[From the WLIF-FM CBS Local station, there's a picture of someone dressed in Stevie garb]

Is This Stevie Nicks?

Nope, a good Stevie look a like, though. I have so much fun checking out the Stevie Nicks costume party at every concert. I am so looking forward to the ‘Stevie Girls’. The outfits are amazing! This gal was photographed in Atlantic City 2 years ago at the Stevie Nicks show. So tomorrow night, before Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart take the stage in DC….I will be camera ready looking for the ‘Stevie Girls’. I will give a review on the concert Monday on the Facebook page. If you are going to the show tomorrow night, please post on the www.facebook.com/gregdiane page. Rock On Gold Dust Woman!

it's Friday.. it's payday.. and I'm seeing Stevie Nicks today... triple play day!

Thanks for sharing the article - I remember back in the day when so many women, and an occasional guy, would wrap themselves in velvet at Nicks/Macs concerts. I don't see it as much anymore, but always love to see the "Stevie Girls" at the concerts.

Enjoy everyone who is going tonight - I'm looking forward to seeing Ms. Nicks in my hometown!

:D

YOU GUYS....OMFG shes in FINE FORM. just finished her set that started at 7:30. Tho by the time I send this off it will be 10 mins later as my phoe sux. She Sounded AMAZING. No horseness (i do tend to noticed when the pipes aren't top notch. not like it matters). Compared to Nashville might be fuller set too. I'll try to nail these in order. Will also update re duet with rod and post more later.

I'm going to the Pittsburgh show tomorrow and I'm a little dissapointed that Stevie and Rod might not be doing the duets anymore. I was really looking forward to hearing Leather and Lace.

From all accounts, roddy doesn't know the words anyway, so you would have heard Stevie singing it solo..which considering Stewart would have been better. I was kinda hoping she would put it back into her set list with her singing coach as kind of a statement of sorts..
But she is too classy for that.. Still "_)

Yeah, I'm going to Fort Lauderdale Saturday with two friends. I had showed them some youtube videos of Stevie/Rod singing Young Turks. They loved it saying it looked like so much fun.
Anyways looks like the duets are over.
Did Rod introduce Stevie tonight?? or is that over too?

No intro from Rod.

I believe someone that went to the concert wrote that he did not introduce her. so it is in effect 2 separate shows as it probably should remain for the balance of the tour..

It doesn't surprise me that now they stopped the duet part of the show, they are not compatable at all Stevie does try to work with Rod, Rod seems like he is not interested at all to tour with Stevie. Stevie doesn't need to be an opening act for anyone she is a legend that should only be doing an evening with Shows.

made coffee and thinking about last night's show.. here are some of my thoughts...

Stevie sounded beautiful.. her voice soared over the arena. I was in sec 120 - the side of the stage so I had an interesting view. She gave us Rhiannon twirls...

The arena filled up as soon as Stevie opened with Rock and Roll. The arena probably held around 11,000 folks last night. No seats behind the stage, my section was about half full, and the straight back 400 nose bleed seats were curtained off... still a very warm DC crowd and Stevie felt it.. she mentioned a couple of times what a great audience we were.

Her band was tight and really sounded good - maybe side seats are best because I've been to many Verizon Center shows and the sound can sometimes be horrible - it's a sports arena, not a music venue - play the FILLMORE in Silver Springs Stevie.. please! a great new music venue located in the city that you wrote a song about.. but Stevie Nicks really sounded good last night.. I guess a few days to rest her voice was what she needed.

Stevie talked to Waddy alot.. never noticed it before but I had a bird's eye view of their banter.. what were they saying? I like the sound of this band - love Lenny, but I didn't miss the percusion. more of a raw rock sound.

The setlist is perfect for this audience - people stayed and listened, and the rod fans I met were great.. everyone around me loved her. Ending with Landslide just really melts the audience - I kept looking at the crowd and most everyone was standing and applauding when she finished. It was an early, short, but rocking Stevie Nicks concert.. I went to get a beer during the intermission (between shows) and it was still light outside. Maybe that's why she didn't sing Moonlight. I missed the IYD tracks that she played at the Beacon in NYC, but we got three - Secret Love (Moonlight instead??), Soldier's Angel (a very dark moment of the concert, but Stevie makes it work and sincerely gets her message about supporting our soliders to the crowd}. Its interesting that she moved Stand Back before Soldiers' Angel - i kind of liked the upbeat Stand Back following such a downer of a song. it still worked.. and I love For What It's Worth, so was glad she kept it in the setlist. I did the driving my car and knocking on the door motions with Stevie..

She really did sound good... her voice just soared. However, when she was speaking right before the start of Soldier's Angel, there was a loud and annoying echo of her voice - not sure what happened but the echo was distracting - she does talk a lot about this song... same story told a litle different - i like how she says give just $5 because it's not much and every little bit does make a difference.

Awesome performance. DavidM joined me in sec 120 and he commented that this was one of Stevie's better shows.. we both agreed that her voice was sweetness.

Good time.. stayed for most of Rod (no duets..) It really was like two separate concerts. The crowd loved Stevie, but most came to see Rod. His stage was bright and white, his band - and ladies - were sexy, and he sounded good - he is a ham. I also noted Stevie didn't mention Rod, and Rod didn't mention Stevie.. kind of odd.. but still worked as a rock and roll show.

:):) i love new Fillmore! but SS Fillmore holds about 1500 when standing (never been to a sit-down show there but it's advertised as 300). i actually had to laugh reading this b/c i've been crusading for Lindsey to play solo there for a while now. when i mentioned it to him it was obvious he had no clue what i was talking about (Fillmore? Silver Spring? what?)

You know,...... I have a feeling that is where she went after the Cincy show and her cryptic "I can't tell why " tidbit... It would also explain her voice being so tired after a 3 day lay-off...... I mean never a single take with Lindsey....

To be honest though.. I would much rather see a Buckingham Nicks reunion tour then another Mac tour..

Yeah, she said that right before Nashville and Lindsey was in Nashville too. I'm sure they saw each other there. I can't dare hope they worked on any music together, but there's no shortage of musicians around that vicinity, that's for sure.
