My friend Erik and I were able to secure 2 tickets for the general admission show on October 12. The venue holds only 360 people. There will indeed be a Q&A session following the film.

Can't Wait!!!

Congrats to you! Make sure you secure a seat up front so you can ask Stevie a question.

I was wondering about this. The way it's set up, I think the higher level ticket holder you are (like a Film Institute subscriber) the better your seat is. So, the best bet was to hurry up and get one of those Director's Circle (or higher memberships) before general admission.

According to the box office, the entire theater is general admission. It is less than 400 seats!

An email I received said that there are reserved seats for "Mill Valley Film Festival passholders," otherwise it's general seating.

It would be amazing to be able to attend the screening...too bad I live so far away. I can't wait to hear about it from all the people who get to be there, though.

Ah sweeet. Ofcourse I'd just assume all of you would be there, but you know, had I gone, and NOT seen Syrah or Deb it just wouldn't be the same. Damn, I am actually SO excited this morning. I haven't been this excited about a Stevie event in a while!!!!

congrats to those of you who have gotten tickets! And congrats to Dave & Stevie for getting this done. I rewatched Destiny Rules yesterday for the first time in years. It will be interesting to see how Dave balances the information on record making vs. his odd editing and imagery. I was not a fan of his secret love and moonlight videos but I LOVED his production of IYD....this should be interesting.

I want to go but considering air fare, car rental, hotel, etc. the cheapest I could do it would be $500, so I'm waffling. Maybe I'll just have to hear all about it from those who are lucky enough to go!

@ Mike, Mill Valley is very tiny and very expensive. You'd probably do better either finding a good deal in SF or farther opposite direction towards San Rafael. I am unsure how many people come from out of town for this. I have been to a MVFF before, and it's busy-but seemed very local oriented.

OK, thanks. I think the theater being used for Stevie may even be in San Rafael.

Mill Valley is just a few minutes away from Sausalito... I'd have to stay there if I were going. Definitely carve some time out to drive by the Record Plant in Sausalito while you're in the area.
