'If you think you know the truth about this band, you can think again,' says Nicks, 61. 'Other than the people involved, nobody knows what really went on.
'One day, when I'm an old lady, I'm going to tell the whole tale and people will be amazed. The truth will blow your mind.
'The story is deep, dark and heavy. But it's also beautiful, sexy and more romantic than you could ever imagine. Now's not the time, though. You'll have to wait ten years for that one.'

Maybe we'll get the Rhiannon movie and the Ladybug and Goldfish book then too.....

I hope that book contains a barf bag.
I'm going to need it reading about a
74 year old woman's tall grass tales.

When they finally come to bury us, maybe then we'll tell the truth.

How does Stevie know that in 10 years she'll still be mentally sound enough to write a book?

Oh this woman...

"I want to write a book, and I want to do my paintings and get them out to the world. And that's what I'll do in another 10 years when I decide to really stop what I'm doing right now."
-Stevie Nicks, July 14, 1991

"One day when I'm 60 or so and too old to rock a little I will write the whole story."

When she gets around to writing that book, no one will care.

I was just thinking about something this morning so it's funny that I find this thread today... I wish I could remember where it is but I heard an interview with Stevie, or perhaps it's one of those things where she's talking to someone and a tape recorder is on or she's in the studio with the tape running, and it's around the time of Tusk or Belladonna and she says something like "well, I'm 27 now, so I have to get all this stuff done. Can you imagine me being in my 60's doing rock and roll?"

And please don't get on me about the facts or the quote, my memory sucks. If you know what this is, please post the correct quote and/or info. I wish I could remember where it was from.

And while I was writing this it made me think about all these precious ramblings we have of Stevie in the studio. I mean, studio time and those big reels of audio tape were not cheap. Imagine how much money was spent with Stevie at 3 in the morning recording Julia talking about how she makes great spaghetti and not being able to get past "that damn note!!!" LOL.

She'll never write an autobiography. I doubt she'll ever write a book of any kind. I think there's a lot she would like to do, but she'll never get around to doing any of it. She can barely get it together enough to record albums and tour. Maybe if she stops that stuff we'll get a book, but I don't want a book that bad. Okay, I do, but I don't want her to stop making music to do it!

Okay, I do, but I don't want her to stop making music to do it! To me Stevie 'says' she wants to do alot of things but how many have happend really. Like the Rhiannon movie etc. Honestly, she 'could' do them but I think the true answer is she doesn't 'want' to complete these things for some reason that we'll never know why. She always likes to appear 'busy' but well being busy doesn't mean that you are finishing something. I wish she would write this book that we've heard about for decades now. I wish she'd just release tons of stuff (demos/outtakes/masters/ rare photos/a clothing line/rare posters etc) same with Fmac. GET this stuff out there NOW when fans (true hardcore fans) want them. Cause heck 'all' of US here are getting OLDER too. Like someone said it'll be released what 20 yrs??? from now & no one will care or we'll all be gone who knows. None of us is promised tomorrow. Not even Stevie. I guess her family will reap the benefits which I hate to say this thats why NOW really is the time same with FMac stuff & Lindsey etc. Not later NOW. IMO anyway, some thoughts.:shrug:

You hit the nail on the head right here, Sue. Thanks--believe you me I 'wish' she'd just stop talking & start doing. Though I guess its easy for us to say were not her. I do wish the best for her but also for us as 'fans' also. Heck she could release a 'new' box set though she's only released 2 solo cds of new material since Enchanted was released back in 98 . TISL & IYD to me the live cds & GHits cds don't really count because its not new material. Still doesn't mean she couldn't 'add' bonus material from prior yrs to it as well. Oh as a fan the wheels are always turning so to speak ---the wealth of wonderful ideas. It almost makes me sad.:shrug:
