Hi, Ledgies!

Loving this site! Lots of cool exchanges of thoughts.

I've started this thread to share that -- when I'm not worshipping Stevie Nicks -- I write songs as much as I can, and I've been recording demos with my boyfriend -- this process is really helping me find "my" sound.

My goal is to perform my first show by summer.

We'll see.

I'd appreciate your thoughts, comments, suggestions...and criticism (but only if you MUST! LOL!).

Here's a lo-fi vid of me performing an acoustic version of my original "Right Here":

Thanks, friends!

I used to write my own lyrics for the well known songs :) But I wouldn't share them publicly. Firstly-that's just too personal and some things shall remain private. Secondly-I am not sure about the quality of my writings :) But going above these two constraints makes one a true artist :)

If I've learned one thing is that when writing a song and this is a little bit of criticism, I listened to a couple of songs and why so much vocal editing. I mean your voice in the video singing acoustic sounded good. Then I listen to the studio version of fever and edge of paradise and you sound buried.

I know it sounds cool and sometimes vocal editing adds to the song. Otherwise these are good songs and I think your sound is unique.

I write songs, but I am not a very good singer at all, I wish I could sing haha! I would share them but I am VERY self conscious of my writings...

You sound great! I do agree with nightbird though, you shouldn't do as much vocal editing, you sound great without as much of it.

I write and sing all the time. I've been singing since my mom stuck me in a some costume and made me sing at competitions when I was 3.. been writing basically since I first got a guitar, but only seriously for the past two years or so.

Thanks nightbird28 for your comment and taking the time to listen.

I'm a work in progress!

"Right Here" has a very nice melody. I think it should fit Rock stations format perfectly :) Coupled with string section this song can be a monster:)

Thank you SO much PolishStevieFan! My song "Right Here" has been a fav of people who have listened to my songs. Like Stevie, I pride myself on being a prolific songwriter/singer. I recently met my "Lindsey" who has helped produce my songs. We've created a page on ReverbNation to post some of my songs.

Again, thank you for taking the time to listen & comment!

I listened to the songs on your website. To my ears they reminded me of the sixties group Love . The voice and style of the songs sound influenced by their singer and songwriter Arthur Lee.
