It def holds up, but I agree with you about some of the song lengths. I go through phases, but sometimes skip 1, 2, 4, 5.

I still love the cd. FWIW will go down as one of my favorite Stevie songs. The cd is strong and Stevie should be proud. Cheaper than free and Everybody loves you will always be my least favorite. Most disappointing closing song on ANY Stevie album....yes, even worse than Jane. Still yet. I love in your dreams!

I don't care for Cheaper Than Free and You May Be The One all that much. Other than that I still think it's one of her best and most consistent records ever.

I still love this CD. I love "Secret Love", "You Could Be The One", and ofcourse.....I tend to always go straight to "Moonlight". I love love love "Moonlight" and have not gotten burned out on it yet. The last songs that I listened to forever without getting burned out was "Rooms On Fire", and "Love Is"...... she is still giving us some great music. :)

i think bad single releases helped, but it would be nice to get some single edits - the single edit to ForWhat its Worth was better, please edit Italian summer, annabelle lee and moonlight and see what we get

It's still Excellent for me. It's still the best work she's done, for me, since WH. I think it's lightyears better then what Lindsey offered. My only problem is one she's had for a while. She has trouble editing her stuff. Songs could have been left off and/or shortened. Other then that wonderful album. I'd dump.....Secret Love, Everybody loves you, Cheaper then Free and I've cooled on Anabel Lee, Also I wish she could have Shortened Ghosts are gone and Wide Sargasso Sea. They just go on a little long. I made a 9 track version that I like. runs 46 mins. And i still listen to the original on occasion.

A lot of songs need shorterened and it looks like they could of done it. The radio edits were good. The album would of been tighter with more edits.

There should have been a remix single on one of these tunes put out there.

See? I lump For What It's Worth as one of the worst Stevie tracks along side Jane... but Everybody Loves You is one of the highlights of the album to me. I guess that's the great thing about Stevie... her solo works contain such a potpourri of styles that there's something for everyone.

Otherwise we agree: I still very much enjoy the album 1 year on. I still think quality wise, it's amongst her best solo works... which in my book are Bella Donna & Rock A Little. While there aren't any terribly iconic songs on In Your Dreams, I still think it's a fantastic album. It's meant to be listened to as a whole. Which is why I pretty much always listen to the full thing without skipping any tracks... every piece of the puzzle helps create the beautiful big picture.

I firmly agree that FWIW ruins the album, and that ELY is among her all-time best. And that there are no standout jaw-droppers here. To me the album is polished flat and hard, without the typical Stevie excesses or self-indulgencies. There is no BATB, EO17, HAEWAFY, Love Is, TISL on this album. Therefore, to me it is great to have a new solo work after 10 years, but it doesn't touch me like some others have.

I still love it.
Cheaper Than Free video is incredible. Can't wait to see what they've done in the documentary with Annabel Lee.

A year later,

Songs I skip:

Wide Sargossa Sea
New Orleans
Soldiers Angel
You May Be The One
Italian Summer

Listen to:

FWIW
In Your Dreams
Annabel Lee
My Heart
Everybody Loves You
Cheaper Than Free

I think that Cheaper Than Free is the saboteur. But coming at the end as it does, if I skip it (and I don't always) I don't ruin the album experience at all. I still here the collective.

The album still holds up for me, but I don't overplay it. I played it when it first came out and then I backed off, so it comes as a revelation when I return to it. Michele

I listen to it occasionally late at night on the iPad with the earphones on. Most of the time I play nearly all of the songs picking them out one at a time. Annabel Lee is still my favorite even though it is a bit over the top but it is still pure Stevie.

I've started skipping Wide Sargasso Sea. It started to feel a little grating after awhile.

I still feel that New Orleans and Soldier's Angel are well-intentioned in their lyrics, but not good as actual songs. I've warmed to the live performances of Soldier's Angel though.

I still really like this album. I feel that some of the songs are a little too long, but I really the songs and her voice.I like shorter pop songs, too.

My favorite last year was "Annabel Lee," and that is still, by far, my favorite. The words are wonderful, the melody is great, and the sound is classic Fleetwood Mac.

Waddy Wachtel's 10-second instrumental bridge is pointless and unimpressive. It should have been hatcheted.

IYD is still her best album ever. Every track is a winner, and I still agree with the reviews that said IYD is the first Nicks solo album to achieve the classic Mac sound.

