This is great to see. I'm sure Stevie has good days and bad days regarding the loss of her Mom, but I'm happy to see her out and about trying to have fun.

This new pic is completely adorable!
I still laugh thinking about her referring to him simply as "Miracle" in some backstage footage from the recording of BellaDonna.

Miracle Iovine looks much better with age!

Agreed that Mama looks good here... she seems to have bounced back unscathed (thank Buddah!). However, as for "Miracle" ... really? I think the 60-year-old hipster thing is beyond ridiculous.

Yes, Iovine does look a lil' amusing to be rockin' the hipster thang at 58, but this picture is just adorable. Stevie looks so stunning and radiant! And, Is it me? Or does their body language in this pic just casually scream out; Yeah, we've been intimate before!
Jimmy extra wide gaping leg expansion  and Stevie pressing herself into him & claiming her trophy :p.

With Stevie on the outside of him like that, it doesn't seem intimate to me. If her hand had been touching his leg or crossing his body, then it would say something else. To me, she looks like a pal.

But his pose is a bit much I think. I mean if he was sprawled outside on a tree stump, ok. Hammock, ok. But you don't need to pose with someone leaning back with your legs agape, while sitting on a sofa like that. It's like he's trying to say, "just chillin'" a bit too loudly.

Anyway, he's got a lot of power and is a good guy to rub shoulders with.

I get more of a Cheshire Cat vibe from her in this picture. Almost as if she's saying "F*** you, Reprise for not promoting my brilliant last album. Interscope, here I come!!"

Yeah, It's great to see that they are still "pals";). And I know more than a just a few of us would L O V E for them to collaborate on a project again .
Hopefully Stevie has Jimmy's ear, and has asked for advice once or twice. I would die to know what Jimmy thinks of Stevie's last project. And even more interested to hear what direction he thinks Stevie should go from here.

Oh, wouldn't that just be the best thing EVER! It's so beyond time for Stevie AND FM to move on from Warners. Hell, Madonna did it without a blink! (Though loyalty is not her thang). But still, one could only hope she'd do a project for Interscope with Jimmy overseeing.

Billboard,
http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/record-labels/jimmy-iovine-honored-by-dr-dre-stevie-nicks-1006139952.story

The Grammy week celebration that honors producers and engineers, now in its fifth year, has earned a reputation for being a casual and easygoing event with little pretense and considerable camaraderie. It's hardly a surprise that in the Village Studios largest room, where Interscope chief/Beats by Dre co-founder/former producer and engineer Jimmy Iovine was honored with the Recording Academy Presidents Merit Award on Wednesday night, standing in the front row stage left was Dr. Dre while at stage right was Stevie Nicks. No heavy security needed.

Nicks, Dre and an audience that included Mary J. Blige, P. Diddy, Will.I.Am, Colbie Caillat, Sheila E. Lady Gaga producer/songwriter RedOne and many more (see below) heard Skylar Grey perform on piano a medley of "I'm Coming Home," "Love the Way You Lie" and "I Need a Doctor" and, after Iovine's 20-minute speech, Lana Del Rey perform "Video Games."

Jimmy Jam and Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow also participated in the presentation to Iovine.

Iovine, whose public profile rose last year when he appeared regularly on "American Idol," gave shout-outs to Larry Jackson, executive VP of A&R, Universal Music Group UK chief executive David Joseph, Eminem manager Paul Rosenberg, Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and hitmaker Polow da Don. He also pledged support to P. Diddy, noting "we're bringing back Bad Boy in a big way."

Jimmy's pose is very 70's I was thinking. Also I noticed Stevie is wearing long nails again like she had around 2006 and the 80's since she has be sporting her natural nails of late.. When she was on ellen I saw they were so short, it was kinda odd.

Odd story but....
Sorry its just she is the person who inspired me to stop picking and biting my nails off at the age of 19 because hers always looked so amazing to me, especially on the cover of Bella Donna. I dreamed of having those kinda nails and now my are like hers. long and well manicured. I get somany people asking me if they are fake., So I have Stevie to thank for that one LOL.

The thread title is deceptive!:(

The word "reunited" gave me the impression that Stevie and Jimmy are partnering up to work together again! "Jimmy, won't you come on back and give me your heart." I was excited over that prospect, but alas, that wasn't the case.

Still, it's nice to see them together. As others have mentioned, Stevie looks great.

Here is another Quote Jimmy made about Stevie and Lana Del Rey at that event. This is the second time I heard him compare someone to Stevie Nicks. He also compared Lady Ga Ga to Stevie. Stevie obviously had a big effect on his life.

