Just saw a promo-tease for it. It mentioned an interview
but didn't mention a song. We shall see.

I hope someone will upload it, or at the very least be able
to view it from the show's website. There's been so much
bad weather around here that I don't want to leave my
equipment plugged up.

Three guesses to what they'll talk about:

1. The Buckingham Nicks Reunion Tour.
2. Where's Barry?
3. Why she's including Sisters Of The Moon at a few shows later this year.

I'm recording it and will watch it later, I don't like the CBS team, Charlie Rose always looks like he's half asleep, Gayle King is Oprah lite (it was really bad when she was a local anchor here in CT, she would ALWAYS mention that she was friends with Oprah) now she is just the poor mans Oprah.

FM touring in 2013 "it's done" i.e. it's happening "It's what we do. I do my thing for a bit" and then the band gets back together.

She would start to go into her sort of lengthy Stevie-story answers and Gayle was kinda jumping in and moving her along. Morning tv gives no one time for anything; it's why I typically don't even bother to watch them. They get a question out and give no time for an answer.

Kinda glad Charlie Rose wasn't in on the interview. He interviewed LB on his own show some years ago and he was very snarky about Stevie and literally wrinkled his nose up and sorta said he didn't find her that talented.

Just finished watching the show. The 1st and ONLY time I will.. why is it that they waste all that time showing a history of Fleetwood Mac every interview?

I swear she started to say something else about the Mac touring and got cut off.. so I wonder what that was..
The Bob Welch topic was not shown ?? Wasn't this suppose to be live? So was it edited?
Anyway, SOO cute they showed her in the chair with her feet not touching the floor and kicking away like a little kid.. "_)

Did anyone else watching it get the sense she started to say something else about the Mac that might have opened the door for a reason they might not tour when she got cut off???

Stevie Nicks remembers former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch

July 11, 2012 5:40 AM

Stevie Nicks remembers former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch as funny, smart and "one of those jazz guitarists that could just play any chord in the world." Nicks was shocked to learn of his apparent suicide just last month, telling Gayle King, "I can't even tell you what in the world would have pushed him to do something that crazy."

http://gothamist.com/2012/07/11/stevie_nicks_says_fleetwood_mac_wil.php

The Gothamist

Last year Lindsey Buckingham announced that Fleetwood Mac would be touring in 2012, which he later told us would be delayed, saying, "It’s funny because six months ago or less even there was quite a bit of talk. I know Stevie was talking quite a bit about it in interviews... then I think somehow she started to feel she wanted a little more time to work this [solo] album." So here we are again, with the band tugging at our hopeful heartstrings—this morning in an interview with CBS, Nicks said the group is reuniting in 2013.

Nicks says everyone is on board for "next year, so far... it's the plan. Because that's what we do. I do my thing. And Lindsey is out doing his thing now" (Buckingham is currently on tour until at least September). Presumably when they finish up their solo stuff, they'll focus on getting the gang back together, though it's unclear if Christine McVie will return—she left the band in 1998 and hasn't been present (except for in the audience) at their previous reunions.

AND I CAN ONLY HOPE AND PRAY THAT SHE WAS GOING TO SAY " if there's no new album"

I didn't like that statement from her. Maybe she didn't think

him not wanting to live.

Now, I'm not saying that it's ever right to commit suicide. I

I am sure she meant it crazy in the sense it was so unexpected, and so out of character. After losing her mom the way she did, having a friend commit suicide would throw anyone. Just from the look on her face, I don't think it ever occurred to her to be asked that particular question. It was in poor taste but considering what I saw of the show before she came on .........

As for Gayle King.... she should climb back under her Oprah rock...
I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt.. as that dress she was squeezed into obviously cut off the flow of oxygen to her brain.... but I understand from several people. she is that classless ..........................

What was Mick's quote about Bob's suicide? I can't remember now, but I thought it was something that came across different than he probably meant it. I'm sure it's hard to know exactly what to say, when the subject is so tragic and your words are so scrutinized.

I thought Stevie looked fabulous in this video.

Gayle King has always annoyed me. I thought the interview was overall good..but, it just irritated me the way she kept probing with "Are you still just as creative without drugs?" question.
That is a ridiculous question, in my opinion.
What is she going to say: "Why hell no Gayle! Since I quit the straw and mirror I haven't written anything but ****!"

C'mon!!!