"Moonlight" ranks up there with Nicks' best songs. "Annabel Lee" and "New Orleans" are right up there too. "Secret Love", "Everybody Loves You", and "Italian Summer" are wonderful. There isn't a bad song on the album.

I like the instrumental. Makes it grander. The vocal is just about perfection.

Love the jangles in the beginning too.

After one year of its official exsistence I must say that "In Your Dreams" is still the most played album in my private collection :) It's definately the album that I wanted to hear from Stevie at this moment of her career. Solid production, inspiring lyrics, superb vocals and great melodies make this album the strongest effort since "The Other Side of The Mirror". And what's important each listen brings out new elements and aspects of this music. For example in the beginning I wasn't keen on "Ghosts Are Gone" or "You May Be The One" but with time I have learned to appreciate them. The length of some of these songs is not a problem for me. "Annabel Lee" could last for 10 minutes and I would still love every single second of it :) Right now my favourite tracks include: "For What It's Worth" (definately one of the crowning achievements of Stevie's career), "Secret Love", "In Your Dreams", "Wide Sargasso Sea", "New Orleans" and "Annabel Lee". The only negative thing that can be said concerned with the album is the lack of commercial success.

I still listen to it quite a bit. My favorites are still the same: Moonlight, Annabel Lee (wish it was a little shorter), and You May Be the One. I still dislike FWIW. I have tried to like it, but I have no idea what anyone sees in that song. I also still don't care for Ghosts Are Gone.

Gawd, has it been a year?! I still LOVE the album!

'Moonlight' has become probably my all time favorite Stevie song, and I just adore the rest of the album - well, except for 'You May Be the One' (boring.... ), and 'Ghosts are Gone' (just alot of noise with lame lyrics).

Also, 'Cheaper than Free' could have been replaced by a stronger and better closing track ('Call On Me For Magic' for instance).

Anyways, I still listen to 'IYD' several times a week.

Oh, I got to see the 'IYD' tour in Saratoga Springs, NY last year, am heading to Boston in July to catch her show there! :blob2:

Im still listening to it also. I probably listen to it 60% of the time that I am in my car. My favorites are Secret Love, FWIW, WSS, YMBTO, and Italian Summer. Clunkers for me are Moonlight and Cheaper than Free. Im not a big fan of Ghosts are Gone either. I still love the album though.

I haven't listened to the album in its entirety in a while, but my opinion of it hasn't really changed. I'd still rank it as one of Stevie's top 3 solo albums.

Secret Love, Wide Sargasso Sea, Moonlight, and Annabel Lee are still in frequent iPod rotation. I disagree mightily that there are no "iconic" Stevie songs on this album. Those four I just mentioned are as iconic to me as Rooms on Fire or Edge of Seventeen.

I'm prone to thinking that anyone who would rate FWIW as one of Stevie's worst songs simply has bad taste in music.

For me "For What It's Worth", "Annabel Lee", "Wide Sargasso Sea" and "Moonlight" and "Soldier's Angel" are Iconic Stevie's songs. Of course being "iconic" doesn't mean that they are the best. "Moonlight" and "Soldier's Angel" sound iconic to me but are not as good as the others (like "New Orleans" or "In Your Dreams"). "Wide Sargasso Sea" is song of epic proportions and love it so much!

I'm still listening to it, never stopped, and I still think it's a good album, but I'm still trying to hear the "blood in these tracks". I do hear blood throughout Bella Donna, The Wild Heart, The Other Side Of The Mirror, and Trouble In Shangri-la, and even some in Street Angel.

I gave my CD to my sister in law, thinking I would buy another one. I didn't, but I downloaded it to my ipod and listened to it again a few days ago after months and months of not hearing it. About once a month I listen to Wide Sargasso Sea,New Orleans,Soldiers Angel & Annabel Lee, and then I pop out the CD.

I forgot to mention Moonlight. In the 1990's when I first got Lady From The Mountain, I played it to death, for years and years. You would think I would do the same with Moonlight. But no. It's a very good song but it doesn't make me want to listen to it endlessly.

markolas
04-20-2012, 12:26 PM
I know I've said it before, but I love what she ended up doing with Lady from the Mountains. Many of her demos have good aspects to them, but there's usually a clear reason why they never ended up on an album. LFTM was such a song. It's morphing into Moonlight was sheer brilliance, and it's one of her best solo songs.

