Has anyone else noticed the random connection between the song "Dreams" and the number two? It was the second track on Rumours, The Dance, Live In Boston, and The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac. It was also the second single released from Rumours, and is often the second song in Fleetwood Mac and Stevie setlists. Just a random thing I noticed today lol.

And it was on Stevie's second Fleetwood Mac album.
Doesn't she usually play this in the second spot in her solo show as well?

And, there would probably be some Stevie-haters who would say that the song SMELLS like the result of a #2, as well.
But, I'm not one of those people. Really.

Her voice is beautiful on Dreams.
Even Christine thought so.
In some old Christine interview talking about the song Dreams, she said "...and I thought she sang it beautifully."

Her first album was as a duo.

"Dreams" is an anagram for "Madres," which could symbolize 2 Spanish mothers.

During the taping of the Dance, didn't Stevie mess up the lyrics to Dreams twice?
I do remember reading about that in The Ledge. They had to tape it again and Stevie was upset, but Christine told her not to worry, even great actors forget their lines while recording a movie, or something like that. I never knew if that episode was actually true.

Dreams is the counterpart of Go Your Own Way: Dreams was hopeful, you know, it's all the break up coming, but it's hopeful that we will be okay. Unlike Go Your Own Way which was not hopeful that we will be okay.
So it's like the yin and yang, how polar opposites or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world.

I had heard of Fleetwood Mac growing up just like I heard about a lot of "old" bands and artist. I just knew them as that hokey "old" band from like 100 years ago that did some hokey song about not stopping till tomorrow.
About seven years ago I started embracing older music and artists. In 2009, while browsing Amazon looking for new songs to acquire I ran across Dreams and said "Oh, I like this song". So that was my first Fleetwood Mac song. A few weeks later I discovered "Edge of Seventeen" and remembered my mom blasting that song from the radio back in the '90s on the classic rock station.
Early 2010, listening to my newly acquired Music Choice channels on televison, the 80's channel is playing "Gypsy" never heard this song before, but I absolutely freakin' adored it. So I said to myself I gotta check out this band some more. I went to the internet and read up and then got the '88 GH from my local libary. And so began my journey....

Call me devil's advocate.
You can say this stuff about any song.
Example: You Make Lovin Fun.
It is the second Christine single released from Rumours.
It is on side 2.
It's the second song on side 2.
There are 2 hits of the drum before the song kicks in.
Christine wrote the song in the second half of the 70's.

This is true, I suppose. I was just pointing out that Dreams seems to be track 2 alot, and some other things. Just find it amusing, is all.

Come to think of it, she did the same with the Eagles. I'll stop there.

But then I remember the 1997 cover and that counts too anyway, though it was a differente era.