"I know there is a push on to get Bob Welch inducted into the HOF and alot of blaming people for not including him with FM... From different things I have read Chris and Stevie had little to do with the decision as it was strictly Mike Fleetwood's call....
I am sure if he can figure out a way to make some cash from it Bob Welch will not only get in, but I am sure Mick will be happy to collect the award for him.....
I have always heard there is a reason Mick keeps his balls on a leash "

Exactly! Like she wanted some confession that whatever Stevie did in the past was wrong. And, I don't think Stevie lives her life that way.

I always think it's funny when people question Stevie "never marrying" when she was, indeed, someone's wife (for a very short time, but still...) And there was something else that set off a red flag but I forgot what it was.

It will come to me later, I'm sure.

a friend used to work for Madonna and told me ,with all her clients Liz Rosenberg supplies all the questions that can be asked , or are approved by her and if at any point they veer from them the interview is stopped either by Ms. Rosenberg or an assistant of hers . no surprise questions ever notice the question are the same no matter who's doing the interview .

The unfortunate truth about CBS's morning programming is that it is perennially in last place in the ratings for a good reason; they just can't seem to hire the right on-air personalities for this timeslot. I never watch CBS in the morning, and this pretty much confirms why. The atmostphere in that studio was frosty- almost like an interrogation chamber. And witness the utter lack of chemistry and/or interaction between Erica Hill (who I believe has the most symmetrically perfect face I have ever seen) and Gayle King; they are practically seated in different zip codes. It's quite a contrast when compared with the informal, warm, personable vibe given off by the FOX morning program. What Gayle needs to realize is that this is Stevie Nicks, not the president of Syria. She needs to save her "gotcha!" style of interrogation for someone who has actually served a legitimate public disservice. I suspect that her interview style would be drastically different if she was speaking with someone on the list of "Oprah-approved" performers, e.g., Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, etc. Unfortunately Oprah really doesn't get Stevie and accordingly she gets treated with the same level of respect as the Octomom.

So True, So True and Stevie is high above these people and it shows and she handles herself well not to stoop to there level in these interviews

Wasn't there some little snide comment when Stevie was on Oprah about Stevie being called Queen of Rock and Roll? I thought I saw reports that Oprah felt that it should be Tina Turner...

Gayle is of course Oprah's BFF, so...maybe there's some carryover with Gayle about Stevie not being all that or something.....

I agree.CBS morning show always had boring hosts.they can't match up with the Today show and GMA and Fox.I did not like the part when Gayle mentioned about everyone knows Stevie was having affair with Lindsey.I think Gayles probaly trying to get some more experience with this talk over style "gotcha!" type interviewing to get on 60 minutes some time in the future. Gayle is no Oprah. We know. She should stick to news reporting.

I vaguely remember something about that... but I also remember that Oprah did in fact call Stevie the Queen of Rock and Roll on the show.

I mean, I didn't think Gayle seemed like she didn't like Stevie at all. I just felt like Gayle was trying too hard to get some like juicy gossip story or something out of her. Let's be real, at this point, I think any juicy gossip we're gonna get -from any of them - is already out there. If she hasn't talked about something in the past 40 years I really don't think she's going to randomly blurt it out now.

Even when Gayle asked about all the hooking up between Fleetwood Mac members, Stevie literally would only talk about Lindsey, even after Gayle tried to nudge her in another direction by saying something like, "No no, you know what I mean, after that" and Stevie just kept talking about Lindsey lmao

And she definitely talked over Stevie a lot and wouldn't let her finish her stories, which is rude in my opinion.

Stevie was tired out with no or little sleep after the Boston show. She probably was pissed that Gayle talked over her as she was trying answer the questions. She's a pro She did not show she was pissed off or being tired.

Stevie's trending on Twitter. I think because of what she said about Fleetwood Mac in this interview. I mentioned in the Rumours forum that people tweeted that Mac should perform during Halftime at the Super Bowl next year.

I think they should in celebration of Rumours 35 year anniversary. NFL pays for the stage. It would be crazy!!! Strobe lights during The Chain solo...ah...

