I've never given Blondie much attention before, but I have spent the last 3 hours going through their catalogue on youtube. WOW! I am totally digging 'Mother' from the new album; the video is too cool. Of course I realized I knew lots of their songs. She just seems WILD live!
So, what's the deal...did I miss the tour? Are they doing more dates? I need a diehard to fill me in because I'm already obsessed.

You rang?
Erm, there's no news as yet of a tour this year. The only things popping up are unconfirmed. They toured Panic of Girls last year and the Endangered Species tour in 2010. There will be a few dates, no doubt because they're a working band so they need money (just like the rest of us). If anything pops up, I'll post it or Kristen will, that's for sure.
I know Clem is doing some drumming for other artists and Matt is playing for people like Miss Guy.

Thanks for the info! I am really hoping they tour again. I will be going! Love the cover of "Break your Heart" from last years tour. Does she follow a set list? Many of the videos I saw end with her saying things like "where do we go from here" and stuff.

There are unconfirmed dates posted by some Ticket Brokers. Some show Bondie touring with Big Head Todd and the Monsters starting this month, all unconfirmed.
The only confirmed date is a private benefit show at a Country Club near Bradenton, Florida. Apparently it is $1,000 to get into this fundraiser.
Panic of Girls is fantastic. Unfortuently for me they cancelled their 3 dates last year in Florida. Hope something pops up.

That Big Head Todd thing is likely to stay unconfirmed... then never happen. There was one ticket site that listed them as Blondie when in fact it was just Big Head Todd and the Monsters playing at those venues and those dates. The only places I'd trust if I were you are sites such as ticketmaster, livenation, seetickets, getmein etc because they are actually ticket sales websites and the general public can't edit them with where they'd like Blondie to play and things like that.

I don't know anything about Blondie's new album but perhaps I will get a chance to listen to it someday. Meanwhile I prefer their classic output "Parallel Lines" which is a great listen from start to finish (and I'm talking about special, anniversary edition that combines few demos and rare live tracks). Debbie Harry had attitude and was sexy as hell. I still remember the look on my father's face when he saw Debbie in the video for "Heart of Glass" :) "Parallel Lines" is such a legendary album that many people tend to forget why it is so. "Picture This", "Pretty Baby", I Know That I Don't Know", and most of all "Hangin' On The Telephone" and almost iconic "One Way Or Another".
Love Blondie. They have had some threads about them on here before. I've seen them once live. Awesome. If you can, go & see them.
Lee :)

Yes Blondie uses setlists, a lot of the time she says that she's just talking to the audience some ya know what I mean? But occasionally they'll throw in something extra. A cover of the Beastie Boys' 'Fight For Your Right To Party' they performed on the tour last year was one of my faves. :)

Blondie is great! I own their legendary album "Parallel Lines" and it's really hard not to like. I must buy their "best of" album to get more great music from them.

I'd suggests getting a copy of Panic of the Girls. It is a great cd, especially if you like "Mother"
