Legendary rockers Rod Stewart & Stevie Nicks have announced plans to reunite this summer and reprise their highly acclaimed, co-headlining “Heart & Soul Tour.”
In a career spanning five decades, Rod Stewart has amassed an estimated 250 million in album and single sales and an incredible 16 Grammy nominations. In April he will join the elite list of artists who are 2x Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees (as a solo artist and soon as a member of the seminal 60s rock band, the Faces). On March 24, he will return to Las Vegas for an 8-concert-run of "The Hits" - part of his immensely popular first residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Stevie Nicks is a multi-Grammy Award Winner as a solo artist and member of the legendary Fleetwood Mac and a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Her new CD "In Your Dreams" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and has received glowing reviews from numerous outlets, including US Magazine who declared it "the best album of Nicks' four decade career."

I don't believe it they are actually going back out on the road together. I know both of them said they would love to do it again but I didn't believe it would ever happen..crazy.
Its going to be interesting to see what other cities they stop in... or if they bring the show to Europe?? Here's hoping
Nashville first stop.

This might not be a bad sign- Stevie touring with Rod again in order to beef up her cash reserves so she can go off the road for a while & record again... hopefully with Fleetwood Mac. It'd make sense to do this before going back into studio with the Mac, because they take notoriously long to record their albums. Plus, I don't think either she or Fleetwood Mac are under contract anymore, and may not get a record deal with a big advance offer. So she could be touring with Rod to literally help bank roll future solo or Mac recordings.

Who's hoping that Stevie will put together a new setlist for this tour? It seems like it would make the most sense for her to do a greatest hits set (like last year's H & S tour) but maybe we can hope for a few new additions..

Please say this is an Internet rumor. This sucks. Already had to sit through this once, won't do it again. Stevie as opener with short set then made to be Rod's back up singer, such an insult . Was so looking forward to her summer tour, this stinks !!!

This sucks.Who talk her into this project. The first time around last year through her into a loop and screw her CD release.but if thats what she wants.get ready for a Readers Digest concert set list with songs verses cut with a hefty ticket price..What happen to the Tom Petty rumour.

Well that didn't stop her last time around. I know she loves playing in those big arenas and their concerts were top money makers last year. At the Mohegan Sun show I was impressed with her energy. She really had to 'work it' to get Rod's audience to be affected by her songs and performances. Were you there, Skip?

I don't want to go see Rod at all... but I don't want to miss Stevie if she comes through town.
CONFLICTED.
ETA: I have to say I don't much see the point in the Rod tour (aside, obviously, to make some $$$). Logically.. I'd say given the demographic, Stevie's not inherently introducing herself/music to anyone new really, most Rod fans would know who Stevie is and for the most part if they were gonna be a Stevie Nicks fan they would be one by now. So it's not as if she's branching out to reach a whole new generation or something... it's just playing for a set of people who aren't your fans.

My first reaction was NOOOOO. Of all the things I was hoping would happen this year, this was dead last. But the only silver lining and what I would imagine Stevie is thinking is she will get to play In Your Dreams songs to a much bigger audience. If she can get 25 rod Stewart fans per concert ot purchase In Your dreams then good for her.
I would imagine she'd play 4 IYD songs, her 4 Fleetwood Mac standards and Edge/Stand Back. Or maybe they'll be a "New" new song from her even newer forthcoming album in the this set.
So "If" this is actually happening her set will obviously be 10/11 songs again. The deciding factor for me going will be if those 10/11 songs are IYD heavy.