I listened to it for a month or so when it came out, but then didn't for a while because I need a new cd player, and in the car my daughter has started taking over the music. She's at that age, so I let her. But I just dug it out the other day and have played it while in the car a few times, a few songs here or there.

I love most of it. I have not gotten into Soldier's Angel. It's an okay song, but I just never am expecting that song in the middle of this cd, so I keep skipping it. I love Italian Summer and Cheaper than Free. I have trouble not re-playing those over a few times before I pass on to the next song. I love Secret Love and am sort of over the "eww-eeee" part that always bugged me. I love it much more than the demo and can get on board with it now. I love the song IYD, FWIW, Sargasso Sea, Moonlight, pretty much the whole cd. But I don;t always get in a flow with it as it plays on. So today I am thinking when I burn a copy for myself, to rearrange it.

I think it has some amazing songs on it. I love it. I will be thrilled if the dvd ever comes out.

04-20-2012, 03:21 PM
this CD changes for me with time. At first it was so new I was just absorbing every little nook and cranny of it. Now, when I don't play it for a while and then revisit, it is forming its own little personality and mood...just like all her other CD's have with time. It's kinda cool how that happens with music. I think I'm enjoying it even more now than I did when it first came out but it has aged beautifully so far...

I still rank it as one of her best albums overall tied with Rock A Little. Soldier's Angel is probably the only one I skip but it's not that I don't like it, I just have to be in the mood for it. Cheaper Than Free and Italian Summer are also songs I need to be in mood for. All the others I listen to regularly and never skip. The ones I listen to repeatedly and seem to discover some new element that fascinates me are:

New Orleans
Annabel Lee
Secret Love
Moonlight

My favorite has always been You May Be the One. This song came into my life at a very rough time so it holds a little special place in my heart <3

I still play this CD regularly in my car, and in my ipod when working out. I often wonder when/if I'lll ever get sick of it. Hasn't happened yet.

I absolutely love this record. The songs that I tend to skip over: New Orleans, Soldier's Angel, and CTF. All of the others hold special meaning for me for various reasons and memories. :)

1. Secret Love- Reminds me of how excited I was when I discovered WB released a clip of it online. I was at work and immediately took a break to listen to it. It also reminds me of when we were walking in to Amoeba Records to meet Stevie, as I was in the first group of 12. It was playing overhead. I remember thinking, Ok- this is it!

2. FWIW - Also reminds me of Amoeba, as we were waiting for Stevie to come out. I was beginning to get a little emotional, but we all helped each other stay calm. (Hi Becca, Dani and Lindsey! :wavey:)

3. IYD - Some of the lyrics to this song reminds me of how Stevie feels about her fans. It also reminds me of all of us singing along to it with her at the unforgettable Wiltern show. :woohoo:

4. Moonlight- My favorite track on this record. Memories that come to mind are hearing it for the first time, with Stevie, at Sunset Sessions last feb. During the song she went around and sat right behind me. I gave her a little thumbs up and she responded with a huge smile and shook her little fists. So cool. This song is also special to me because she played it solo with the piano at the Grammy event I was able to attend in october. I remember thinking, I can't believe she's doing this!

5. Annabel Lee- Another song I heard for the first time at Sunset Sessions. I remember immediately loving the "but I see the bright eyes" part. This tune also reminds me of the great time at the Wiltern, as it was her first *new* song she performed there. We were all so so happy!

6. Everybody Loves You - I love this song because it sounds so "Eurythmics", which I find interesting to hear how Stevie's voice mixes with that type of song. I also love the way Stevie sings her parts on it. So pure.

7. Ghosts Are Gone- Reminds me of the awesome performance of it at the Wiltern.

8. You May Be the One - The lyrics to this hit home with me.

9. Italian Summer - What a glorious song. When I heard this song with Stevie at Sunset Sessions I remember thinking it sounded like a movie-type song. I was like, wow. It nearly made me cry when I was there. I held it together though.

