Edge performance in Melbourne

Not sure if this was covered in a previous thread/post but upon viewing EO17 performance on nickslive.blogspot I noticed the entire verse from "the clouds" to and including the edge wail was missing! Anyone know why/what's up?

I would prefer that she cut a verse or a chorus. The bridge is an important part of the song. It relieves tension and is important to the song's arc.

Yes, indeed, I'm just happy she even bothered to venture half-way across the world to play for us, let alone give the stunning performance she gave on Saturday night here in Perth. ONE of the highlights was, on the very last line of 'Edge" when she sang "I know what it sounds like when doves cry, it sounds like YOOOOOOU!!!!!!! While I've seen her sing this many times before it seemed different somehow! Also, while she was introducing the band, and in particular Sharon, she said when she first met her she was living in a tree. The audience laughed at the way she told the story, which I never knew, and that she had a piano in the tree house with her and that someone must of liked her very much, to lift it all the way up there!:xoxo:These are just a couple of memorable moments that come to mind!:)

I think its safe to say that not one Aussie has even commented on this particular thread :shrug:.. Anyway why wouldn't she ?? Stevie LOVES touring & enjoying a few weeks R & R here in OZ, she said its like her 2nd home:D:D:D:wavey: :p

It's expensive to travel there & ship her entire band/show. :shrug: I don't think that poster meant that OZ is ****ty & she wouldn't want to go there. I could be wrong.

If she would do that maniacal part with audio boost and Sharon screaming like Sisters ohm 82 Mirage Dvd rip. And Lori could do her red rocks Stevie live dvd scream from Beauty and the Beast. {Yes, Lori is solo on that arbitrary part of the song...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaooooooo.... she even had a little spotlight on her for a second. This I agree is an important part of the song...even without the screech. It is probably one of the most thought provoking peice of poetry. And imagery. So with the slow graceful glow of age I went forth...

You were lucky then. She didn't do it at my show in Atlanta and I tried to keep up with the others. I just thought she had rehearsed it without it and that's the way she was doing it this tour. It's strange though. I've never known her to drop that section before?

I highly doubt the AUSSIES who are going to these shows even give 2 craps about a few lines missing here and there. She's here. She looks stunning. She sounds amazing. I don't hear any1 else complaining about her songs :nod:

not complaining, just thought it was pretty obvious and strange that the most iconic part of the song has been removed. Guess she is on voice save.