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks set to launch latest Heart & Soul Tour on July 20 at The Q in Cleveland
Published: Friday, February 24, 2012, 7:25 AM Updated: Friday, February 24, 2012, 9:06 AM
By John Soeder, The Plain Dealer The Plain Dealer
Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks are hitting the road again this summer -- and Cleveland is their first stop.
The veteran rockers will launch their Heart & Soul Tour with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, at The Q.
Tickets, $49.50-$149.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, at the arena box office and Discount Drug Mart stores. You also can purchase tickets at theqarena.com, or charge by phone, 1-888-894-9424
Stewart and Nicks teamed up for a similar tour last year, which included sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl.
Look for them to do a few duets together onstage, in addition to hit-heavy individual sets from both performers.
Stewart also will be in Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony April 14 at Public Auditorium, where he’ll be enshrined as a member of the Faces. Stewart is already in the Rock Hall as a solo artist.
Nicks is a Hall of Famer, too, inducted with Fleetwood Mac. Her seventh solo album, “In Your Dreams,” came out last year.

Stevie Nicks is a multi-Grammy Award Winner...
Since when??? :)
I must say that I don't like the idea. Stevie Nicks is a legend in her own right and deserves a spotlight. Besides, I'm not a fan of rocker-turned gentleman-turned sappy crooner-turned a worse copy of Tony Bennett-Rod Stewart...He is so dull. I went to his concert last year and must say that it was one of the worst concerts I've ever attened in my life. I would prefer to see Stevie going on an extended solo world tour-hey Stevie there's life and fans apart from US :)
I won't be going but....
Good for Stevie. She will probably be ready to hit the road soon. She likes being on the road and with the passing of her mother, it will probably help her grieving process. That's just in my opinion, for what it's worth (oooooo I got to sing I got to dance...I got to be a part of a great romance...)
I'd rather her hit the road with the Mac but yah know, it hasn't been 5 years yet...;)

If Stevie/Rod comes to the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. The tickets will probably run higher then if they play in Hartford or Bridgeport.I payed $196 for crappy seats the last time around.I'm not in the mood to shell out the same amount for a repeat of his show with a digest Stevie show.I probably go to the second level or the cheap seats this time around if I can't get good seats there.

I'm hoping they'll play in the Hartford Civic Center. Do they still call it that? No one seems to play there anymore. They all go to Mohegan. Hatford is just a hop, skip and a jump from my home but Mohegan, after a long show is a tiring and long, dark drive home thru the woods of Ct.

Hartford Civic Center is now called The XL Center .They got to make a stop in Boston.I doubt Worcester or Springfield will be on their list. The way it looks they will be no shed stops plus so that leaves out Mansfield and Comcast theather which was the Meadows theather also probably Jones Beach too.we will see.

Agreed. I respect Rod's career, but I'm not about to pay a cent to see him live. If she has to tour with somebody, I could understand if she chose Tom - she's obviously happiest performing with him, and he gives her performances an energy that she lacks with Fleetwood Mac in the 2000s. My first choice for a touring companion for her is still Chris Isaak. They're great onstage together.
With Rod she just seems stiff onstage to me. Granted, she's also stiff with Lindsey, but at least that stiffness has a back-story.

Yes, it was a shorter set and she liked doing the shorter. The responsibility was more Rod's. I think out of all the things she did last year, she made the most from this. Pretty smart on her part.

I thought she did less the 11 tunes.Maybe rod would be nice enought to lop some tunes off his set list to give her more time.I doubt it.His fans would probably come un-glued over that.

I wonder how much of this is a push/suggestion via management? Hummm....
I went to the Hollywood Bowl shows last year & they were awesome. But they were a double bill; there is talk of this time, she is his opener?? WTF? Awesome. Not only is she so far beneath her, I can't wait to pay $ 150 for 7 or so songs

The whole "opener" thing was alluded to last time around, as well. Stevie even said she was happy to open for someone like Rod because is huge and was a big influence or something etc.
If Stevie announces any other solo dates in the upcoming year than I'm not gonna bother with H&S, I don't think.

- Jake
Yeah, I agree about Tom. I wish those two would tour together, but I don't see him touring with her without his band. And if she guested with Tom and The Heartbreakers again, I would want to see more Stevie front and center. Singing back up with Tom's band is not enough for me.

