Did anything happen between them at any point in time? I see pictures of them being a little too cozy with each other..

There are some very cozy pics, but no info from any reputable sources. I like to think they did, but I probably have an unhealthy fondness for the incestuous aspect of Fleetwood Mac.;)

I dont think it would have had anything to do with his drinking. If she gave him the chance he would of been all over her. Just look at the Tusk photoshoot lol

With all the drinking and the cocaine, I'd be surprised if he could, well, get it up. I seem to recall a lengthy Rolling Stone interview back in the late 70's where John even said so much himself. To paraphrase, he said something like, "A little helps, a lot hurts." And he indulged a lot. I like to think they never hooked up. Their closeness and playfulness with each other reminds me more of how a brother and sister would behave. And I don't think Stevie would go there out of respect for Christine. My two cents, that's all.

Yeah? Tell that to Jenny Fleetwood.

^To be fair, I think Stevie was probably a lot closer to Christine than she was to Jenny Fleetwood (and any other wives/girlfriends of other guys she had relations with).

I have always wondered about Christine and Lindsey...
Especially after watching their exchanges during the :shrug:The Dance... ????
I dont think it would have had anything to do with his drinking. If she gave him the chance he would of been all over her. Just look at the Tusk photoshoot lol
I really don't see why sleeping with him would have been a problem...surely there were times when Christine was preoccupied with other fellas or either just plain over him and could care less who he boinked...so Stevie gave John a little inviting lookie pooh...
I mean, the tusk photo shoot videos with them being all cozy and what not? C'mon yall. Hopefully they were just really really good friends at that point, cause it's not really Stevie's style to be falling all over her lovers for everyone to see....so maybe that was just some friendly foreplay (but I do think they hooked up at least once). I don't think I've even seer any pictures or videos of Stevie falling all over Lindsey, Don, or Joe which are confirmed lovers...nor any pictures of her and Tom Petty or Wally (other speculated luvas).
After I saw that groupies special on VH1 with that chick who claimed she slept with every rock star (including all the FM mens) I kinda figured they were like most guys I've known over the years (Seriously-I'm not hating on them) that would take the opportunity to hook up with a lady if given the chance...I believe John woulda been a one time lover...and I stick to the philosophy that if they are bad in bed..well it just doesn't count.
I love the thought of Stevie having many lovers and still being healthy...just lots of loving. Anyways, as Stevie says, you really can't blame it on her, you must blame it on her wild heart.
Of course this is all just IMO and for what it's worth, and an opportunity to live in my alternate reality and over think things that are none of my beezness. Don't hate on me. It's just my wild wild heart talking.

John doesn't seem at all like Stevie's type: he's extremely dry, quite irascible by all accounts, taciturn, not at all romantic in outlook (despite his claim that he used to cry watching Chris play "Songbird"), & inclined to spend time in pursuits that Stevie has never expressed any interest in (sailing).
I think they were (or are) just brotherish-sisterish friends--hugely different personalities but psychologically bonded.

The 70s were permissive times, generally.
The music business was permissive even before then.
Fleetwood Mac were the biggest band in the world for a couple of years, and then one of the biggest for four or five more.....
I honestly, seriously, think the only thing that would genuinely surprise me is if there had been sex between the guys. That, I would raise an eyebrow at. But everything else, I'm like 'possibly' or 'probably' or 'of course they did!' or 'oh, I do hope so...' :D

Seriously. When Stevie was on Oprah saying that she and Christine never left their hotel, I smirked. That hotel was hardly a convent. There were dozens of people on the FM crew to sleep with -- you'd never have to leave your room.
As for John and Lindsey. I'd think Mick and Lindsey would be far more likely lovers. And I'll note that for most of the SYW tour, when Lindsey slid over to Mick after being introduced, Mick would kiss him.

