste. Stevie's OSOTM band was quite a departure for her at the time as was that record. Whether it was conscious decision or Waddy had enough and wanted to explore other creative ventures for the next decade (I assume the latter), Stevie's band became less lean and gritty and more R&B and jazzy. Her foggy vocals not withstanding, the band sounded woozy and less honed. I lived it and was very enthusiastic and thrilled that Stevie was still having success and selling well in arenas, but the overall tone was distinctly different and less rock and roll. To this day, I shy away from any live boots from 89' through 91'.

I cant believe Enchanted got no votes yet
that was a great show She was back!! and the band was fresh.
Frank with the bleached blonde hair was awesome /Lenny and Carlos were there
Was Waddy back for tour? I think so. Brett Tuggle Don Boyette were awesome.

Rock A Little band was outstanding though Bobbie Hall on percussion was Excellent !
Waddy , the girls and Stevie was really WILD THEN !

What about the Street Angel Tour- Rick vito ?

Waddy was not on board during the "Enchanted" tour, He did not return to Stevie's touring band until the 2001 "Shangri-la" tour and her tours thereafter. And yes, the "Street Angel" touring band rocked primarily because of Rick Vito, also the return of Russ Kunkel.

The "Enchanted" tour musically was decent -- first and formost it was the return of Stevie (post "The Dance") -- and for me the most endearing part of that tour was hearing Stevie perform songs we thought she'd never perform live. Songs such as "After The Glitter Fades", "Garbo", "Rose Garden" "Sleeping Angel", "Twisted", and the revival of a song rarely performed before..."Enchanted"!

As far as rating band musicianship, I would take the Street Angel band over the Enchanted band in a heartbeat.

Don't think I could pick one. But if i had to it would be the Bella Donna band. I do love the IYD band too though. I think i'm very partial towards Sharon, Lori, and Waddy, and that's why.
Didn't she say Russ was her favorite drummer? I loved him too.