Ah, man. I was really hoping they'd go somewhere far away from me so I wouldn't feel conflicted about not going. :sorry:
I am not a big Rod Stewart fan and don't want to spend the big bucks on this tour...but Stevie...she was so amazing on last year's tour...hopefully she'll get to have some fun on this tour, make some mad cash, and get back in the studio. But...it'll be hard to pass up seeing Stevie close to home...
I'm reminded of The Exorcist, when Father Karras is haunted by his mother's voice...except it's "Stevie, why you do this to me?"

I don't know anything about Stevie's finances, but wouldn't IYD touring have been at least modestly profitable? I guess if she's going to continue be the Queen of Rock for the next 30 years, she needs to make bank! :)

Wouldn't it be interesting to be a fly on the wall in Stevie s accountants office and see exactly the in and outs of money losses or profits for the last 28 months- the production time, the touring, heart and soul, promoting, etc. I wonder if the entire IYD experience was profitable

Thats the golden question.
Because I don't know the in and outs of record production - I wonder if Stevie fronts all of the production costs then WB pays all the costs of manufacturing of the actual product? Is Dave Stewart and musicians paid from Stevie's purse or WB pocketbook. The concerts must be profitable both heart and soul and the solo tour(including Australia)

There is no doubt in my mind the In Your Dreams "experience" was indeed profitable. You certainly didn't see Stevie running back to Fleetwood Mac for 2012 projects & bankable concert guarantees.
Pollstar published last year that the 18 show Heart & Soul trek grossed between 21-22 million! Even if Stevie just got a third of that gross, she potentially pocketed @7 million in under 2 months of dates.
With Stevie's solo IYD tour she is paid a guarantee per show. I believe her guarantee is @400K give or take a few, at 24 US dates thats a gross of @9.6 million. Plus she had her the successful Australian leg, so throw in another 2 million in potential concert proceeds.
In Your Dreams has probably sold upwards of @200K in the US by now, Stevie probably lost money on the recording. Most Artists get's @1.oo per copy sold, and she probably paid for the production of IYD, which cost her I'm guessing 1 million or so. But Stevie also get's songwriting royalties/percentage for sales. Meanwhile her catalog royalties, both solo & FM & were undoubtably higher last year with her high profile on TV shows like Glee, America's Got Talent, Dancing With The Stars... etc etc.
So I'd wager Stevie made @18-19 million in 2011!
@17 million in concert revenues
@1-2 million: songwriting royalties/IYD sales/catalog sales

I'm sure the money is a huge plus but when I first heard of her touring with Rod again my first thought was how it was a way for her to ease into things again after dealing with the loss of her mother. This way she gets to tour but she'll have someone there with her who can carry some of the flak she usually would have to deal with by herself on a solo tour.... and I'm sure Rod is a good time, too. He seems like a hoot to me. While I'm very disappointed that the tickets are going to be super expensive and I'll have to deal with a short Stevie set list, I AM happy that I get to see Rod Stewart in concert at least once in my life seeing as I missed the first leg of the Heart and Soul tour. (but don't get me wrong, I would much rather have an hour more of Stevie Nicks time than a whole set of Rod Stewart)
Just please announce a solo tour soon Stevie!!!!!!!! I NEED to be able to afford some amazing tickets and hear at LEAST 15 songs on your set list!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, there is no way she made that kind of money last year. I'm too lazy to do exact calculations, but I would estimate that she did approximately 50 shows last year, including the Rod shows, and that she got paid anywhere between $250K (as an opening act) to $350K (in Australia). That means she probably grossed around $15 million; however, I suspect she has to pay for her band, crew and their transportation expenses out of pocket. After paying off her lawyers, accountants and managers, she probably made about $9 million before taxes from touring alone. What seems fuzzier to me is the money she earned from IYD. Just the publishing alone probably gets her around $1 per album. Including performer royalties, she probably gets $2.50 - $3.00 per album but has to pay for all recording and video expenses. She saved a lot of money by doing the bulk of recording at her house and by shooting all the videos at her house over a few days. Not including the salaries of her full time musicians, the production costs altogether were probably in the neighborhood of $150-$200K. If she sold 200K copies in the U.S. alone (probably not much more ex-U.S.), and you factor in the "man hours" of work involved, she probably barely broke even. Ugh. It's no wonder she was so reluctant to record for ten years!