Oh, I should add that I thought it was really sweet in that murky Behind The Mask video when John initially (playfully) acts like he doesn't want to shake Lindsey's hand and then revokes the rebuff, when Lindsey takes it seriously. John kind of brings Lindsey's hand to his mouth to make up for the slight. Swoon.

well, obviously the man's wife would disagree.... it's interesting to see the behaviors we are willing to overlook in a famous person that we wouldn't overlook if it happened to us.
Anyway, my point was, a steamy affair in some tropical hideaway or being whisked off in a private jet has a certain romantic flair, or even affairs on the road, but hearing stories about banging someone's husband at a party just because you can strikes me as a little.... disappointing. You're absolutely right, it's her life to live as she chooses, and ymmv.

Maybe she didn't know he was married? I'm not saying that Stevie had anything against sleeping with a married man knowingly- but maybe in this instance there's more to the story than the short paragraph we received? I don't like to jump to conclusions and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. It personally doesn't bother me if she did know that he was married and just "banged at a party".... I would give my future husband a free pass if he ever had the option to jump in with Stevie Nicks.

I certainly hope, if my future spouse ever walked in on me banging Stevie Nicks at a party, s/he would understand I simply did what had to be done.
But to be honest -- having sex with a married man might not be the most kind or the most wise thing to do, but she didn't make a promise to love, honor, and remain faithful to that guy's wife. Stevie Nicks or not, what she did wasn't that bad, whereas what that guy did was an awful betrayal. I don't think it has anything to do with people be "willing to overlook" her bad behavior just because she's famous.

I guess one could also say "I have no reason to trust her story," as it's hearsay, and so many things are spread around and taken for truth--particularly on the internet, and it spreads worldwide. It's not particularly fair. In fact, it's pretty lousy.

I know. People spread rumors about normal human beings let alone celebrities and they do it for little or no reason. I always hear, "Jane had no reason to lie." Whoever needed a reason? If telling a good story makes one the center of attention for 2 minutes, has people in awe and envy, then a person will lie. They'll lie about the size of the fish they caught let alone about a celebrity encounter. Having Stevie sleep with your husband means your guy is desirable to a woman who has had rich and famous lovers. Indirectly, it elevates you, because you reeled in such an attractive man, albeit an unfaithful one.
Of course, I'm sure there are many husbands Stevie has slept with, but for every one of them in the bag there were probably 50 lies told about conquests she never came close to making.

Of course I recognize that room. I was thinking about that today. I was thinking about women wearing scarves to hide the telltale marks and how amusing it is in retrospect, when the entire population of Collinsport just starts running around in scarves.
Man, I am going through something right now that is consuming me. I never saw Buffy or Angel during the first run and I just started watching the DVDs a couple of months ago and I am practically losing my mind. Obsession. Men who walk into a mist wearing long dark coats. Save me, it's gone too far.

Vivfox,Of course I recognize that room. I was thinking about women wearing scarves to hide the telltale marks and how amusing it is when the entire population of Collinsport just starts running around in scarves.
I really hope that the Johnny Depp movie does this story justice. Remakes involving characters that are beloved by millions always worry me for fear of feeling let down.

I thought it was funny when Stevie said that the only people to play piano for the SYW album was her, John and Lindsey. I've seen her and Lindsey on piano, but I've never seen John. That would crack me up. I wish that had gotten onto the Destiny Rules video.

And by John she meant Sheryl...:lol:

That's really nice. I can see why you'd want it large. I've seen pics from that photoshoot before, but I don't think I've seen that particular pose.

I don't think they had a romance, affair. But.. it is possible they kissed, made out for a moment during the 70s, specially during the Rumours sessions when they were heavily drugged.
Let's face it, it may have happened to you or a friend, high or heavily drunked (I mean if you used to) you just kissed a friend, it happens, but not big deal.
Here's an extract of Mick's book about the Rumours sessions. In fact those were crazy times:
Then there was the Thousand-Dollar Cookie Session. Stevie's girlfriend Robin had prepared some fresh hashish brownies. Be careful, she said, these things are really strong. But the band ignored the advertised potency and gobbled freely. We spent the night in such a bent condition that not a note was played and the engineers went home. John and Stevie spent hours huddled in a corner, giggling like mad over a copy of Playboy.