I think they get about 13 minutes. I think Second Hand News, The Chain, Go Your Own Way, and Don't Stop would be the perfect set. Madonna cut her songs a bit and I think that worked out fine. She performed 4 songs. I think Mac could manage that but keep the solo in The Chain...it would be perfect for lighting effects :] And of course in GYOW :)

Stevie is far away from her drug years, Stevie should have did a ninja kick to gayle kings head and what about Stevie's publists where were they should have said no quiestions about the drug past and scandel past. How dear Gayle ask the quiestion whether she if she is more creative with the drugs or with out the drugs stupid quiestion really gayle.

Stevie's people have never said not to ask about the drugs in the last 20 years. Why would they start now? I don't think she minds talking about them. Plus, even though CBS This Morning's ratings aren't that great, Stevie's people are hardly in a position to be dictating to the show. It would be easy enough on them to pass on her. They'd probably bend over backwards for Katy Perry, but not Stevie.

a friend used to work for Madonna and told me ,with all her clients Liz Rosenberg supplies all the questions that can be asked , or are approved by her and if at any point they veer from them the interview is stopped either by Ms. Rosenberg or an assistant of hers . no surprise questions ever notice the question are the same no matter who's doing the interview .

I've seen Stevie look like a question has caught her by surprise quite often. I suspect the questions are the same because interviewers are lazy and pull from the list given to them, but it has appeared to me in the past that some unexpected queries have been launched at her a few times, all the same.

I remember I saved a 360 show where Erica and Anderson were talking about Stevie. It was when those school children in New York were singing Landslide for her and Erica introduced the segment and Anderson seemed kind of confused by it. He heard her say "Stevie Nicks" but didn't get the context at first and he was going, "what? What?" and he was being kind of adorable and I just left that whole episode on tivo.

Stevie Nicks on CBS, confirms band reunion, Gayle is rude, etc

Read more at ONTD: http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/70337985.html#ixzz20ROjSMPu

Singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks, best known for her work as lead singer of Fleetwood Mac, says the group is reuniting in 2013.

Wednesday on "CBS This Morning," Nicks said a reunion will happen "next year, so far." She added, "...It's the plan. Because that's what we do. I do my thing. And Lindsey (Buckingham is) out doing his thing now."

Nicks also discussed life in the limelight in the early days of Fleetwood Mac, the band's drug use, how she began her solo career and her relationship with her fellow band mates.

Gayle kind of cut her off a lot and was pretty ballsy asking about cross-pollination and boinking.... but otherwise, this was a great interview.

Also, Happy Birthday Christine McVie!

why do I get the feeling that if Fleetwood Mac tours Greatest Hit again it wil be mostly to make Mick solvent again. "_)

I get so tired of them beating Rumours into the ground too, but I have to say, I hope they at least have something to promote! Stevie toured in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2012 and FM toured in 2009 with NOTHING to promote. Sure, Stevie is out there "promoting" IYD, but she isn't offering anything new with this tour and FM sure didn't offer anything new with Unleashed. I'm to the point where I wouldn't care if this was a Rumours 35th anniversary tour as long as they had something NEW to put out or had the whole Rumours band there. I mean hell, if they are going on another greatest hits tour, would it kill them to release a greatest hits package like Crystal Visions? Can't we get all the Mac videos on a DVD? Or at least release some of their old **** (Tusk Doc, Mirage Concert, Tango Concert, The Dance on BluRay) on DVD? Knowing them tho, they will enlist Christopher Nicks to design some new shirts and then hit the road with the same old setlist plus two new songs.

Gayle did get on my nerves too. But, Stevie was intentionally talking about Lindsey. Gayle was pushing, trying to get her to discuss the "cross pollination", as she called it. I don't think Stevie liked where she was headed and that's why she wanted to reiterate how she and Lindsey had been in love. I had to laugh at that because Stevie definitely knows how to talk around something. Pro!

Check out this subtle expression after Gayle said "boinking":

Technically she was married, however briefly. But that ill-conceived union had no relation to a traditional "we're in love, let's get married" scenario. It was a matter of two emotionally distraught people dealing with shared tragedy, trying to do the best thing for a motherless baby. I understand why Stevie sometimes overlooks or dismisses it.

What I love about her recent interviews is that she is so confident and composed. Stevie's more articulate and present now than ever before. Truly impressive at this stage in her life.

well she's had a lot of practice , she is answering the same questions for a few years now, any kind of spontaneous talk show died with Johnny Carson Mike Douglas , and Merv Griffin ,(Letterman/Craig Ferguson tries to keep it fresh LENO IS FOR THE EXTREME BRAIN DEAD ) Now it's all about the BRAND(the Artist) , otherwise it will confuse the consumer(you the fan),it's about convincing the consumer this is what they want/need the kartrashian woman is a perfect example her was a woman with no talent , who's mother sold a porn tape of her being urinated on by the brother of a fading star , and it worked ..like reality tv the media sells it you buy it .