Stevie Interview regarding her tour with Rod. Complete Interview Link: http://www.americansongwriter.com/2011/09/gold-dust-woman-a-qa-with-stevie-nicks/
I was gonna ask you how that tour went.
It went great. He’s trippy, he’s charming. I’m used to English people so I’m very comfortable with the English people. They are very witty and very funny and charming. You can’t not like Rod Stewart because he’s darling, and he was very good to me and he gave me a chance to take my new album around the United States and do 18 arena gigs, which, by myself, I could not command. I can’t play the arenas that Rod Stewart and Fleetwood Mac play. So taking me with him, he allowed me to be able to go play my single and say a few little words about my record in 18 huge cities, in 18 huge venues. He gave me a wonderful platform for that. On the last night I said to him, “If this record really does well Rod, I’m going to be sending you a cashmere blanket.” He really helped me in giving me that platform.
Did it feel like there was a particular age group in the audience or were you reaching new fans as well?
In Rod’s show?
Yeah.
Well, I’m starting to really be aware that there are children out there, I mean there’s kids, there’s 14-year-olds and 15-year-olds and 12-year-olds and 18-year-olds and 25-year-olds and 32-year-olds. It’s pretty much going across the board now, which is great. And it’s the same with Fleetwood Mac. When Fleetwood Mac first reconvened in 1998 for The Dance after not playing since 1987, since Tangle in the Night, there were mostly people that were our age, a lot of people who looked definitely older, and Lindsey said, “Where are the younger people?” I said “Lindsey, give it a chance here, these are all the people that are our fans, and their children will come along with them and so will their grandchildren, by the way, so just give it two weeks,” and in fact that’s exactly what happened. Within weeks, there was like, super young people there, and it’s because we had great, serious fans, original fans in 1975-’76, ’77, ’78, and their children have grown up with us, and their children. Lindsey and I were 27 and 28 when we joined Fleetwood Mac—we had fans for those first two records that were probably, 50? Twenty-two years older than us? So think about that now. We’re 63 and 62. So if they’re still alive, we have fans in their 80s! [laughs]

I am actually more for it this time around. There is pretty much no way Stevie could go out and do any sort of real tour on her own this year so it is either this or a bunch of one off casino shows. Also, I think this tour will help finance and promote the documentary. The only other thing Stevie really could be doing would be working on another album, be it solo or with FM, which I would absolutely love! But I think she has made it pretty clear that she is doing nothing of the sort until IYD is done.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you didn't attend the last time. It was ridiculous watching a fourth of the arena trickle in while Stevie was singing. Not caring about "the opening act". It was so rude and so disrespectful. I'm ALL FOR Promoting in your dreams until it's done but playing 3 songs or so from it in front of an audience that doesn't care if your there or not is not really the best way to do that. This is why I'm VERY happy she is going to be on that show on NBC, Hopefully they mention the new album now thats promotion.

The best thing she can do right now is continue touring solo. There's tons of places she didn't go for during the initial tour and plenty of small arenas or outdoor arenas that she could pack no problem. Going back on tour with Rod is basically giving up on the new songs because I'm fairly certain she's going to go back to the old setlist she did before except for MAYBE exchanging one or two for Moonlight and For What It's Worth, I'd bet anything...
What she needs to do if she wants to continue promoting the album, even though it's almost a year old already (wow, time flies), is do promotional television work for a SOLO TOUR on say Conan, The Talk, The View, Good Morning America, Leno, Letterman, American Idol, The Voice, ect ect ect. THEN to continue the press, and I know it kills certain people, a new MAC album/tour.
I remember kids at my high school when Say You Will came out even talking about the CD and how they'd seen the tv spots and stuff all over the place. Nothing gets main attention like a successful album going right into a brand new Fleetwood Mac project.
I swear, she'd be better off with some of the people here managing her....