3,6,9 and 12 are the only tracks I play these days. In Your Dreams, Moonlight, Everybody Loves You and Italian Summer. All four are classic Stevie in my opinion. The rest of the album (with the rare exception of Secret Love and Soldier's Angel, which I play every once in awhile) is all filler for me. Funny how your opinion can change in a year. I thought this record was better than TISL when it was released. I have now changed my mind. As scattered as TISL is (as far as production, etc) it still holds up better for me than anything else she's done since Bella Donna & Wild Heart. Plus the Summer of 2001 was a magical time to be a Stevie fan! :)

...and as always, this is just my humble opinion...

IYD is magical in a way that BD and WH were....I can't describe it, but all 3 put me in just the best frame of mind. IYD was a breath of fresh air after, IMO, losing the plot for so long. Would you two mind explaining precisely why you don't like the album?

He/she just doesn't like it. Maybe to her its not BD or TISL . This is so subjective.

I can tell you this, Sales say that the gen public didn't like it so much ..............Peaked at # 6 and only 6 weeks on chart

We all know to US that it doesnt matter what the gen public believes or thinks, BUT it can be somewhat telling in sales.

Personally, I have'nt picked it up again in about 8 months, so for me, its not on MY CHARTS!!!

As for IYD like any album that came after the immaculate Bella Donna it is somewhat of a mixed bag and in it's case with more pluses than minuses IMO and like any album from TOSOTM on it could have used some editing. When things are right on IYD it holds up with her best work and is more consistent than TISL however the highs on TISL are as good as anything on IYD.As for the people who are of the opinion that the album was a flop or not as successful as it should have been. I believe it would have had to have had some kind of breakout hit to have sold more than it has which for a woman in her sixties would have been an aberration .Bonnie Raitt has just released one of the best albums of her long career with stellar reviews all around which also debuted at number 6.I would be very suprised if it does not take the same trajetory as IYD.That is sadly just the way .things are now.

I have NEVER rated or liked/disliked an album based upon sales. If that were the case, Boz Scaggs, Sparks, Clash, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Rondstadt and many others would never be in my collection. Regardless, sales CAN BE somewhat an indicator of how good or bad an album is (at least that was very true in the past until the "digital age." i.e. last decade or so ) ONE big problem with IYD and I think that Iovine would agree with me here is that there's NOT a single main track or breakout hit that would have propelled this album to greatness. For me, its a good album, not bad, not great but good. Stevie should be proud of this and all her work.

I still hear TISL tracks on XM/Sirius as well as FMs SYW, BUT rarely if ever hear IYD songs on there??? Demand, interest, programming , who knows??? I think that Stevie sees IYD as her "Swan Song." (unless of course she owes the label another contractually). I also get the sense that its NOT/wasn't the blockbuster that everyone had hoped for. BD II it is not!!! ( I know the label would've love to see sales of a BD II for sure!!)

Travis, its pretty simple. I haven't picked up the CD in eons because there's nothing on there that I JUST have to hear!!

If I had to say, IYD, Moonlight and FWIW are probably my fav songs on the CD. GAG, WSS, NO, SA and IS are just fillers for me on the CD. I just don't see anything there that I just HAVE to hear!! I know that many LOVE I.S., but I guess I just don't get it??

You'd have to agree its all subjective.

What constitutes a great single is also a bit subjective (and we could start a whole other thread on why Ledgies' favorite songs don't necessarily make good singles), but honestly I'm not sure what Stevie could have recorded that would have given her a breakout hit. Radio is just not going to embrance a sixty-something woman the way they will the newer and younger artists. Stevie was the IT girl at one time, but others are having their turn. That's just how it goes, and it does nothing to diminish Stevie's legacy, which IMO far surpasses many of her peers.

I think the only thing that Stevie could have done to land a breakout hit would have been to collaborate on a song (intended to be such a hit) with an artist that is currently hot, i.e., Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Adam Levine, Rihanna, etc. An artist that is currently on the radio and topping the singles charts would be needed for Stevie to experience such radio success and airplay at this point in the game. I think the fact that Stevie didn't need to resort to that for this record is quite impressive.

It's definitely subjective and not everyone has to like it. The only thing I find really questionable is people trying to use sales to justify dislike of the album. It's definitely an apples to oranges comparison when people are comparing IYD to previous Nicks album sales. She's a legacy act now. Getting into the Top 10 was a big deal. To be fair, compare how IYD to albums by other legacy acts.

For me the fact that IYD hit the top 10, had two singles on the AC chart, and sold more than 150,000 copies (in this age of collapsed album sales), makes it a success. It doesn't mean people have to LIKE it at all, but it does make the album a success.

