Has anyone else been on this nutty drug? I been on it for almost 3 months. I just gave it up the last 4 days but it has been an emotional roller coaster ride. Angry all the time.
Good News: I haven't smoked in almost 3 months.

Chantix- I used it for 3 months and quit smoking once and for all, almost five years ago. I didn't have any nutty side effects other than vivid dreams and instant 30 seconds worth of nausea after ingesting it. Congratulations and good luck.

That's all you had, you were lucky! I'm really happy you stayed QUIT! Gives me hope.
(Could someone move this to Chit Chat. Sorry.)

The anger comes from the withdrawl. Its all the things we buried every time we smoked. I quit 5 and a half years ago cold turkey and I experienced every single "side" effect that people complain of on Chantix. Its not the drug its the withdrawl.
And congratulations BTW - that's a big accomplishment!

I meant to move this when I replied earlier-sorry. I too experienced severe withdrawal symptoms- ALL of them. But it wasn't the Chantix- it was the withdrawal from nicotine. It's hard to even remember myself as a smoker. I was a 1-2 pack a day smoker for over 20 years.

I haven't tried Chantix. I did the patch 2 years ago. I stopped smoking for 7 months, but then starting sneaking one at night, I would make an excuse to shock the pool or something and go in the backyard and sneak a few puffs. Only kidding myself of course. Then, when everyone went to bed, I would sneak another one, that led to having a few during the day. So for the past year or so, I have kept it to about 5 or 6 a day. Still not good, but better then before. Maybe I'll look into it. Congrats to you all for quitting, it is sooooooo difficult to stop. My children are dissapointed that I went back, and to be honest, that is a buzz kill for me to even enjoy the cigarette, so for them I will definitely try again, but I really don't want to.