This is what I would like to do, no disrespect to Rod, but I don't enjoy his music and don't want to sit through it when I really don't care. However, I'm going with my sister who likes him so we will probably stay for the whole thing.
I wish she would tour solo, but I'd rather have her with Rod than not have her at all. I'm not even going to attempt to get great seats, first row in one of the cheapest sections would be fine by me. No way I am paying $150 a ticket when more than half the show is someone I don't want to see.

Sure, I wagerd she grossed approx. 18-19 million (between concert guarantees, publishing royalties (both catalogue & IYD) & artist royalties. You're guessing @15-16 million gross. So give or take a few million, we're in the same ballpark. I was just making the point that Stevie made a considerable amount of money last year (definitely in the 1% of earners) and last year was not a bust and or Stevie doesn't continue to tour to pay off IYD.
Out of Stevie's gross, of course you've got to deduct the cost of doing business & maintaing her salaried employees paychecks, lawyer retainers, management fee's, accountants, PR fee's, the cost to produce & record IYD, plus uncle sam's cut etc., ect. All in all she probably still netted upwards of 10 million.
And I agree, Stevie continues to tour this year to maintain her overhead, NOT to break even or pay for IYD or the IYD Documentary. Also, Stevie undoubtabley has many other investments that we're not privy to generating dividends on top of everything else she earns.
Bottom line is Stevie is completely solvent, she is not dependent on record sales to stay afloat any longer. The bulk of her bank has been touring the last 10-11 years solo or with FM. But Stevie (more so than any other member of FM) continues to have a decent amount of overhead; parasitic family & extended family to support, musicians on retainer as well as other employees, managers, etc. She will pare down as she grows older obviously, but she is getting while she still can.

In Your Dreams is done. She's not touring to promote that. No more than she's been touring a little almost every year the past decade with no new music to promote.
Stevie is touring to promote STEVIE!
That's what she's always done. Stevie is a brand. Since the begining of the last decade she's been working it the best way she can. She's touring with Rod because she can do the least amount of work to reach the widest possible audience. It's also a way for her to bank the easiest paycheck. Mama has overhead. Breaking even is still worth it to her if her people can make a living while she keeps the "legend" going for as long as possible without falling into the red to do it.
Touring with the Mac comes with a huge can of worms for Stevie. The politics of that situation changes everything. If making money was her ultimate goal, she'd run the Mac into the ground while singing all the way to the bank. Fleetwood Mac is a brand too, but with a different agenda. Stevie is only one link in the chain.
Question is, if not for the money or promoting new music...why keep the Stevie thing going? She can collect her Social Security now. No matter how much we think she lives for her music, she won't die if she stops working. Her solo image/legacy is about a solid as it's ever going to get.
Best guess: if Fleetwood Mac ever does another project it doesn't hurt that Stevie, and Lindsey, too, have continued to work and keep themselves in the public eye since 2003. Maybe they've got something else up their sleeve?
Edit: I meant this for a different thread. Sorry for the double post.

I'm ALL FOR Promoting in your dreams until it's done but playing 3 songs or so from it in front of an audience that doesn't care if your there or not is not really the best way to do that.
And THIS is why I'm not going. Who needs it? I don't want to seethe with anger at a concert, I want to enjoy Stevie!
And regarding the little interview snippet: "Tangle in the Night?" Now THAT would have been a great title for that album!

I agree with all of this. :wavey: I'll probably go to at least one show. Leave after Stevie's set. I'm not doing Rod again.
I didn't see Rod & Stevie last year, but did get to see her solo. I will go this time around if they come close. I drove 4.5 hrs and to another state to see her solo. At this point in her career and my life, I know what the important things in life are....seeing my favorites (Stevie's #1) as many times as I can. Not sure if she will tour past late spring- weather will be heating up, so maybe it will be a short reunion...

