If you follow me on Tumblr you may have seen this, but I wrote it a few nights ago at like, 1 in the morning haha. Is it any good lol?

Enchanting, beautiful sister of the moon
I can only long to be like you
Strong and wise through her darkest times
Ink to her paper, she writes and she rhymes

Poet in our hearts, our gypsy queen
like a crescent moon, she shines and gleams
Our strange love for her will not cease
She's a desert angel to say the least

I hear your melody and have no fears
I have only love, no more tears
My ghosts you've helped banish away
I only dream of thanking you one day

I hope to meet you face to face
So I may thank you, my saving grace~

Interesting. This reminds me of some of the Marian prayers of the Catholic faith.

I think it's very good. And flows well, too. I like your choice of words. I think the best writing is done in the middle of the night.

Stevie sister of the moon,

He's a hero of guitar[/QUOTE]

Stevie sister of the moon,
Lindsey brother to the sun
Made kin through fated dreams that loom
The shadows lovers run

You big tease! Maybe we could co-write this song (poem)
together. I toyed with the idea today. The idea was about
these two lovers who couldn't be together because like the
sun and the moon they... (I dare not finish it here, it's not
copyrighted yet).

PolishStevieFan & WildHearted,
Good start, but I need more.

Oh totally! I'd love to co-write with you, good plan. I toyed with it a bit just now as I'm typing this, actually haha. Just a couple of lines I added but we can compare notes and see. Want me to PM you?

Can I give it a go? I'm no poet but...

Stevie sister of moon,
Lindsey brother to the sun,
Mick the uncle of the loons,
while John feigns the part of lonely one,
And don't forget the fifth firefly,
Christine, now free from roads rough fray
in a place near London town
over the ocean, far away.
Never far from stage lights blinding
but all are free from strange love's binding
except the two whose hearts contend
to never let that chain be broken
and though they both true love pretend
A greater truth is never spoken...
The girl who was just a tag along
Became the ruler of the song.
And the songbirds wailed a mournful tune
as they watched the sun
be eclipsed by the moon.

Justdreamin', that was brilliant.
The best part of the poem:
The girl who was just a tag along
Became the ruler of the song.
And the songbirds wailed a mournful tune
as they watched the sun
be eclipsed by the moon.

Yeah, I liked that too. I've often thought that there were shades of A Star Is Born in Stevie's story with FM.

Good to see original creativity on the Ledge!

Dove,
Sounds good to me. We might be the
next Jack & Meg. You'll have to be more
of the lyricist though. I'm just an idea man.

Justdreamin,
That was great.
