What is this show.

it is a show based on Toddler's and Tiara's breakout star Alana Thompson aka Honey Boo Boo Child. That is what she calls herself. The show is about her and her rural, georgian family and their exploits.

I'm not even going to comment on this

, from what I saw they are just exploiting a woman who is not well educated and her family , she is probably being mislead by a bunch of 20 something produces egging her on to perform for the camera it is disgusting, sorry if that make me a snob, but I have better things to do like watch someone else life on television , I have a life of my own,and it's not pathetic enough that I feel the need to watch and take down someone else's

It's funny if your sense of humor is laughing at someone who is unfortunately not smart enough to figure out she is being taken advantage of while pimping out her six year old

and can't figure out what intelligent/legitimate reason a grown man would watch a show about a "SIX YEAR OLD" BEAUTY PAGEANT CONTESTANT ......
A SIX YEAR OLD

^Thats the part that gets to me...but I won't go into that. You enjoy the show, enjoy the show. You have no problem with pageant kids and their folks, to each their own.
BUT..a six year old w/ a tag phrase "a dollar make me holla" ummm :distress:

Blah....

It's not about a six year old, its about the entire family and they are laughing all the way to the bank. Mama June is smart and definitely knows what she is doing. She is making do with what she has.

I really think there is a lot of snobbery here. Redneck does not equal dumb. Mama June is trying to do what is best for her daughter and who knows—Honey Boo Boo Child could be the new Shirley Temple for this generation. Honey Boo is smart too. She knows what to say to get attention.

to many in America, a reality show indicates credibility, unfortunately; the same way large amounts of money indicate honest success.

Thats whats sick. That stupid dumbfks that watch this crap are putting great old time actors out of work for normal tv shows.

Of course todays scriptwriters are not good as they were 25 years ago could be the other problem.

The sitcoms today are boring and not funny. The show Stevie was in stinks and not funny. The only part that was funny is when Stevie was in it,

Cheap trash tv.The networks love it and cashing in on this garbage.

I'm glad to see TNT networks Dallas remake on tv.It was great to see the old clan fighting again.

The major punchline is that the show is on TLC. You know, the Learning Channel, and well, hell, I suppose someone is learning from this. Arc of learning curve? I'm not here to judge

Farting, Rednecks and Gay Pigs: Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Is Riveting
Tracie Egan Morrissey
When 6-year-old Alana Thompson scored her own reality show on TLC—the network's first and only spinoff of its hit Toddlers & Tiaras—it must've chapped the asses of pageant moms. After all, they've spent so much time, effort, and money turning their children into beautiful, perfectly-trained living dolls, reaching for the kind of stardom that Alana and her family achieved simply by being themselves. Alana's family is to pageants what gender**** is to gender identity. They fart. They eat cheese puffs for breakfast. They revel in being rednecks. They compare their vulvas to Hardee's biscuits. They weigh themselves on national television. They are riveting.

The brief opening title of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (in the video above) kind of says it all. As the camera pans over the smiling family for a nice portrait, "Mama" audibly farts and everyone fans the stink away.

The Thompsons consist of 17-year-old "Chickadee" (who is pregnant), 15-year-old "Chubs," 12-year-old "Pumpkin," 6-year-old Alana, their dad, 40-year-old "Sugar Bear," and the 32-year-old matriarch "Mama."

Full size
Mama is the breakout star. An extreme coupon-er, pageant mom, and soon-to-be grandmother of her teen's baby, she was made for reality TV.

Full size
The entire show is basically in subtitles, due to the family's accent.

Full size
On the first episode, they bought junk food at an auction, watched Alana in a pageant, and attended "The Redneck Summer Games."

Alana lost the pageant, BTW.

Full size
They also talked a lot about farting.

Mama believes that if you fart 12 - 15 times a day, you can lose weight. All of the females in the family weighed themselves and shared the results on television, including teenager Chubs. It's another indication of their extreme comfort with themselves.

Full size
To help Alana feel better about losing the pageant, they decided to get her a pet pig. She named him "Glitzy."

Full size
Glitzy is gay, according to Alana.

Glitzy is gay because "you can't tell a pig what to do."

If you haven't been convinced about the merits of this show yet, let me leave you with this: Mama's explanation of how a vagina looks like a split open biscuit from Hardee's.

it's on " The Learning Channel" well Bravo started out Like HBO a Pay Channel and only showed Foreign films , I guess you have to change and conform to the level of the viewer .