What I enjoyed at the concert we saw was that Stevie really seemed to be 'working it' with Rod's audience. She moved her body much more than when she performs to her own audience.I enjoyed the soccerball section of the show. It would be cool if Stevie could do something similar, like maybe throw some cute stuffed animals into the audience or shoot some IYD documentaries from a cannon into the crowd.

I must be in the minority here, I actually liked the show last year. I went going only to see Stevie but ended up really liking Rod's show. I'm hoping she comes back to the Mohegan Sun this time around.
Stevie has said she wants to keep doing the IYD set, so I seriously doubt she'll go backwards and do her "hits" set only. She may not do as many IYD songs, but I doubt it'll be dropped completely.
I REALLY want to see the IYD set and Stevie chose to skip the CT area for her solo tour last year, so this may be the only chance to catch this set.

Oh Stevie, if you're not going solo, then why not tour with some old pals with the names of John, Mick and Lindsey. Makes no sense to me. I'd pay good money to see you with them, but NOT Rod! :distress:

they can do leather and lace in rod's set cause his band is used to playing it. i say do stop draggin my heart around, cheaper than free, and it takes two in stevie's set.

you're right. since rod introduced her before she went on, they should just open with stop draggin my heart around like she did on tisl tour and then do leather and lace. then she comes out during his set and do passion and young turks. i think the most songs stevie performed on heart and soul was 12 so i don't think she'll do that many iyd songs. i guess she's still promoting that??? figure she'll do stand back, secret love, if anyone falls, dreams, moonlight, gold dust woman, rhiannon, landslide, edge of seventeen, ghosts are gone, and maybe stop draggin and leather and lace

I won't be going to this tour nor did I go to the last one either. Rod is OK but he isn't my favorite artist--or one of them. I don't really think him & Stevie mix together. But I guess if she makes some $$ off of it more power to her. I just won't be in the crowd. I did love her & Don together. I think there music goes well together just like her & Tom. It just doesn't appeal to me like it didn't last yr. Besides the high ticket prices which I'm not much for either. Yeah, I could go cheaper but well its not even that. The live concert thing just isn't what it used to be anyway. But if you go please enjoy & tell us all about it OK . Thanks!!!!

A few things, I thought she stopped doing the Edge walk awhile ago because of her hips or back? Also I don't see why she should change her set to appease Rods crowd. She has an album to promote and what better way to get it out then to play it to people who probably don't already have it and may not even know its out there.
This is really a win for Stevie on many levels.

Nope, she still does the Edge walk at her solo shows; however, it was simply impossible to do an Edge walk at the Rod/Stevie shows due to the barricades, which are placed at least ten feet from the stage. That being said, for the handful of Rod/Stevie shows being held at sheds this summer, an Edge walk cannot be ruled out completely, especially if they are selling seats in the orchestra pit.

Rod + "Leather And Lace" = not a good match.
He can't sing. (I could end it here, because that statement is true in general, but...)
He can't sing the verses at all, so he kind of talk/screams them, and in the chorus, he can't sing Don's harmony part, so Stevie has to sing Don's harmony part and Rod has to "sing" (scream?) Stevie's parts, and the result is a complete nightmare. (Although Stevie does do a great job singing Don's parts.)
If they MUST sing something together of Stevie's, they really should pick out a song that he doesn't destroy.

If Stevie going out with Rod again, I hope she does something to dress up her stage portion of the show. Bring along one or two of the characters from the sizzle reel (that would be cheap). Bring some flash. Bring the horse (much more expensive). Stevie's performance is solid, and her voice is strong. Hopefully she can blend in more with Rod Stewart and not look so stiff. There needs to be more "Vegas" in her act IF she wants to reach out to the fans of Rod Stewart. She said she wanted to use these outtings to reach other people.