LOL. that's so funny!!! :sorry: but it reminds me of the time when my X close friend mistakenly had eaten a hand full of Hash Cookies, that her 19yr old daughter had made for herself. My friend had no idea that they were laced with hash, & went to play 18 rounds of golf, she just barely made it through 3 holes as she started hallucinating & could hardly stand up, not to mention she could hardly swing the club or see the ball:laugh:.. her bf helped her to the car & drove home, still not realising whats wrong with her, until she mentioned to her daughter that she feels really weird, the daughter opened the fridge and half her cookies were GONE!! :D:laugh::sorry: when she told me this story, she could see the funny side too, we both cracked up laughing. It was her first & only time being stoned..
Sorry back to Stevie & John, well i wouldn't be surprise, if they did indulge in some hanky panky:D No doubt back then nothing was off limit.... it was all about sex, drugs & rockin roll;):D Crazy times for sure!!

Sorry I know this has been posted for a while but this just made me giggle! I would kill to know what issue of playboy they were looking at. Stevie's a naughty naughty girl :) It hasn't been mentioned in a hot minute but I'd still put money on that Stevie has been with a woman at least one. Fine by me. I mean, we are beautiful creatures so why not?

After watching this video, I'm convinced that John and Stevie had a fling, even if it just a one night stand. :D

Hard to say. Since these guys had to live on top of each other for a few years, I can see the playfulness and familiarity being platonic, fraternal. I did kind of smile in a recent interview when Stevie recalled how handsome John was when she first met them. I don't think I've heard her describe him that way before.

You know when I looked at those tour videos that Mick recorded, even after they made all that money from Rumours, it seemed to me that they all had just one gigantic room to congregate in before and after the show, rather than separate dressing rooms. I just looked at it and thought, "I bet these guys (men and women) have seen each other dress and undress an awful lot, over the years."

Mick had the band recorded in an unprofessional manner. I'm sure you've seen segments of some of these recordings on Youtube already. The footage was not shot from great angles like a real videographer would do it and it has circulated unofficially among fans, so our copies are poor quality. The videos were never released by Mick or the band, so we don't have clear footage.
But if you've ever heard us quote Lindsey saying, "I don't want a cheese omelet. I want french food!" That comes from the videos.

At least I've never seen John kiss Stevie full on the mouth, as Christine and Lindsey have done, several times.

I'm betting something did go on between Stevie and John at some point... it would just so fit with the dynamic of this band.... I think it'll be one of those things, like so many other things in her life, where unless someone else spills the beans Stevie'll never reveal it. (I think of her affair with Mick, Don spilling the beans on the abortion, among other things). And I don't see John talking, ever.

Stevie and John have always had a playful style with one another. Remember in the Dance...I think the second chorus....Stevie turns to John and "waves"/wags her finger at John "....Never break the Chain".
Also, JM had a serious dependency on alcohol and other stimilants. I've known many drunk, high, straight men who caress, flirt, and lovingly dout on (kiss) beautiful women when they are under an influence. By the time this Tusk Docu was filmed, the members were all pretty much free agents by then. So, why not?
Who knows if they ever "shacked up"....but my theory is probably not...had LB found out...it would have been the final straw on the camels back, imo.

Keep in mind, when this photoshoot was done she had been broken up with Linds for a while, and just recently ended it with Mick. So it makes sense for her to get up close with the one guy who wasn't an ex-lover. And there's also the chance that she's hanging all over him to make them jealous. Wouldn't put it past her.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a coked up, drunken Dave-Stewart-esque one night stand with John too...

I actually wouldn't doubt that she slept with EVERYBODY, but I don't think John did. I also know that people who spend a lot of time together are very touchy feely. I just think of people in my high school theater class. You'd work on one play together and they were hugging and kissing madly. They weren't sleeping with each other. They just became that familiar. It was a release of energy a way to express this shared effort, momentum and excitement, when you're working on a creative project together.
John picking up Stevie and carrying her a few feet does not insinuate very much to me about their love lives, especially when I've read about what close quarters they all shared that first year or two, before they started making real money. I imagine a sibling vibe emerging.
