I couldn't get anything in Section 1, 2 or 3 and I tried for a half hour (illegally from my work computer). So then I gave up and bought front row from StubHub when I got home from work. Super excited, first time in the front row! :blob1: I figured I'm not going away for a vacation this year so I may as well splurge and spend my tax money on something I've been dying to have!

I just ordered front row tickets for Boston today, center stage. I'm so excited I have no clue how I'm going to wait until July. This makes up for the amount of BROKE I was last summer.... I had decent seats but 18 rows back isn't anywhere near close enough to get a edge walk handshake in.

I am getting so excited, I have purposely tried to stay away from The Ledge for a few weeks because I knew I would just be so excited for Tuesday. I couldn't contain myself anymore, so from now until Tuesday I am in full Stevie concert excitement mode! My friend who is coming with me to the show has never been, he's only a mild fan so I'm hoping to convert him to full blown fan...what better way than to see Stevie from the front row! He's pretty tall, so I apologize in advance if he blocks anyone's view!

Hey guys! I'll be in the house representing section 1 row f. I'm hometown kid so nothing but BIG LOVE, fond memories, and good stories in this venue even though the flat floor stinks in this girl's opinion. Know she likes arenas, but I've loved every show Stevie's played here. Can't beat the vibe of this place with a beautiful sunset on a summer day.

Last best show: Stevie Nicks at the Pavilion
Every rock list is front-loaded with dudes. The Beatles are always named the best band. Bob Dylan is the best songwriter. Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist. All this male dominance, makes Stevie Nicks’ glory even greater.
And after her stunning show last night at the Bank of American Pavilion, it’s time to give Nicks her due and bump her up a few notches on these lists.
No. 98 on “Rolling Stones’” list of Greatest Singers? Even at age 64, she’s better than that. Her power and range have diminished with age and overuse (her opening cover of “Rock and Roll” wasn’t up to Led Zeppelin standards, hey, neither is Robert Plant in 2012), but Nicks has one of the all-time killer sets of pipes. On the classic “Stand Back” she roared like the Golden God; her take on “Landslide” remained as awesome as ever.
Revised rank: No 36 — right between Bruce Springsteen, the current 36, and Dusty Springfield at 35.
Nicks was stupidly bundled as Fleetwood Mac with Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie at No. 83 on “Paste’s” list of Greatest Living Songwriters. Did the editors forget “Bella Donna?” Did they — like everyone else — not listen to last year’s surprisingly-great “In Your Dreams?” Thankfully, Nicks remembered the choice cuts from “Dreams” including “Secret Love” with its wonderful melody and shimmering arrangement and the big, bad rock riff of “Ghost Are Gone.”
Revised rank: No. 59 (which pushes her above Conor Oberst and Jack White but not past Sly Stone or Dolly Parton).
Nicks didn’t make “Rolling Stone’s” 100 Greatest Artists and that makes sense. But Fleetwood Mac missed the list too. This is insanity. Last night Nicks only did four Fleetwood Mac songs including standout “Gold Dust Dreams.” Not only was her voice spot on for the tune but when she delivered the lyrics with that still-wild rasp it was awesome. Find me a better, truer rock lyric than “Rulers make bad lovers/You better put your kingdom up for sale.” Add in “Rhiannon,” which she did brilliantly, and it’s enough to make the Top 100.
Revised rank for Fleetwood Mac: No. 82 replacing James Taylor (sorry, local lovers of James).
There were flaws at last night’s packed show, but they were flaws every great, aging rock act is guilty of: a balding back up band, too much self importance, too much false grandeur. Besides, these flaws are what rock fans love (see: Iron Maiden’s last best show).
Nicks proved again that she’s rock’s Golden Goddess: Top five when it comes to tambourine work, tied for first with Steven Tyler in the scarves, sashes, frills and feathers category, and No. 1 in on stage twirling.
A note on opener Marc Cohn: I freely admit Cohn has a definitively adult contemporary voice. I’ll also allow “Walking in Memphis” is cornball to the core. But I still kinda dig the tune and love that after everything he’s been through, that he still crushes his signature song live. Also, why have him open and not duet with Stevie on “Leather & Lace,” right?

It was an amazing show, I'll post a full review later, but just a few comments.
Stevie told the story about a soldier she used to visit who was "touch and go" when she met him, he then walked out on stage with his family. It was so touching, got very choked up.
Stand Back ROCKED, did some fast twirls!
Edge of Seventeen was a nightmare, security was horrible, did manage a handshake though.
Looked like a full house, it was awesome!