After a year, the album has held up pretty well, and I still play it semi-regularly. I think it's among her best solo work (probably #3 for me).

The speed bumps, in my mind, are tracks 8-10. I like "Soldier's Angel," but I have to be in the right mood for it. Still don't care that much for "Everybody Loves You," though I like some of the words in the verses. My least favorite track on the whole album is "Ghosts are Gone." The guitar parts are irritating and the lyrics are silly and insubstantial.

People keep talking about chart position and radio play for this album. I don't really listen to the radio or care what's on it so it doesn't bother me that this album didn't top the charts. I would love that for Stevie, but it doesn't matter to me. It's not like Stevie is going to dissipate into thin air because her album didn't sell through the roof. It's not like it's going to hurt her as an artist or ruin her career. So if that's the case, why do people care how much this album sold? Isn't it enough that YOU like it?

I like In Your Dreams because every song is a different flavor and color. I really like the endings to the songs-the bittersweet ending to New Orleans, the words of You May Be the One, the propulsion of Ghosts are Gone... these songs are well-thought out. She is really trying her hardest. In Your Dreams sounds fresh to me. I think its because the album covers a lot of musical ground.

Stevie is 63 years old!!!!!! Think about that. She cowrote or wrote all the songs. This is an album of all new material. She didn't do a stupid duet album like Lionel Richie. She is trying to make the music she made in her prime.

Chart position; For someone who has had a string of bad albums, this album hit #6. That's really good. Stevie seems to have 9 lives. The most she could hope for is Gold. (None of her releases since 2001 has hit gold.) I mean they aren't going to play her on the radio. I think the two singles she released were terrible decisions after I listened to the whole album. There are two definite singles from this album in my opinion—In Your Dreams and Italian Summer. Everybody Loves You would of been good choice too. Annabelle Lee and Moonlight also if they were heavily edited. This album has singles.

Lastly, her vocals are awesome on most of these songs. She hasn't sounded better since the 80s.

I listen to this album and all I can think is really good job. Nobody would of expected this type of quality from her at this age.

Good points Mick. Not to get wrapped around the axle here, BUT from Stevie's perspective as well as that of her label, 150,000 is NOT a lot of records at all. Sure, its more than I'll ever sell, BUT it pales in comparison to BD, SA and even FM's Rumors and Tusk (which some could argue "tanked compared " to Rumors. ) Regardless, sales are somewhat of an indicator" as to the albums "likeability " factor. If LOTS of people liked it, the argument goes, LOTS of people will buy it. Adele is a good example of this. She's sold a ton of records since 2009 because people LIKE/LOVE what she's doing.

I don't think so for Stevie. Because she got no radio play. People could be loving Adele because they are desperate for a star. Her album is not really that special. In the 80s, we had Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna.... This generation has the pooh...

I just don't see the point in comparing IYD to BD or Rumours. Consider the very few artists still active today after hitting it big in the 70s or before. No one still sells the same way, not the Rolling Stones, not Paul McCartney, not anyone, no matter how legendary. I would also argue that 150K is great at this point in her career, and it's not even that bad for newer, more current artists. When I was in high school, multi-platinum albums were commonplace, and it seemed like every year saw at least one 10-million seller. Back then, if an album only went gold (not platinum), that seemed like a flop. These days gold is real feat, so 150K doesn't seem that bad for anybody.

Adele may very well being making fantastic music when she is in her sixties, but she won't be selling the way she is now. She won't get the exposure, just like Stevie didn't get it with IYD.

I had a similar conversation with someone in which I used Lady Gaga in my example rather than Adele. Obviously Stevie wasn't going to burn up the charts with IYD the way Gaga did with Born This Way. But in 40 years, when Gaga is Stevie's age, will she be able to put an album in Billboard's Top 10? My money is on No.

I agree with a lot of this, particularly the point about her voice sounding amazing. I thought the same thing when I first got IYD...I thought her voice hadn't sounded this good in a long time.

While I think "Secret Love" and "For What It's Worth" were fine as singles - and both did make the AC chart so I don't think they're flops - I agree that "In Your Dreams", "Italian Summer" and "Everybody Loves You" could (should?) also have been singles. I also agree with edited versions of "Annabel Lee" and especially "Moonlight" being single-worthy also.

