I still have this 1993 album on CD packed away in a box.
I should pull it out, dust it off and burn it to Mp3.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. I thought some of the music sounded familiar on this cut and would love to know who played on it, if it's in liner notes anywhere. The personnel listing for the album on Wiki reads like The Mac's adress book.

All these famous people and they never decided to make this a single?!!! Crazy!! Yes, I remember this gem form last century and felt even then it was a missed oppurtunity(as Sue likes to say) but then a lot of Stevie's career has been just that.

This is the same guy who just twittered and facebooked that he'd recorded with Stevie last week.

I'm suprised you didn't know about this. You seem to always be on top of things. Since it is new to you though, you are going to have a field day enjoying this gem.

I have the CD - here's who was actually involved with "Secret"...

Drums: Mick Fleetwood
Guitar: Tim Pierce
Bass: Nathaniel Phillips
Keyboards: Mike MacNeil, Scott Humphrey and Robin Zander
Additional Vocals: Stevie Nicks
Mixed by Rob Jacobs
Produced by Jimmy Iovine

Thanks for making me dig it out - I think I'll add it to the CD rotation in the car, been awhile since I listened to it.

Piling on the LOVE for "Secret"!:xoxo: I'd actually forgotten this was produced by Jimmy. So this is the last song Stevie & Jimmy were ever involved in production-wise...interesting.

I've loved this song since it was released. Stevie does amazing harmony (as usual) and the song is very catchy. A long lost gem rediscovered for those who may have missed it. I'll have to pull this out and give it a proper listen.

I think Stevie's vocals should've been higher in the mix but it's a good song.

Wow. I can't believe Stevie contributed to an album that also has Maria McKee contributing vocals ( and "programming"...whatever that is). Would never imagine that there would be a chain link (however slight) that could connect them.

If you look at the liner notes of Lone Justice's first major label album, there are a bunch of chain links (Tom Petty, Shelly Yakus, Thom Panunzio, Bobbye Hall, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench...)and that was in 1985.

Wow a small world.I did post their Shelter video in the Jimmy Iovine thread.

Duh! You dashed me Dan! How stupid of me to not recall all those connections. Talk about a brain freeze. I spoke (posted) before I thought. Some of the songs on Lone Justice's second (alas, last) album even have a very Stevie feel/style to them. I became a Lone Justice/Maria McKee fan when I saw them open for U2. Have as seen Maria McKee many times over the years. She's very odd and unique; much like Stevie in a sense.

I don't remember if I heard this. Would love to Stevie to collab with Cheap Trick. Their last two albums were very good.