When Stevie was going to fill in for Elton John's Red Piano shows, she went to the Caesar's show. She saw the stage set--giant balloons flying through the air, color, lights, etc. Stevie said she was going to have to "fill the stage." She was going to bring out the clothes, the boas, etc. That didn't quite happen. We did get the slide show in the dark along with the prancing unicorns, the flying white doves, and the psychodelic Gold Dust Woman backgrounds. But IF Stevie really wants to "sell it" she should "camp it up," in the way she did the sizzle reel. It'll cost some cash, but she can use this if she goes on to work the "In Your Dreams" cd/video. Or she could just play the actual sizzle reel so people know about the new album.

They are playing 10 minutes from my house and I'm still somewhat undecided. I pretty much won't go see Stevie unless I am within the first 10 rows and I can't imagine what that would run me for a Rod Stewart show. :distress:

I paid for five seats in the 5 fifth row in Phoenix last year for Hearst and Soul. I loved the show but the tickets were crazy expensive(through a ticket agent) ouch!:sorry:

I wonder if the plan is to do some East Coast solo shows before the H & S tour. I'd love PNC NJ, but not $200 again.

I'm wondering if she's bringing her solo show to places where it hasn't played yet. They said they are bringing the Heart & Soul tour to towns it hasn't played yet, so maybe they are doing the same with her solo shows? Which means the solo show should be coming to Connecticut!!!

I absolutely love Bank of America Pavilion because I always have great Stevie memories from that show. I saw her there in 2008 and that was the first time she shook my hand and then I saw her there last year on my birthday and got a double handshake and she mouthed "Happy Birthday" to me when I looked eye to eye with her and told her it was my birthday! I would be so happy if she is there by herself again this year because I was planning to skip this year if she was going to be with Rod.

I do like the Bank of America Pavilion .Nice place.I would of probably not go up there if Rod was with her.Unless its the only show in New England. But since as noted she will be there without him.I'll be there. The last time I was in Mansfield when Stevie was there.Which was a long time ago.

I know the interview is in April issue of Playboy, but how long ago was the interview done? Stevie said LAST YEAR that she intended on taking her solo tour thru 2012, so this was no suprise to Mick. Also, Lindsey is also out with his tour so it's not all Stevie. Mick's just pissed because he's not making any money right now.

They did not come to Hartford or Bridgeport yet.
That doesn't seem too likely either. Stevie hasn't played Hartford as a solo act since 1998 (The Enchanted tour at the Meadows), hasn't been at the Civic Center (XL Center) since 1986. She has never played Bridgeport as a solo act. Fleetwood Mac hasn't played Hartford since 2004 (Meadows) and the Civc Center since 1990. They last played Bridgeport (first and only time) in 2003.
Most Classic Rock acts play the casinos because they make more $$ than at the areans or sheds. Plus they are generally smaller and easier to sell out.

Mick's got to be desperate if he's hawking his house in Maui as a vacation rental.

I sure hope so!! Brokers are already buying up all the seats in the AMEX presales for the 2 Heart $ Soul shows in Florida. Seats that came up for me were to far away to warrant the cost. Would probably be alot easier to get great seats at a reasonable price to Stevie Solo. I'll try the fan club presale tommorow in hope of decent seats for the Lauderdale show.

Fan club presale? I can't believe I don't know about this. Could you give me a little more information? Any tips on getting good seats for Orlando?

The AMEX presales for Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale are already going. The Rod Stewart Fan Club presales start today at 10am. General Public sales start Saturday at 10am. There has been a few passwords used. You can check nickslive.blogspot.com for some of them. Mostly used was "Songbook" last time around.
Tips: I generally wait till ticketmaster releases more seating, cancelled credit card orders, people using the insurance option, or just check on daily basis. Also ticket brokers bring their prices way down day of the show. Also check craigslist. Good luck.