I only disagree on the assessment of previous albums. Nicks, to me, has only had one sub-par studio album and that was Street Angel (and yes I know some people do love it). I actually think Trouble In Shangri-La is a very strong album, I would probably rank it as her 2nd or 3rd best.

I think it largely holds up well. My four favorites haven't changed a bit, although I find I gravitate a little more to "Ghosts Are Gone" than I did to "In Your Dreams" last year. However, those are still my top two.

The next two in the bunch (songs I often listen to, although not quite as often as the first two mentioned) are still "Moonlight" and "Wide Sargasso Sea." Then I do either "Soldier's Angel" or "Secret Love", but not as much.

I've softened slightly on "For What It's Worth" but I still think "Cheaper Than Free" is pure trash.

I believe that when Stevie did TISL, she was under a LOT of influence from different producers and also was coming off Landslide's popularity (from the Dixie Chicks), so she had a LOT going on there. She was tight with the DC and Sheryl Crow at the time as well. I still prefer TISL for the most part over IYD. There's songs from each of her albums that I adore (whether solo or with FM). See, I love "Too Far from Texas." That's the problem. For every person who thinks it should've been left off, there's another who likes it. Sandy Stewart has written some good songs for Stevie in the past, so it's little wonder she would use her again. Other than the title track, it's my fave song on Trouble in Shangri-La. (I have no defense for the inclusion of "That Made Me Stronger.")

My opinion of In Your Dreams hasn't really changed over the last year, except perhaps that the more I listen to it, the more I like it. However, I will never enjoy that wretched "Cheaper Than Free" - the more I listen to that, the more I hate it!

"What's faster than a fast car?
What's deeper than a deep well?"

SO. BAD.

But hey, as bad as that is, most of the songs on there are excellent. My favorites are still "Italian Summer" and "Wide Sargasso Sea." Magnificent!

'Too Far From Texas' and 'That Made Me Stronger' should have never made the cut, but I understand why Stevie chose them.

I don't. Space Needle, Have No Heart, She Loves Him Still and Annabel Lee would have been much more suitable.

I really, really wanted to love this album. Sadly for me there is not one song on here that makes me want to listen to it over and over. I couldn't even tell you what order the songs are in. Some of the songs I really like a lot but none of them do I love. I miss the old days when all I'd listen to for month's on end was Stevies' latest album. Street Angel was the last time this occured for me. With the exception of a few songs TISL was the worst SN album I have ever heard.

25 Great Albums from the new Millennium that you might not have heard (but you should!!)

Stevie Nicks – In Your Dreams (2011)

Rock icon Stevie Nicks has put out some great solo records, but In Your Dreams ranks right there near the top. She collaborates with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, which proves to be a shrewd choice. Stewart is a master in the studio as well as an ace guitarist and songwriter, and one of the best producers in the business. Like Nicks, Stewart works best with a strong collaborator, as he did for so many years with Annie Lennox. In Your Dreams has some truly breathtaking moments, like the wistful ballad “For What It’s Worth.” One can’t help but imagine what some of these songs would sound like with Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie harmonizing along, but that’s just a testament to the strength of the material. The title song is another winner, and first single “Secret Love” is a strong opener. Dave Stewart’s blazing guitar takes center-stage on the excellent “Wide Sargasso Sea.” It’s a shame that In Your Dreams didn’t do better commercially. It did reach #6 in the U.S. upon its release (although with first-week sales of barely over 50k), but quickly tumbled down the charts. There seems to be a tendency by fans of older artists to ignore the newer stuff, and that’s a shame. This is still the same Stevie Nicks who wrote and sang classics like “Dreams,” “Landslide,” “Sara,” “Gypsy,” “Stand Back,” “Nightbird” and so many others.

Loving that they include "Nightbird" as a classic. What an underrated gem.

No, it's not the same Stevie Nicks that wrote those classics.

Sometimes I wonder if she hadn't done so many drugs (illegal
and prescribed), would she have had more classics to write?

I agree with you on her voice. That was the first thing I noticed when I played IYD...how amazing she sounded. I think not releasing Annabel Lee as a single was a grave mistake! Her vocal, the production, the song itself...all just perfection. That song has an undeniable energy that I believe could have went somewhere had it been marketed correctly. Oh well.