I had a great time at the show! And it was amazing to meet everyone...Especially Danielle =P I took Ashley with me to the show....Shes been a closet Stevie fan for awhile and she finally wanted to go...and she said she LOVED it and now wants to go to the Mohegan show lol Ashley said Stevie is WAY better in concert and sounds like the songs on the albums....
Stevie was very energetic during the show and sounded awesome...She did the high notes and twirled and high kicked and tambo'ed the **** out of the tamborine lol The pictures I took at the show were okay since they were with my iphone....my cvamera takes crappy pics too...
a highlight was Soilders Angel....after she sang it she had Vincet and his family come on stage and it was so amazing and touching....Stevie kept huigging him and kissing him and he said that Stevie was her best friend <3 So friggin cute! Gave me chills! After they got off stage I realized they were in the same row as us...9th row

It was a great show. So emotional when Stevie brought out Vincent. I thought the venue was good too, I had never seen a show there before. I did have a super tall guy in front of me, but he seemed to be mainly there for the purpose of babysitting his very drunk girlfriend, so he sat down most of the time. I thought Stevie sounded great. Gold Dust Woman and Love Is were the stand outs for me.

This show was great.I was in tears when she brought out Vincent and his family. This make me so proud of Stevie with her helping hands.Which was the highlite of the show.Again security did not care about photo taking.I did hear the announcement about "No Flash photography".I thing not alot of people are waking up to not having the flash turned on.
Stevie was on fire.So was Waddy and the band.
Again It was great to meet up with all of you Ledgies at the show. Now after going to Stevie/FM for over 30 years by myself I have some friends to have fun and chat with at the show.
So now off to the Mohegan Sun on my little Stevie tour.Seeya there....

Boston.com, July 12, 2012 by Sarah Rodman
Nicks seamlessly weaves old and new
The twirls may be a little slower these days, but the spirit remains strong.
Tuesday night at the Bank of America Pavilion, Stevie Nicks enchanted with a two-hour set that was part “Storytellers,” part patriotic tribute, part crystal visions, and all heart.
The show was heavy on tracks from her latest album, 2011’s splendid “In Your Dreams,” which may have been unfamiliar to some in the packed house, but Nicks was a savvy sorceress of sequencing.
The Fleetwood Mac chanteuse wisely prefaced new tunes with stories about their origins to provide a way in and alternated fresh tracks with big hits, engendering good will.
That meant that Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” — still retaining its warm, woozy charm — flowed nicely into “Moonlight (A Vampire’s Dream)” — which Nicks explained began life in the early ’70s and was resurrected when she was inspired by the second “Twilight” film — which then segued easily into a churning, spectral, wailing “Gold Dust Woman.”
That tune was followed by Nicks’s reverie “Soldier’s Angel,” inspired by her trips to visit injured soldiers. Nicks brought one such soldier named Vincent, who managed a miraculous recovery, onstage with his family for a poignant and rousing ovation.
She pivoted back into rocking action with “Stand Back.” Backed by an airtight eight-piece band, including longtime guitar foil-musical director Waddy Wachtel and indispensable backing vocalists Sharon Celani and Lori Perry, Nicks was in high spirits all night, bouncing from the Mac catalog to her solo repertoire and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.”
Declaring that she would never do another strictly “greatest hits” tour, Nicks was clearly jazzed to be playing new material. That sense of reinvigoration permeated the whole set, and because the performances were so strong — from a tender “Landslide” to the lilting new tune “For What It’s Worth” to a muscular “Edge of Seventeen” — she had the audience eating out of her sparkly, fingerless-gloved hand.
Smoky-voiced opener Marc Cohn warmed up the crowd with hits like “Walking in Memphis” and a touching tribute to the late Levon Helm, “Listening to Levon.”

I attended this show with my niece, my cousin and Caitlin(Enchanted Stevi). We sat in the 10th row and Caitlin and I stood for the whole show. The other two sat occasionally because they are not diehards like we are. Those two stood for the well known songs.
During the first four songs Stevie seemed fairly stiff and emotionless. She seemed tired to my eyes and I was thinking to myself this wasn't gonna be that great of a show and then, out of nowhere a glow emerged from her and she was on fire. She sang with gusto and had the crowd in the palm of her hands the rest of the evening. It was a sold out show and the audience was very appreciative of all her songs and very receptive to the new ones.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house when Stevie introduced Vincent and his family. There were no band introductions tonight in favor of the Vincent tribute. The video of the tribute by another Ledgie a few posts ago was a great way for me to relive that moment.
I took some pictures and my niece asked me to take some video of Landslide for her. There I was in the dark, pressing buttons on my camera trying to figure out how to reset it to photos, not knowing what in the heck I was doing when I discovered by accident that my camera can create decorative backgrounds which you will see in my pics.
I finally met Dani(daniellaaarisen) in person and she's more beautiful than her pictures allow. I searched for Grace(mezzoforte ) but never found her and accidently found GoldDustGypsy & Ed(HejiraNYC) while looking for Grace. I also met up with Anna whom I met last year that I thought I was meeting for the first time and she told me no, it was our 2nd meeting and Skip(Macfanforever) hung around me a lot tonight as well.

