I spent today working on my 1986 Mediafire files, so posting here, too! The Blossom Center 4 songs are pretty rare, and were shared with all of us by the awesome Chris/gldstwmn! Those versions are VERY RARE!!! She also shared the Weedsport "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?" which is NOT on my official Westwood One vinyl, so that is MEGA-RARE!!!!!!! I threw in Get Tough On Toxins because that is my favourite 1986 "Rhiannon"!!!

Thank you so much ! I love radio shows! I prefer them and soundboards to other unofficial live shows and my RAL era shows were lacking until now!

'86 was so wild. I LOVE these soundboards! It's amazed me how different some of the tracks are, she really was playing around with things. (actually, it's only small things like changes to adlibs, only us diehard fans would notice, but they ARE significant, lol).

thanks, checking out Blossom Center now :)

I think the Blossom Centre "Leather And Lace" is far superiour to the Weedsport One! IMO!!!

But I LOVE the Weedsport "Talk To Me" for the line: "Yeah, well, I've been down now... talk to me!"

The Get Tough On Toxins "Rhiannon" is my favourite 1986 "Rhiannon", especially where Stevie goes:

"All your life
You've never seen a woman
Well, she's taken by the sky!
Well, no, Rhiannon! You cry,
But then she's gone
And your life goes on by...
Well, your life says, 'No promises!'
And it goes on by..."

And then the next chorus, Stevie screams:

"Well, take it away!!!"

the vocals for each of the Stand Backs are COMPLETELY different. So improvisional (if that's a word)

yes, that is amazing.

The extra funky/bouncy extended intro to Stand Back/Toxins reminds me a bit of Missing Persons/Destination Unknown, lol.

The Blosson Centre "Stand Back" seems a little rougher vocally... I LOVE how she yells, "Well, TAKE ME!!!"

"YOU: stand in a line..."

"Well, baby, you could be standing in that line!
You're STILL...!!!!" Blossom "Stand Back"

"I did not hear from him!
Well, you could be standing
In THAT line!"

That SCREAM at the END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mikebise- Thank you for posting these! Im curious about the Blossom Center 4 songs: were those the only songs available from that broadcast, and if that was from a Westwood show, why would they be considered rare (aren't Westwood shows publicly aired & usually end up widely distributed)? I'm not insinuating you're wrong-I really am just curious, i.e. maybe there's an intersting Stevie RAL story as to why a Westwood concert was recorded but never aired, or some such thing.
Thanks,
Ricoh V.

I did not hear the Blossom songs or the Weedsport "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?" until this past Spring, posted by gldstwmn. NO ONE I know EVER heard of those recordings being available until Chris posted them (in MY world of Stevie Fans).

Maybe everyone else in the Universe knew of them, but I'm a psychotic Stevie fan, particularly RABID about Rock A Little, and I'd never heard them, nor any of my Stevie Friends.

I think they are fairly "rare".

Ooh, I like these uncoverings of live--not soundboard but radio-ready--performances from 1986. (If only we found stuff like this from 6-08-86, 7-18-86 or 8-05-86.)

Now maybe one of you folks can help me out here. On the masters, we had four or five true soundboard recordings from Australia that year, but as I recall there were two other songs from unknown location: TALK TO ME & ... I NEED TO KNOW? Has anyone been able to place those dates/locations?

Thanks to Mike & Chris & all the others who find the goodies. I hope you can find the 1983 goodies I want, too, some day.
