Just curious - has Stevie been doing the "baby, baby, baby" on GDW the entire tour? I know she did it in Nashville.
Also, there is an army green version of the Soldier's Angel shirt. Is it available anywhere online? I can't find it and I passed it up... and now I'm sad. :distress:
Thanks for your response. :wavey:

She did the baby baby baby thing in CT. I haven't yet seen the green Soliders Angel shirt online yet. Should be there though after the tour ends.

Stevie has done the "baby, baby, baby " version of GDW on her solo tours for years now. Way before her Soundstsge DVD, Crystal Visions tour. She has never done that version with The Mac. I like both of her versions.

I've said it before. Without any exaggeration I feel Gold Dust Woman was at its peak during the Unleashed Tour. Better then the dance tour, better then the rumours tour. Its her one classic song that has just gotten progressively better. Say You Will Tour was awseome. then she took it up a notch on Soundstage. And then she topped Soundstage the entire Unleashed tour. I dont want to leave Lindsey out for his magical guitar work he added in 09. And John as always is a key to the song. I do feel 2009 was the peak tho. 2010 and beyond was the first time GDW has not improved tour over tour. Hopefully they add a new spark in 2013 or retire it in favor of SOTM.

I do feel that it's her one Rumours song that is still fresh and mysterious in concert. My favorite ending is the "you can't see me now. You can't feel me now. You can't save me now."

don't forget his guitar humping he must have also added in 2009 :wavey:
i love GDW - for me it is one of SN's best songs, and hope they do both GDW and SOTM in 2013 (and get rid of Rhiannon, Sara, and Dreams!).

No question that Sar won't be back, slim chance that Rhiannon would be dropped and no way at all will Dreams be dropped. That's the only song she's done at every show, every tour since 1976. It's not going anywhere.

You don't think they will do Sara again? Why not?

I don't really see it being done again mainly because for whatever reason Stevie thinks it doesn't work on stage. She has said that the song brings the show to a screeching halt. I don't know why she thinks it's any slower than Storms or Beautiful Child.
I would love for Angel to return to the set. Sisters Of The Moon has been rumored to be coming back, but I'll believe that when I see it. If they do indeed tour next year, they should do a handful of hits, but dig into the catalog, do I Don't Want To Know, Frozen Love, Blue Letter, Sisters, Angel, Tango In The Night etc really mix it up. I think Tango In The Night would be killer on stage.

i have my list of requests for Lindsey's songs that i would like to hear on Mac tour, if he doesn't want to do too many Mac songs solo. first being Walk A Thin Line, of course. also What Makes You Think You're The One and The Ledge (and Not That Funny) would be on my list.
Blue Letter or Tango would not be on my list (although many people seem to want Tango). they've done Blue Letter on enough past tours, and it's not even written by FM members.
but of Stevie's songs, i would LOVE to hear SOTM and Angel. wouldn't mind Storms or Beautiful Child either.

I'm not even happy Blue Letter is on the White album, although it sounds great and was fantastic live when Christine was there. No covers.

I don't like the ad lib of the 'baby baby ' its boring & to me it doesn't ad anything to the song itself. Its filler to me. At least the running with the shadows makes more sense but the 'baby' part has gotta go. IMO anyway. I just don't like it.

I would have agreed about Sara until she did it again on the Unleashed Tour. It was resurrected in 2004 for the second leg of the Say You Will Tour and I wouldn't have been surprised if it was dropped altogether once they regrouped in 2009....but there it was!
I am totally on board with all of your suggestions. I think Tango would be great, but it would likely have to either be strangely paired together with, or be included at the expense of I'm So Afraid due to the similarities in the two songs. I don't know if I can see Lindsey ever dropping ISA at this point from the set. Also, I really can't believe once Chris left that they did not resurrect Frozen Love. Well, actually, given Fleetwood Mac being notorious for not expanding the setlist much, I can believe it...but it just seems to make a lot of sense for them to honor their Buckingham Nicks legacy and what better way than to play THE song that led to their being asked into the band? I think it would be a killer as the final encore.

This. It would be a show-stopper and I don't know why they don't do it. The fans would go nuts!

I hope they do sisters of the moon, Angel, Don't Let Me Down Again would be awesome Frozen Love. They need to pump this tour if they are going to do it next year I don't see another new album from them I would be surprised but if not cool with it and hope they drag out classic's they have not done in a very long time I am for it next year if they do.:nod::]:blob2::blob1::D

Oh, I don't agree at all! I love this ending. I think it adds a nice, new dimension to the song, it's kind of like an update for an aging song, aging woman "you should see me now." I like it when her old songs evolve a little from the originals. Take Rhiannon for instance. That song has taken on so many different transformations and has really evolved throughout the different stages of Stevie's life. I love it!