She will probably never do an in-depth interview unless it will further the brand, or sell a product.

The interview was beautiful and terrible at the same time.
Beautiful, because Stevie said wonderful things and she also mentioned Chris and the fact that she was her best friend (and she said she's hot!), so she was devastated when in 1998 she left the band.
Terrible because Gayle King, the "journalist" (but I wouldn't call her like that, at this point) kept overspeaking her with stupid "Hmm, hmmm, yeah, yeah" sounds and interrupting with inconvenient and indelicate questions, trying in all possible ways to find out gossip about something that happened 30 years ago. Oh, and that word..what was it? "Boinking"? Well, it was the best of the worst. Maybe Ms. King forgot that it wasn't a porn show  And then, was it REALLY necessary to reminds her about her drugs addiction? It's another thing that is part of her past by now.
Anyway, Stevie was great. This woman must be really a saint for having so much patience.... She's really a pro, as many of you said.

Gayle did get on my nerves too. But, Stevie was intentionally talking about Lindsey.

She started out that way, from the first question, which I found amusing. If Gayle had asked her about exercise she would have said, "Well, as I say to Lindsey when he and I discuss keeping in shape, listening to my songs on the treadmill will really give you a great work out."

I didn't think the interview was bad at all. Because it has been such a long passage of time, I think the boinking and cross-pollination references would be amusing, if we hadn't been reading about that stuff for the last 100 years. I thought it was bad because it was so stale, not because it was presumptuous. The only thing I think was out of place was, "didn't your mother ever teach you . . ." Stevie should have answered, "She did, but she's dead now."

I'm not sure why Erica was so quiet, but I thought Gayle was ok, overall. I just wish Stevie had gotten to finish her thought about the tour. Gayle's like, "Did you hear Erica's question," and I was thinking, "Well, would you let us hear Stevie's answer?"

Yeah, it was right before a commercial break a segment or two before she came on. They were sitting on adjoining couches chatting it up.

V did post this pic yesterday while en route to Mohegan, obviously with Stevie. I'm still not one-hundred percent sure whose sitting in front of her

Interesting. Sort of looked like Waddy attire, but I think the hands are too young.

I believe it was the guy that plays violin in her opening act.. He was in a couple photos and I swear that;s him.. I forget now where I saw the pictures..

If anyone that "taped" the CBS show has a clip of the green room ... feel free to share...
:D

Kinda glad Charlie Rose wasn't in on the interview. He interviewed LB on his own show some years ago and he was very snarky about Stevie and literally wrinkled his nose up and sorta said he didn't find her that talented.

Really?? I thought Charlie was sort of enamored. He kept wanting to talk about her. lol

I read that Norah O'Donnell is replacing Erica Hill on the Morning Show. This must have been in the works when Stevie was there. I think Erica just asked Stevie one question. It actually seemed like a two person interview, not like the View where you have 10 people (well, ok, 4) talking over each other to ask you questions.

It was a great interview, Stevie was in good spirits and looked beautiful........but yeah Gail King making the comment, "There was alot of pollinating going on" was kind of tacky. If she knew anything about Stevie......she would know Stevie would not like that question at all,

The other comment I found not cool was when she told Stevie "Didn't your mother ever tell you............????" Way to be sensitive to someone that lost their mother a few months ago...........but, Stevie kept it together. Just makes me love her even more, she is so delicate......but so strong.

I agree I really not big fan of gayle and oprah anyway, I give Oprah alot of credit for helping others and her accomplishments in life,There was a quick moment looking at Stevie when they were done with the interview Stevie had a sad look in her face, I want to know where her Liz Rosenberg was during this inteview. Stevie past should not be talked about anymore its been said and done may times over she should talk about what she is doing know and plans for the future she would like to accomplish next.

Does not change the fact that she is one of the WORST interviewers I have ever seen.. And from her actions you could not tell she had graduated from anything but the school Oprah bought me this job!!!!!!
And that proves you cannot buy intelligence or common sense no matter how much money your girlfriend has......