“Lana haunts me the way that Stevie's voice haunted me and I just love her album so much,” he said. “But I can't compare anybody to Stevie Nicks because Stevie has the greatest tone of any female rock singer that I've ever heard.”

He's come a long way since her Behind The Music episode. All I can remember from his parts in that are his eye twitching and bad clothing (was he wearing a baseball cap and tie-dye?). Anyway, he looks to be doing much better (and yes, got rid of the monobrow thank the gods) and Stevie looks adorable!

Los Angeles Times, excerpts from interview with Iovine, February 9, 2012:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2012/02/jimmy-iovine-honored-by-grammy-producers-and-engineers-wing.html

Shown to a few hundred attendees of the annual Producers and Engineers party on one of the studio's large sound stages, the mini-doc captured video of Iovine throughout his career: in the studio with Bruce Springsteen recording "Born to Run," and the Pretenders, and Mary J. Blige; standing behind Stevie Nicks during a recording session; and running with Dr. Dre (with whom he founded the line of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones) and Eminem.

Even to those who understand where Iovine, 58, has been couldn't help but be a little stunned by his presence at such important points in recent American music history, one that continues through his work today with Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, and two singer/songwriters who performed for the crowd: Skylar Grey and Lana Del Rey.

Grey's best known for her hook-writing abilities, and sang three of them on piano for the crowd before Iovine jumped onto the stage: Diddy Dirty Money's "Coming Home," Dr. Dre's "I Need a Doctor," and Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie."

After being presented with his award -- and telling a funny story about Diddy one time advising him excitedly that "gifts work!" -- Iovine got straight to the point: He is most at home in the recording studio, and learned everything he needed to know about both professional and personal interactions on the other side of the glass from the artists.

"You really learned protocol," said Iovine, "and the hierarchy of records, and how records are made, and which side of the glass is really important. When you sit there and Stevie Nicks is singing and transports herself to another world, or Tom Petty, you say, 'OK, I can't do that.' But my life got better both professionally and personally with every one of these people that I met."

When Stevie signed on with Reprise in 96', did she not sign a 3 record deal? If that's the case, In Your Dreams fulfills her contract with Warner/Reprise as well. Stevie very well could also now be a free agent. I sure hope she cozies up to Jimmy & Interscope :xoxo:

i dunno... in Destiny Rules, they were talking about going to Interscope, but stuck with Warner's when that VP schmoozed them at the listening. plus some stuff about Warner's owning their back catalogue. i dunno. i think she and they sort of missed the opportunity to change.... they had the most leverage after the smashing success of the Dance.... i think reprise gave Stevie a good push for TISL, but from SYW on, it's been terrible!

Actually, the "Enchanted" box set, as well as her buying out her remaining obligations completed her Modern records contract. Which enabled her to sign a new contract with Reprise in 1996. But no one can recall definitively how many records she signed on for with Reprise?. 7 seems like an awful lot, esp. for Stevie's snail pace  I would be surprised. Do you recall you source material.

So let me get this right.Stevies Enchanted collection was to wrapup the Modern deal. Then She scratched on the dotted line contract for 7 cd's with Reprise which is a part of WB.
Ok IYD is the 5 recording now she's got to produce 2 more cd.Ok I see the picture.I did know about the Modern deal but I did not know of I forgot how many cds are in the Reprise package.Ok I got 4 Ideas for wrapping up the current deal.Ok

1 Record a tribute cd for Mom
2 Record a Country CD and it would be a trubute to her grandfather.
3 Christmas Collection Stevie style including Silent Night and Chris Isaak's xmas tune.
4 contract buyout or by this time she will be at the edge of 70.

This is alittle off topic but this band called Lone Justice from the 1980's has connections with Jimmy Iovine and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. With Benmont Tench . and former drummer in Emmylou Harris's Hot Band Don Heffington.and lead singer Maria_McKee which she sounds great. They sound great .sort of country/punk/rock flavored music.I wish they did better back then.Today They will be a hit.

What I dont understand is other artists have 4 dozen if not more albums.she got a handful of albums. She's got tons of demos as we know scattered everywhere.Other artist slap together a album in weeks to months and release 3 to 4 a year. They probably are not worried about profection of the tunes. Then they become number one hits.Hum .I dont know.

^ Per Stevie's own admission, she hates being in the studio, it's the most boring part for her. I think that might have something to do with why she has, in comparison to others, put out so few albums. Not to mention that again Stevie's demos are generally very rough and a whole song has to basically be crafted around them.

Maybe with Dave making the process so much more enjoyable for her, she'll go into her next project sooner.

I don't think that holds true after her experience with Dave. She was very sad it was over.