Beautiful pics! I was there too and I kept thinking that Stevie is like Vincent's fairy godmother. I especially thought that when the pic was up on the monitor at the concert of Stevie in the yellow hospital gown, her hands on Vincent. What an amazing story!

Well Boston was quite the show. She always does incredibly well here. The fans are beyond amazing. I stood for the entire set, only sitting once for the piano intro to Rhiannon. I was never told to sit, nor did I need to considering so many others were standing. It was truly awesome.
I gotta say, I like the whole rock n' roll thing at the beginning. Not Fade Away blends nicely into RnR.
Rock N Roll - This is definitely a good opener. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't heard it 1,000x in concert already. I noticed that she lowered the vocals down a key on this. She played her tambo and went to both sides of the stage. She was extremely animated and happy. You can really tell how muxh fun she's having on the road, singing the new stuff.
Enchanted - WHY? WHY? WHY? I was hoping we would never see this ever again, I guess I was wrong. Its even worse than it ever was, she avoided all high notes. SUCH a dud.
Now she did the whole "this is not a greatest hits" tour speech. I always find it interesting to see what other, more casual fans think of this statement. I never saw anyone roll their eyes or say anything out loud.
Secret Love - Definitely better than last year. I like Brett playing the backing guitar on this one. I love this song on the record, but the live version doesn't really match up. However, I still love it.
Dreams - I really don't think I can enjoy this song anymore. Overkill, problems of a die hard stevie fan.
Moonlight - She told the entire story, going back to Lady from the Mountains. One interested thing she said was "I didn't just write a few verses, I wrote an entire song." referring to LFTM. I noticed that before the speech she grabbed the boa and put it on her left arm. Any idea why she's doing this? It seems so random, she did the same thing at Mohegan. My wild theory is that its her mother's. Anyway, this song kills live. She did an awesome wail at the end, which segways right into GDW beautifully.
Gold Dust Woman - She did the high note on "Hoooooooooome" and did the same old dance at the end. It looked like it was hurting her to bend over, I'm guessing back issues. She did very well in the heels, though.
Soldier's Angel - You've probably read the story by now, but it was an emotional trainwreck. I knew beforehand that there was going to be a soldier in the audience, but I had no idea he was injured so badly. Everyone was really choked up, extremely emotional.
Stand Back - ROCKED!!! This deserves to stay in the middle of the set. There was a GIANT man directly in my view of Stevie whenever he stood, same thing at Mohegan actually, so I was trying to poke my head around. She did some faster twirls, much better performance than last year. She introduced us to the cape, which surprisingly really gets people excited haha!
more to come...

It was an amazing show, I'll post a full review later, but just a few comments.
security was horrible, did manage a handshake though.
From my perspective, security was no problem at all. Everyone was allowed to take pictures and video and no one ever told them to stop. The guy in front of me held up a large i pad to record Stevie, and me and Caitlin were annoyed by his height.

One security guard at the stage where I was was a video nazi. Literally anytime he saw someone holding a phone or camera up for more than 30 seconds, he would go over to them and try to see if they were recording and if he thought they were he was like "NO VIDEO!" I swear I was afraid to take time to focus my camera on my phone because I didn't want him to flip out.

It's strange to me, because when Lindsey did his speech about their being no new album "YET" she rolled her eyes. Hers is not a greatest hits tour today, but unless we get an incredible surprise, she's going to be on a greatest hits tour very soon. So, don't turn fans off of greatest hits tours, unless you're going to follow through.

Some of these pics made it seem as if you were standing on the side of the stage when you took them. Were you?

Five years after he first met her while being treated for a traumatic brain injury at Walter Reed Hospital and Bethesda Hospital, Hyannis resident and Iraq war veteran Vincent Mannion-Brodeur was reunited with rock star Stevie Nicks.
Nicks, who performed at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston last Tuesday, has kept tabs on Mannion-Brodeur's progress. She invited him onstage with his family and dedicated her new song "Soldier's Angel" to Mannion-Brodeur and all the wounded warriors. Mannion-Brodeur was serving with the 82nd Airborne Division in March 2007 when he was severely wounded.
